The Metropolitan Opera's LIVE HD broadcast of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice was presented on Saturday Jan 24th, live in movie theaters across the world!! This is fantastic way of viewing opera more close-up than ever before, and movie theaters were sold out across the country!!

For some countries it was a live broadcast (like the US and UK), for others it was delayed due to the time difference.
HOWEVER, there will be an encore presentation in movie theaters across the globe on Feb 4th in the US and on specified dates around the world!!

We're delighted to announce that Danielle's debut CD "Handel Arias" has just been awarded the prestigious Orphee D'Or award given by the Academie Du Disque Lyrique.

Danielle, who is currently performing at Glyndebourne in L'incoronazione di Poppea, also stepped in at the last minute to perform at this year's Classical Brits Awards after Anna Netrebko was forced to pull out of the performance.  Danielle went on to do an amazing performance of Delibes' Les Filles des Cadix at the ceremony.

I am writing a short blog today- not only am I nursing a minor tendonitis in my right thumb tendon, but I am also planning repertoire for my second album as well as a recital tour, so I have a lot of work and research to sift through!!

I'm also in the middle of rehearsals for Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea- a new production at the Glyndebourne Festival, as well as the final leg of my global launch of my debut albumm, the United Kingdom launch which will take place on May 12^th! The last 9 months have been such a wonderful time for me launching my album all over the world and meeting so many fans- I just came back from Japan where I sang Susanna in a new production of Le Nozze di Figaro (Nicola Luisotti conducted; Gabriele Lavia directed) - a place where I discovered so many fans I never thought would remember that I had been in Tokyo as a 23 year old singing Lauretta under Ozawa!! But they did remember- they even had photos of me from that year to autograph!"

Hi everyone, i just received some news that my album has charted in the pop charts in the Netherlands after just one week! I'm so thrilled - i certainly never expected that! Things are looking good for album which is available from the beginning of October.
Hopefully we'll have the EPK video up here soon so you can all have a peek.
