HERE IT IS. THE FULL LENGTH BJORK REMIX ALBUM BY MOE POPE & HEADNODIC for... FREE DOWNLOAD!!! MegaBjork is... Moe Pope on vocals (from the Groups: Project Move, Electric, & Mission:) Headnodic on production (from the groups: Crown City Rockers, the Mighty Underdogs, & Mission:) Bjork on UN-knowingly and UN-officially donating her music to us so we could tribute her and all of her dopeness. ...The story goes... In 1998 Headnodic and Moe Pope met and began working together in the group Mission: (...releasing the underground hip hop classic "Mission: One"). in 2008 (a decade later for those who flunked 3rd grade math), they reunited to make the critically acclaimed album "Megaphone" (NatAural High Records 2008). ...The story continues... During the recording of the "Megaphone" album they would unwind from a hard days work in the studio, at Headnod's favorite dive bar (Ye Olde Hut on College ave. in Berkeley CA). While playing pool, they rambled on about making a remix album using all Radiohead samples (or maybe Bjork). At that point a random drunk said "Noh yoou neede to usse BJjork... SHe ROCKS!!!" That note of wisdom struck Headnod 4 months later on one sleepless night at 4 in the morning. He went down stairs (to the studio) and did a quick remix for Danger Danger mashing the Megaphone vocals of Moe Pope with her royal Bjork-ness... "wow that's cool, I think I'll do another..." he thought. Then proceeded to remix every Megaphone song in ONE DAY (though that days lasted for 30 hours straight). In a sleep deprived daze, this entire record was started and finished, with only breaks for frozen pizza and coffee. "It was effortless... Moe's soulful lyrics went perfectly With that in mind, put this record on and enjoy it from start to finish as it was intended. Viva La Bjork, Hip Hop, don't Stop!!! MegaBjorkStarring... Headnodic: on production Moe Pope: on vocals Bjork: on being Bjork DJ Platurn: on cuts with special guests: Zion Project Move the Realistic Orchestra and DJ Vajra (cuts on BjorkDrop) Marion Bolognesi: on cover art

W: Was a bit of a let down. Thandi Newton is HORRIBLE as Condeleeza Rice. It's very distracting.
007 / Quantum of Solace: Cool
Zach & Miri Make a Porno: Top notch low-brow comedy at it's finest.
Bolt: eh
Milk: Great (though the documentary is even better).
Pineapple Express: Yes
Step Brothers: Not Really
Tropic Thunder: aw hecky yeah!
Dark Knight : I'm racing to get this Crown City mix in so we'll have something out in the next 2 months or so. (at least a teaser) So I haven't had time for much movie going, but yesterday I hit up the IMAX theater in SF and saw the new Bat Man movie 'Dark Knight'... DAAAAAMMMNNNN!!! I'm sure you've already seen it, so you know how fresh it is. Heath Ledger's take on the Joker redefines not only one of the most epic super villains in comic book history, but the entire approach to how 'real' you can play such a surreal sensational comic book monster. This new approach buries the Disney-esque Tim Burton Bat Man, and takes claim of the Joker from the tight grip of the legendary Jack Nicholson. This was the ultimate Swan Song for an actor who I feel (after seeing this) was just scratching the surface of being quite possibly one of the greats. That alone was worth the hype. But Aaron Eckhart (star of: Thank you for Smoking, and the Company of Men) was given a great role and he delivered as always, as did Maggie Gyllenhaal with the strange job of replacing Katie Holmes' shoes as Rachel. It looks like Katie Holmes held out for more money and got shafted, however she has a great project on her plate now. She play's the fake wife of a Gay male movie star heart throb, who keeps up the charade of being straight in order to keep his action movie career on A list status... It's a thin plot, but hey... That's Hollywood.
WALL-E : Movie of the YEAR
the Incredible Hulk- Eh, This is about as good as the Ang Lee flick that everyone hated a few years back (maybe a little better). The action was pretty tight, the opening 15 minutes was very promising, but alas... Nothing happened to the characters worth mentioning. I heard Ed Norton was pretty pissed off at the outcome, after being promised a good deal of creative control. Not a very creative movie, but I stayed til the end.
Iron Man- Action flick of the year, and one of the best super hero movies to date. Jon Favreau (director) made a very fun, and original Marvel movie. And this is the best Robert Downey Jr. role EVER. Must SEE!!!
The Happening- More like the CRAPPENING!!! This was a great plot utterly destroyed by M. Knight Shyamalan (Director) on his latest and GREATEST disaster. the acting is so piss poor, everyone in the theater was laughing their ass off whenever it got 'serious'. This could have really been something... Boo!
Kung Fu Panda- Incredible. This is by far the best (non-Pixar) animated movie since I don't know when. Jack Black is great, Dustin Hoffman is great, and oddly enough there's even really good Kung Fu in this delightful romp (I always wanted to say 'Delightful Romp'). Hilarious... (Seth Rogan, David Cross, and Jackie Chan also lend voices).
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull- Everyone is crapping on this, like they crapped on the new Star Wars movies... 'too CGI, not as good as the originals, blah blah blah' Guess what? YOU'RE OLD!!! These are fun movies (not including Phantom Menace, that really did suck). Yes is was way over the top and etc, but so were the old ones. I'd say GO, expect nothing, and come home happy. It's a fun thing to see on a Friday night.
random DVD top 10: Rocket Science Into the Wild Sunshine Comedians of Comedy tour Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Director's cut) Casino (with Commentary) Metallica: Some Kind of Monster City of Lost Children Ken Burns' The War (series) Shawn of the Dead
