This is just an update on whats happening in regards to the Graham Meldrum Memorial Campaign

It has now been 3 yeras since Graham was killed and his family andf friends have fought for and won a prosecution and then similar for a fatal accident inquiry. They have effectively taken on global giants ABF Grains (Primark, Pataks Twinnings, British Sugar Etc check their website for further details feel free to message these companies!!!) and TNT and at the same time highlighted  the biased unjust machine we call prosecution services.
Grahams death like the countless others was ignoble, horrific and un-necessary. Another life snuffed out in the pursuit of profit. The Graham Meldrum Memorial Campaign works for the love of Graham, the other gone before and after and those yet to go. Sadly we know that hard work kills and employers do but shouldn't  get away with murder.
Don't be misled into thinking that the recent changes in the law will make a difference, they won't. Campaign Groups like ours have tried to make their voices heard (Check Manchester Hazards commmitee website www.hazardscampaign.org.uk  or the Simon Jones Memorial Campaign website www.simonjones.org.uk  for more details)

The public enquiry into the Stockline Disaster in Glasgow is currently underway and the 20th Anniversary of the Piper Alpha Disaster where oil giants got away with mass murder. So the killing of workers with no repercussion except for the families isn't new. It's awards for enterprise for them and grief, loss, poverty and the whole weight of the law for us.

For us, this journey has been harrowing, the personal, the spiritual, the politcal- we have sat through four weeks of a fatal accident inquiry listening to lies, unexplained apparent memory loss from witnesses, disrespect and down right disregard from Mr Keith Thomson (no relation) Manager At Allied Bakeries where Graham was killed. There have been tears, anger, renewed grief and blows that will bruise forever. But the bottom line is Graham died tring to save money for a better life with his partner and his 4 daughters. For four weeks we have faced the caompanies suits who lounge about in the court seats, patting each other on the back, giving thumbs up to ''good'' witnesses, who smile knowingly as manager after manager under oath "cant remember" mysteriously. We are grateful to those individuals workers who bravely told the truth it was then we saw the "suits" squirm, hold their heads and avert their eyes as they realised not everyone agreed with them! The specific details of lorry defects, cutting costs and time preserves aren't worht repeating.

In the face of this we have rediscovered each other, our courage, our spirits, our love for Graham and our love for justice... real justice not just monetary justice. A special mention has been given to Grahms parents David and Lisa Meldrum for their CONSTANT appearance at court. There is two weeks of the inquiry left to be held  one in August one in Spetember A pound of flesh???? Karen, Grahams partner will be giving evidence in August (dates to be posted VERY SOON)

Undoubtedly what we are doing is something wwe will have to discuss further. We won prosection we won a fatal accident inquiry, a small band of people with love on their side can change things but what of justice?
The killing workers isn't seen as serious or important "just one of those things"  and thats only if you are included in their doctored figures: Part time? forget it. Migrant workers? You ahve to be joking right? Nothing has really changed.

You can shoplift underwear without going to jail
You cant wear a hoodie without being demonised
you can't make a pirate cd without being branded a theif
but people CAN be bought, sold, killed and maimed in order to please shareholders.

There is no justice for Graham Meldrum
.There will be no justice for you

Remember to live for love not for work..
