October 16th is the date of our huge CD release party. Finally we are ready to unveil our first full length CD 'Within Reach'. It has 5 of the 6 songs from our Brilliant Display EP all remixed and mastered and some new stuff that you will fall in love with. The show will be at the Town Square shopping Center on Las Vegas Blvd south of the Mandalay Bay. Show is All Ages, FREE and starts at 8pm... and we're pulling out all the stops. You will not be disappointed, Promise! And the after party will be held at Blue Martini right after our performance. It's normally $20 to get in, but since they are hosting our after party, along with 'NOMOSA' (www.nomosa.com)  we've got a special deal for you-if you buy our cd at the door for $10 you get in free AND get 50% off all drinks inside! Can't beat that with a stick... So come celebrate with us as we show Las Vegas what a CD release is all about.

October 17th we are playing the biggest concert in Las Vegas called the Bite of Las Vegas hosted every year by MIX 94.1 at Desert Breeze Park. We have the privilege of headlining the locals stage alongside bands 'Imagine Dragons', 'Red Wine Rewind' and 'Bri'. Also playing that night is 'Train', 'Blue October' and 'Uncle Kracker'. You won't wanna miss this show, only $8 and all ages. And yes if you happen to make the mistake of missing our awesome cd release party the night before (which would be a huge mistake) we will be selling all our merch at the Bite of Las Vegas. We are so excited to announce that our New Album “WITHIN REACH” will be available very soon. This album has been an amazing labor of love for us. We have worked so hard at developing powerful new songs that really share the heart of Theory of Flight with the world.      

 

Probably one of the most exciting things about this album is the door that has opened for us with Mark Needham. Mark has been nominated numerous times for Grammys for his work with, The Killers and Chris Isaak. So naturally walking into his studio in Los Angeles was a huge high for us. Sitting there face to face with an international music legend is quite humbling. I love the quote that Ronnie from the Killers said: “Never have I seen a Mix Engineer (like Mark) 'play' the console just as passionately as a musician plays an instrument."! Theory of Flight has been very blessed to have Vince Casas at the helm producing this Album. He has done an amazing Job! We are all very proud of his hard work, to make this project the best it can be. Everybody has really stepped up to create something special on this new disk. I can not wait to show it to you. To my hero’s:

I just wanted to take some time why it is fresh
in my mind to share my thoughts with everyone about our event on Friday “Rock
For Freedom”…..  Wow, we had such an
amazing time and everything that I heard from all of the troops being deployed
and the Vets that were in attendance was nothing but overwhelmingly positive…
We will never really know how this event affected everybody. I have so many
great memories that I will take with me forever! One story in particular was
about a gentleman that is being deployed and his granddaughter Zoe, he told me
that she was really having a hard time understanding why grandpa has to leave.
What is so amazing about this event is that for that one day Grandpa was the rock
star she got see all those people come up to him and say thank you for your
service. I can only hope that soon she will understand how big of a hero that
her grandpa really is.....

            I have three things that I pray
happened or will happen because of our event!....

.. ..

1.         These troops find strength, hope, love,
courage and support planted inside their hearts because of what we did. I can
only imagine the fear, confusion and uncertainty that they are facing as the
head off to ..Iraq.. and ....Afghanistan.........

2.         I sincerely desire for everyone in
attendance at this event walks away with a stronger desire to show their
genuine support to every veteran and active duty soldier in our military. A
handshake and a thank you goes a lot farther than anyone thinks… One soldier
that I met recently just joined the guard and is being deployed. His wife is
having a REALLY hard time with this deployment. 
It was not until he was greeted by a stranger that said thank you at a Wal-Mart
, that she was really able to understand in her heart and release him to go and
do his duty. These families need our love and support through out this
deployment!....

3.         Last but definitely not least,  I pray that our country will remember what
made her great. WE ARE THE LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!  I do not agree with all of the politics of
our new commander and chief, and quite frankly I did not even vote for him, but
he has my respect, my prayers and my support. Let’s let him do the job that we
elected him for. We need to heal around this one common goal and that is this……
We can not come home till the Job is done! Too many lives have been sacrificed
already in this battle to come home with our tail between our legs, hoping
pretending that our enemy’s will just go away. The only way peace has a chance
is when the bully is dealt with. ....

            My daughter Audia after hearing me
on the radio said to her mother my Daddy is a hero. That made my heart so proud
because one of my strongest desires in the world is to be Ahnaleisa’s, Isabella’s,
Audia’s and Julianna’s hero. If I can accomplish that with my life I have
succeeded. Truth is the only people in the world that I am a true hero to are
those little girls, but on the other hand these soldiers are all of our hero’s
they are the best of the best. They serve in the finest military the world has
ever known. They fight and die to keep this beacon of light that we call the ....United States....
shining free and bright. When will we understand that the generations before us
fought and died so that we could in our hour shine free and bright. As long as
we have men like JIM RICHARDSON you and I will live in a country were our sons
and daughters can shine also. ....

            I believe it is truly impossible to
see the implications of all our actions all the time. So many of our words and
deeds simply take place and echo into in eternity without us ever seeing the
fruit of the seeds we sow. Our great country has the some of the most amazing
and gifted minds in this world. Why is that? It is because this country is a GREEN
HOUSE for gifts and minds and talents to develop into amazing potential that
makes our world a better place.  We feed
more hungry, quench more thirsty and clothe more naked, then any other society
has ever done in the history of this great blue planet. We are not perfect, but
....AMERICA....
LOVES TO GIVE LOVE AWAY.  Mark my words
in our Generation we will see a cure for Cancer! We will find a way to
drastically change 3^rd world poverty. I believe it is because God
has blessed this Country to be a blessing to the world. That’s why it is so
important that these men and women continue to fight and die all over the world
to keep this COUNTRY FREE! Like the men who stormed the beaches of ....Normandy.... so that our
parents could be free! Our children will be free because Tyrants and Terrorists
will KNOW THAT WE WILL NOT TOLERATE IT WHEN OUR WONDERFUL FREEDOMS ARE
THREATENED!!!!!!....

            ....

            So to everyone that made this event
great and there are too many names to mention “....BURN.. ..ON....”.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! You are my hero’s. I love you and cherish your
friendships with all of my heart. You also are our nations finest. To these
troops of  the 221st Calvary and the
1864^th Transportation Company, if it comes down to it I will die for you
also!!!!!!....
