Current mood: blissful
So it was finally the big day that I've been posting on all of your pages about for the past two months - Fat City Reprise opens up for The Wallflowers. It's a few minutes to 9 and Mole Daddy steps out on stage to do something that looked important - everyone in the crowd starts yelling "MOLE!" or "MOLE DADDY!" or some variation of this... I almost feel bad for the people who came for The Wallflowers, sitting there thinking "... Mole daddy? What the fuck?" Someone told me later that when everyone started screaming at Mole, this man was looking through his program and leaned over to a person next to him, there for Fat City, and asked her "which one's Mole Daddy?" This made me laugh. 9pm, the boys run out on stage for the fastest hello they've ever done as to get right into the music. Not very much talking since they were told they absolutely had to be done by 9:20pm. The boys frantically played five amazing songs that I feel terrible for not remembering it all... it was so quick and everyone in the room was caught in the moment - sitting or standing, everyone was dancing. They opened with The Last Waltz, played two more songs (if you're wondering about the lack of song titles, reread what you just read), seriously rocked Remember Love, and then finished the show with a bang... and proceeded to run around manically to get all their stuff off the stage. Props to Ronnie for the badass sound he ran. I'd have to say about 90% of the people in the room got up and went out into the lobby to see the boys. Fat City comes out for lots of hugs, drinks and talking. The party commences. At least until 11, our four favorite rock stars, Bobby, Mole, and their families hung out drinking and talking and hugging and taking loads of pictures, just like always. I was introduced to a lot of you in real life for a change, which rocked, I must say. You all are the coolest cats I've ever met! Everyone gets thrown out of "The Music Box" out into the casino, where we all proceeded to stand right in front of the doors and be loud for more talking and pictures. At this point, the uncool street team leader who had to work the next morning at 7am, had to peace. But I do hear that there was quite a party between all of them, until well after I was punched in at work makin' hoagies and coffee. Missed the show? Upset? You should be. Best 18 minutes of my entire life. However, it's alright. The boys aren't going home *just* yet. 7/7/09 - Fat City Reprise @ Silk City 5th St & Spring Garden Street Philadelphia, PA 10pm 21+
7/11/09 Fat City Reprise @ The Bitter End 147 Blocker Street New York City, New York 11pm
7/14/09 Fat City Reprise @ Doc Watson's South 11th Street & Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA 11pm 21+I seriously hope to see all of you East Coast cats at one, if not all, of these!! A little further inland? Cool: 7/17/09 Fat City Reprise @ Brew's Too 116 East Broadway Granville, Ohio
And then alas, the boys all head back to Cali. Come out and rock!!

Hey kids - this is Erica from the street team. So, there's some cool things going on... For one, as always, Fat City's got some sweet gigs lined up for your enjoyment.... 5/25 at Les Deux in LA @10pm - $0 (woo!!) 5/29 at O'Briens in Santa Monica @10pm - $0 (woo!!) Who doesn't love free, amazing, funky rock'n'roll? And now for some news that the East Coasters will appreciate.... That's right kids - FAT CITY REPRISE is hittin' up Dirty Jersaaay with THE WALLFLOWERS. How sick is that? I hope I see you there, right up front dancing with me where you belong! I'll never be lonely again if you take me dancing. Check back for more info - updates will be posted as more information is gathered. And in other news - Fat City loves you! Love them back! Make them a cool Fat City Reprise sign to show 'em! Say something cool like "Fat City Reprise rocks my socks" (or something much more origional and creative than that), make it purty (just like you), and have someone take a picture of you holding up your sign. Send it here and I'll post it on the page for everyone to see! Also, Fat City wants your questions! Please, by all means, pick their brains with anything you can think of. All questions are cool. Even what's the meaning of life. I'm sure we'd all like to know what the four of them come up with for that one. Send your questions to AskFatCityReprise@gmail.com so they may read and pontificate. Need an idea? Or just want to see their answer to the last question? Watch the video answer to the first question! And last but not least, keep being awesome and doing your thing - spreading the word about Fat City Reprise, posting their banners on your page, helping to promote their shows, posting pictures you have of shows. You guys are awesome! ROCK ON.

We're in the RV right now truckin across North Carolina, we have to go south before making the trek across the west. Frank is a road animal, driving straight through the night and still going. Groups of us slept in shifts so there was always a few of people up with him , at this rate we should hit Cali sooner than expected. Last night's show at the Midway was amazing, the guys tore through a 6 song set in under 25 mins. They selected Cool Cat, Your Fired, Love Song, Cowgirl, Take Me Dancin, and The Same Old Song. It is fur sure, fur sure a sign of things to come, we haven't even been on the road for 24 hours and I could tell this is going to be one of the sickest, illest, tightest, mos def experiences of our lifetime. We'll be giving you updates as often as possible so look forward to that. Till next time, FCR Street Team

I've been dreaming of writing that for a long time, but it's true folks; we're goin to Cali. The bags are packed and there is only one working day left before joining the scramble of loading the RV and making sure all items and persons are safely on board. We'd like to thank everyone for coming out to Doc Watson's Tuesday, it was a great time and it is especially great watching the evolution of this band. For this show they played some of their newer stuff like You Are The Art and Love Song as well as some old stuff which has since been reworked. Add a Beatles cover, a high energy set, and a two song encore; the result was a really rockin show. Philly we will miss you but we'll be back soon enough. To all those in New York we'll be at the Midway Friday night for the offical tour kick off, the energy level is soooo high right now. I know tomorrow's show is going to be crazy, so come with and we'll all go to the loony bin together.

The Khyber last night was ballin. Spanish Blue rocked, loved the horns. The Hustle killed it, Dialects were the shit, did you expect anything else? Fat City tore it a new one with both Torn Picture and a new one unofficially titled SHANGA GA GOO, people loved it, they all danced. Love Song tugged on heart strings. Dinner at Rotton Ralph's, dessert on Bread St. Wait....there's a Bread St. in Philly? Made a left on Wheat, got gassed up in the parkin lot; blew a gasket. Tooties' b-day, we all got Lowe, it's a celebration bitches......

What's up? Hope Santa was good to everyone, he certaintly treated us real well. Things have been uber busy for Fat City. Last Thursday the boys played the Khyber for the first time ever.(I know what's up wit dat) It was great to be back to the classic rock clubs we're used to. The sound was gritty, the floors were sticky, and the music was amazing. Fat City got their 1000 brown MnM's and put on a great show. Special thanx to Soria who closed the show with another tight performance that they've been known to deliver from back in the Grape St. Tuesday night sessions.
Fat City also was on the bill for the IKE record release party downstairs @ World Cafe on Wed. the 26th. This is another one of those nights that proved to be just a little more memorable than most. Jaxon from MMR was the MC, Jealousy Curve played a great show, IKE fuckin killed it, playing to a very crowded room. Fat City took the stage again, and they killed it again. Their last two songs were Take Me Dancin, and Same Old Song which was like a double shot of esspresso in yo' plain coffee. The high energy was appaerent throughout the whole building. That energy carried over for a special Allstar performance with IKE's John Faye as ringleader. Some members from all the featured bands performed together for covers of Prince's Little Red Corvette and The Beastie Boy's Sabatoge. The Allstars killed it to the point of evoking spastic screams and movements from the audience. Both songs were amazing but I think anybody that could cover Prince that well deserves an extra pat on the back.
The boys were also at Mercury Lounge in NYC last night, but due to extra innings, results weren't available by press time.
To conclude their triple header the boys will be at Doc Watson's Pub tonight with an truely amazing linup that includes Preston Swift, Soria, and Wisconsin natives The Orange Opera(Come out n show them Philly love). If you don't know any of these names then you should really make it a point to come out tonight cause it's gonna be crazzzzyy.
If you haven't made New Years Eve plans consider the Fat City/ Orange Opera show planned at the Bitter End in NYC. What's more ballin than being in NY for the ball drop.Contact Fat City to get info on price and seating for the bus;seats are limited.
Lookin Forward to '08,

If you missed the TLA show on Friday I don't know what else to say or do to get people to understand what we're dealing with here. The bill for this show was amazing, probably the best I've seen in a long time. Crooked Looks, Anthony Renzulli Band, Blue Method, Fat City Reprise, and Burndown Allstars. It was like a mini Lollapalooza.. For me the biggest surprise of the night was Crooked Looks. The other bands I've seen or heard enough times to know that the rest of the show was going to be a musical onslaught. Crooked Looks had the songs and the stage presence that really made people pay attention and rock out right from the start. Their firecracker of a lead singer gave an outstanding performance making use of the large stage, dancing around making contact with the audience and band members. Anthony Renzulli Band was next and they were tough as usual, I got their album a while ago and I leave it in work cause it's on my make me feel good playlist. I was lucky enough to enjoy their company all night as the Renzulli crew and Fat City crew shared a dressing room. Shout out to you guys, had a great time, Justin we most certainly missed you at the party. Blue Method was next and brought the funk. The lead vocalist donned a purple choir robe and held court preaching and excersing the demons from the crowd. They tore it up,and if you didn't know who they were before the night you certainly know now. Fat City took the stage next, and I would personally like to thank Zev for holding down the merch table because out of all the shows this was the first time I got a chance to actually be with Fat City while they took the stage and it was a mind blowing experience. The feeling of being in the wing of the stage and having the band come out one by one getting cheers from the crowd with bangin visuals projected above was insane. They looked great, Nick and Vivas rocked the stage, slamming down on their knees, playing behind their backs. Jay was a force on the drums as always, and Frank sang his little heart out, putting so much emotion into the lyrics you are able to see a reality around the songs. Love Song was great, people seemed to really respond to it , Take Me Dancin rocked harder than Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve, and of course Same Old Song was tight as shit with visuals spinning out of control as Jay crashed his cymbals to the song's climax. Burndown closed the show and rocked the crowd start to finish. That's the type of rock/ hip hop fusion that I've been looking for but they are way too diverse to call it that. They also have funk and reggae influences that make them one of the most unique acts I've ever seen, very excited to see these guys again.
Ater the hustle of getting LOTS of gear and other equipment together everyone poured back to the Fat City house. It was literally almost everyone because that house was packed, Burndown made up almost half the party. I don't know how nobody called the cops. Champagne popped in one corner, smoke clouds from another,a keg sat in the yard, lots of laughing, a lil sleeping, all in all it was a ballin ass night.
A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU FOR A VERY SPECIAL NIGHT:
All the bands that played especially ARB and FCR, Mike Lowe thanks for all your time and energy, Brette and Brian you guys are amazing, Mole Daddy your the best, forever holdin it down. Tootie and Joan for driving 300 miles that day and not leaving city limits, Zev a merch sellin fool. Barbara and Marta thank you soooo much for coming down, hope you girls had fun and eventually got some sleep. Ever single person who bought and helped sell tickets, Nardini, Natale,Johnny Blaze, Mike B, Jen Pet, Natty Ice, J.Stella, Prince of Darkness, your name here.......................,thanx for your help spreading the word, one day we're gonna sell this bitch out.
Bringin the Noise,

Current mood: touched
It's been a long time my friends, Fat City is back from tour and played their first Philly show in nearly a month. During that time they played about 18 shows in 24 days across the lovely mid-west, and it really showed. When I say "it really showed" I don't mean in a tired, worn out "it really showed" but more of a completly different, even better band "it really showed." Each band member has become so tight with their instrument that literally anything has become possible on stage. Jam sessions, old songs soundin all crazy fresh, new songs that'll soon be crowd favorites, the whole show was on point. It was probably my favorite Fat City set, this band keeps doin this. You hear them and your like "damn that's good I like that", than you see them and your like "DAMN!!!" Than you see a performance like last night and your like "WHAT THE FUCK??" They keep evolving, this tour brought them closer together as musicians and as friends. The best part was that it was a Tuesday!! I've long said that our weekdays are more fun than most people's weekends. This is why if you missed last night you should seriously get your ass down to the TLA next Friday cause it's gonna be super silly! Let's not forget that both Dr. Dog and Jay-Z have played this very same venue a mere two days apart earlier this week. The energy in that building is so ballin right now, a lil dash a Fat City sounds good in that stew! But seriously Friday Nov.23 is gonna be amazing, the bill features Burn Down Allstars,The Blue Method, Anthony Renzulli Band,Crooked Looks, and of course Fat City Reprise. Tickets are $13, contact Fat City via myspace for further info.
Special Thanx: Stillicide, Head, John Faye, Billy and Eddie you guys are the best, Amada's white sangria, Fat City, Mike Lowe, Brett, Mole Daddy thanx for gettin your boy to work at a decent time,The Train Wreck Twins, Everyone who came out, too many to name, love all of you especially Jimbo who just happened to creep out of the darkest, most shady corner in all of Grape St. Gertner, I'm glad you made it back to Philly with the guys and that I had the opportunity to catch up with ya, see you soon.
-SEE YA @ THE TLA BITCHES!!!!!!!

It's been an extremly exciting time for all of us near and dear to Fat City. A RV loaded with 7 crazy muthas, 4 computers, a GPS system, and LOTS of coffee are tearing through America's roadways. They are embarking on a journey that has several purposes, the main one being to bring the Fat City experience to people that have never been exposed to the madness. I don't think people understand what they're involved in when they see a Fat City show, we don't even understand the depth and power of this group from the musicians themselves down to the core group of people they surround themselves with. That RV is a symbol of our power, mobility, and a lil good ole fashioned hardwork. Each and every show played, every gas station stopped at people will see first hand a diamond in the rough; the hidden gem. So if you happen to live in or near any of the places the boys are playing; do your mind and ears a favor, and go check em out. Feel free to check out their myspace page for further info and live updates of the tour.
The people on this trip aren't only friends but family so please keep the safety of our brothers in your hearts and minds.
ONE LOVE,
FCR Street Team

Current mood: mellow
Good Monday to everyone, it was a pretty pimp weekend as Fat City and camp hit The Knitting Factory in NYC on Saturday. The venue offered numerous floors holding seprate rooms each containing different lineups of music. Fat City happened to be playing in the sub basement where there was absolutely no air circulation. You felt the muggy conditions as soon as you stepped down there, but it was nothing compared to the tempertaure during the show. The set was killa; high energy the entire time. Certain shows go off better than others, that's just the way it goes. This show was so tight, it really proved to alot of people that the raw talent of this band can't be denied. The band's newest tune is sure to become a crowd favorite, which gives me all the more faith in these guys. The new stuff is as exciting as the songs they've been playing together over the past year. This show was so intense, people who saw Fat City for the first time were losing their minds dancing around the room. It was pretty impressive watching a group of guys getting up and jamming, it's always a lot easier for girls to dance all over the place, but it seems like guys are more reserved(except for Brett) when it comes to dancin. Shout out to those guys and to the other New Yorkers who enjoyed the show we'll see ya at The Bitter End on the 20th. By the time the show was over air was non existent, the band and the crowd's body heat led to a slight increase in temperature. God bless the band for keeping it together and having anyone pass out. The only way to put into words the heat factor of the place would be to say: Hot Ass Balls!!!!
All my Fat City fans in Philly come out to the Grape this Friday as it will be the last show in the area for hot sec as the boys are traveling the midwest.
Hugs n Kisses,
FCR Street Team
