Ahoy, thanks for enduring our latest debacle at Launchpad. Seriously, we had something like fun, and hopefully your ears have recovered from the screeching feedback at the beginning (note: that was ALL Jaik).

Just sayin’, we are attempting to mix down some demos of our greatest hits into something resembling a real demo. This will consist of mixes only slightly above the quality of those you hear on our profile. Yikes.

But yeah, we will start putting up new songs (with vocals!) when they get done, and we seriously want some feedback on which ones you like the best. Once that feedback is in, we will ignore it entirely and decide for ourselves on some songs to record in a real studio sometime this summer.

I know this is all a bit fast for a band that maaaaybe should practice a bit more before getting in front of people. But we don’t care. We’re the goddamn Black Globes.

Allright people, listen, before you un-friend us on myspace, realize that the two recordings above were not just recorded in one take, but they were WRITTEN in one take. Yes, they are "jams", improvised on the spot. Just like our heroes in jam bands.

So, in the above context, the songs you hear may seem actually not that bad. UNTIL, that is, you realize that these are the only two remotely listenable takes out of 3549 recordings over the last months.

Eventually we might resort to "remembering" the noises we make in the basement, and even may play them MORE THAN ONCE, this time with a layer of yelling on top. But until Belgium stops making table beer, that's not gonna happen much.

But you'll love it anyway.

You all came out to the show. Wow. Those of you who sat through the entire set, our apologies. Those of you who saw only the last "song", MAJOR APOLOGIES. Meaning, we regret and apologize for nothing. You loved it anyway. There will be more live performances, respite with playing AND singing at the SAME TIME. Holy Shit.

It's not going to be that long till we have demos up here FOR REALS, so til then try to keep that ol' head outta the oven.

Ummmmm yeah, on Saturday. Show. Jewel and Jaik's house for Jaik's birthday. Come if invited, and don't bring friends that are in bands, because this one's gonna suck i.e be our first show i.e. be AWESOME.

and please bring beer. lots of it. And Old Crow whiskey for me.
