About Audiri:

History
     We were all saddened when the great mp3.com was put to rest some time in 2003. A great Internet resource had died due to legal trouble and poor decision making. At the time our group of developers discussed building a replacement system. The idea was scrapped however because it was assumed another replacement service would come from somewhere soon. It has been two years and it is safe to say that no site built since matches the ease of use and functionality of the former mp3.com. After reviewing the current artist sites, we decided to make a go at our original idea.

Where We Come In
     The old mp3.com was advanced for its time. We wanted to use it as our model, duplicating most of its original functionality. Technology has changed however, and we feel that we can aid the experience by using some of these new technologies. This includes JavaScript, DHTML, and Macromedia Flash on the client side, and free Open Source software on the server side.

Our Philosophy
     Most artist resources today focus too much on the artist and forget about the people trying to find music. (Most likely due to their business model) Our plan is to provide all of the normal artist resources but with the majority of the site geared towards the typical music seeker. Our goal is to help you find music you like, easily. This means organizing music conveniently into genres, advanced search functionality, and a radio suggest system that can optionally play songs based on what our computers think you will like. Our charts are easily sortable by popularity (believe it or not a feature lacking on some audio sites) We also track plays in several different ways. Our pages are designed to be simple and load quickly and not slow your system down. We choose a color scheme that is easy on the eyes, and font sizes that can be read. All of this adds up to a viewing and listening experience that we hope will keep you coming back.
