This is one of many reviews that  have come to us since the show.  Enjoy!

Des Moines' own progressive band, Wreckage of the Modern City, performed a theatrical multimedia production Saturday, October 7th.  This show, called Singularity - named after the band's latest CD, changed the way Des Moines does music.

Wreckage of the Modern City has always put on a high powered and intense show but with Singularity's addition of live action and new multimedia sequences the audience was transported to another dimension of experience.  The music was anything but a soundtrack.  The band used their eclectic lyrics and stunning ensemble of visual imagery as the backdrop for a live enactment of the journey behind their CD Singularity.  With Scott Lemon's emotional voice, Dustin Oliverson's ability to sound like a million drummers in one, Mark Schultz's extreme guitar mastering and Tom Ancell's mix of bass, keyboard and electronica the show of Singularity commands attention and deserves recognition.

I had the pleasure of taking two WOTMC virgins with me that Saturday and watching there excitement in just being there was almost as incredible as listing to their enthusiasm and appreciation after the experience of the show.

The standing ovation the band, actors and dancers received was more than deserved.  WOTMC served up a show the likes of which Des Moines hasn't seen.  Thank you Wreckage of the Modern City for allowing your audience to accompany you on this journey.
