please take it, listen to it, share it, spread it, blog it, burn it, love it, hate it, chop it up, rap over it, whatever the fuck! it is now yours. i'm in the process of getting it on to itunes and other such online music stores, but until that happens i'm just gonna radiohead it up. i'll probably put a pay pal button on the main page and those who feel inclined to donate will be welcome to it. i'm also having a limited number of these actually manufactured, so those will be for sale whenever that gets done.

so i finished a new album a few weeks ago. 10 tracks, 34 minutes. i titled it "The Choir Invisible," after a 19th century british poem about death. because i'm pretentious like that

its far more song-based than the last one, with vocals by yours truly on every track except one. some of these songs date back as far as june 2005, so it feels great to finally declare them finished. i'll put it up for everyone to download (purchase? maybe?) just as soon as the artwork is completed

i am very close to finishing a new album. 10-14 songs, most of them vocal. pretty different from the last set i finished. i've been working on some of these songs for over 2 years. feels good to be nearing an end.

haven't really been working too much on my own music lately.. although i do have plans to do so in the near future

mostly i've been wrapped with putting the finishing touches on the long-awaited (two years in the making?) unsolved mysteries album. should be finished in the next couple days and i'm pretty excited about it. i think it really represents some of jon's (and my) best work. now here's hoping it actually gets distribution somehow..

im also about to get started on a record with saint francis and the christmas donkey that seems to be heading in the apocalyptic zen direction of latter-period liars and sunn o)))

and i've been lead to believe that sometime in the near future i'll be helping telenovela finally finish their full-length (has that been more than 2 years?)

Everybody keeps asking me about my newer songs (i.e. the ones where I actually sing) and while I'm very happy that you guys like them, they just aren't quite done yet. I'm planning on finishing an EP within the next few weeks, and hopefully I'll have another full-length by the end of the year. we'll see about that though...

i know that a while back i had this grand scheme to create a whole slew of mini-albums in lieu of an "official" debut, but after careful consideration, i realized that was stupid. most of that older stuff just isnt that great, and i dont really know why anyone would want to listen to it if it's not even interesting to me. not that it's all bad per se, but it felt more like a series of learning excercises to me rather than anything cohesive and/or listenable. however, somewhere along the way i did finally manage to finish a full-length album (12 tracks, 46 min.) which i am actually quite happy/proud of. all of the tracks i have posted right now are included, so let me know what you think. i've also got some cover art ready (as you can see from the new usericon). i dont really know what the next step is though.. i guess i'll start burning some of these soon. and maybe someday i'll finish that website. that'll be the day...

way back in february i chose "tiny specks of many things" as a band name after i discovered the phrase in a 1950s science book (in reference to the molecules that compose the air).  then several people told me it was too long and unwieldy of a name.  after spending nearly six months attempting to find a better name, i've decided that i don't care if it's too long.  so there.

i did a remix of the Telenovela song "Tube Feet"

i like it.  but perhaps its a little too dancey..
