Hi everyone,

I'm very proud to have been a part of this project.  It's one of the first films to have been shot on the Red One digital cinema camera.  The production quality is nothing short of amazing.  The blockbuster film "Knowing" by Alex Proyas was also shot on the Red One, and I think UYUNI looks better.

Here is a link if you want to watch the first 2 minutes: http://vimeo.com/3507130
It's coming to a festival near you, so keep updated on the website: http://uyuni.eu

The album "Magnificent Accident" is finally finished.  It will be available at any digital media outlet (iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon etc.) very soon.  The official release date was Dec. 15th. 2008.  It can currently be fully streamed at Last.FM.  Listen for Courtnee Papastathis' haunting vocals in the 6th track "Last Breath".  She's amazing.

This album is about life and death.  The cycle of a human life is very similar to that of, well, anything else.  A star is born and eventually dies billions of years later.  A fruit fly is born and dies two weeks later.  Even though the time scale is different; it's still bound by that immutable cycle.

The rise and fall of consciousness in this unfathomably minuscule part of the universe fascinates me.  Chaos is a gorgeous thing.  Order can exist within chaos but only temporarily.  That's what we're experiencing now - a little bit of order.  As a society we must see things as "in order" or some alignment that is falsely eternal and rigid.  We're really just twirling around on a big blue sphere in space, completely and utterly integrated with the chaos happening over billions and trillions of years.

It's amazing we're even here.  I feel lucky I'm along for the ride on this magnificent accident that is Earth.

"Magnificent Accident" is my subjective point of view of a human's life cycle, still precious within the chaos.

Hello everyone,

My new album Noir Ambiance is available on iTunes for $7.92
It's also available on Snocap.

Listener reviews:

"I've never felt the urge to write a review of an album, mainly because nothing has really struck the core of my being.  That being said, I absoulutely love this album-it strikes a chord - deep, meaningfull, full of concept. Honestly, this sis one of the best of my collection of Ambient albums. I can't wait to see what else Aaron marshall will release.  Consider me a BIG FAN of this album." - Inertia

"I came across your music totally by accident last night at a friend's place and I've been listening to "Noir Ambiance" on repeat ever since. Very affecting piece of art." - Film Director, Jake Dolgy

If you're a last.fm listener, I'd appreciate some scrobbling from time to time. I hope you enjoy the experience. Please don't hesitate to contact me with your feedback. If you like the album, spread the word.

Thanks, and happy listening.

Hi,

I've recently discovered http://last.fm. I love it.  Last.fm, the people who run it, and patrons alike are great.  It feels like back in the day when the internet was actually cool and not a big corporate mess.

If you haven't already signed up; you should.  You can install this clever little tool that will send what music you're playing in iTunes, Windows Media Player, or Winamp to your personal page.  This is called "scrobbling"  It helps relatively unknown artists spread the word.

I'm releasing an ambient album in the coming months entitled "Noir Ambiance".  I'll speak more about it in my next entry.  I would appreciate any scrobbles I could get.  Meanwhile, get a Last.fm account and look me up:

I'll talk to you soon.
