I recently finished recording ten songs - some new, some old. A friend of mine played the drums and I did the rest.

At present, I'm in the process of turning the collection of songs into my first proper album.

During the next month or so you can listen to a few of the tracks. I may change them once or twice.

Hope you enjoy listening to them.

Cheers,
Anders

Right. Five new songs. Recorded on two hot summer days in July of 2008. What binds these five songs together is the fact that I have used cities in the U.K. as well as in the United States as setting for the different stories in the songs. Cities seem to inspire me.

'A Cambridge Tale', 'Song of Sheffield' and 'Summer in L.A.' are songs written this spring. 'Building a House' and 'Ray from Belle Glade' are re-recordings of slightly older songs.

You can read the lyrics by clicking on 'LYRICS' which you find under the title of the song.

In addition to the music, I have uploaded three new pictures of Paul Kjærgaard and myself performing as Jotted Notes at a smaller festival in Denmark.

The song is inspired by a Danish newspaper article I read about the tragic death of Feraris 'Ray' Golden. He was found hanging from a tree in his grandmother's backyard in Belle Glade, Florida, in May 2003.

Did Ray commit suicide, or was he lynched? Following his death, the question was hotly debated in parts of the United States, and opinions differed widely.

Below are links to a few articles where you can read more about the case and form your own opinion about the story:
