Hello all

Well, October will be a busy time for festivals for us. We've got CMJ New York, Halifax Pop Explosion & HWCH.

We're having fun working out a new set as a live two piece again. Its a great challenge to reinterpret the songs with loops, samples & quick hands....looking forward to playing them live!

Really excited about CMJ New York, should be a great experience. I'd say thats where Krinkle is definitely. He's dead.

For HWCH this year we're playing Academy 2 on Saturday 17th Oct

For Halifax Pop Explosion we're delighted to be supporting Mates Of State at the newly refurbished Paragon Theatre (used to be the old Marque Club).

On a somber note our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Alex Fontaines of Halifax Pop Explosion who passed away two weeks ago. Alex was in touch with us about playing HPX and was by all accounts a lovely man & music lover.

Be well,
Justin & Elina

It seems the The Evening Herald have taken quite a shine to Elina!

Here's an interview she did the other week with Emma Blain...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Also, in a bizarre turn, the story of throngs of fans mistaking Elina for Lady Gaga in Toronto has got out. The Video Music Awards were on you see and she was in town. I'll have you know I blagged many a free drink/entry as 'Lady Gaga's fella' (not really)

This is page 3 no less...hilarious...go Elina Gaga!

Hey all, just a quick update on how the recordings going. We've roped in a few of our friends to play on the album and the result: expanded sounds galore.

We're really happy with the way its coming together. Although we're  proud of our debut EP we think the album's going to real step up. If you pressed us to describe the songs we'd say poppy experimental folk with electronic touches, if thats not too much of a mouthful!

There's less of a slant to the electronic than the EP but rest assured we're planning to release a pure electronic album in the not so distant future.

We're planning a single release too, which we'll announce details of soon, keep you posted!

Anyways, our good buddy from Glasgow, Gordon Wyper, came over and put some remarkable trumpet on a number of tracks, giving a real old style feel to some of the tunes. His inspiration between takes was Anthony & The Johnstons possessed by an East End chav who has a hankering for Pat Butcher ..."two pints of Stellar love".  Hopefully he'll be coming over to play a few shows with us soon...but minus that bizzarre motivational ritual...big thanks Wulfy!

And big thanks to Michael Orange with his customary stellar sticksmanship...his motivation was Ringo Starr possessed by Cameroon football legend Roger Milla...

Okay, enough messing, here's some pics of recording...

6am Beach Boys jam. Cue 'evil eye' from our neighbour the next day, he's obviously more of a Daniel O' Donnell kinda guy, next time we'll have to take requests.

Talk soon!

Justin & Elina
