American Music Awards? Am I the only one who is bold enough, confident enough to declare the music and performances sad, sorry and boring! The Music industry is in pitiful shape. Not really, its just that major labels these days promote the cloned, copied, repeated, unoriginal, and uninspiring.

Jan 12 2009 marks the 50th year anniversary of the Motown Record Label! The accomplishments of this Record Label is so widely known that the Motown logo is recognized right along side the logo of Coca-Cola around the world! It is the only record label that has articles on exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute! A Funk Above The Rest is an official affiliate in support of the events celebrating this amazing label that  during its "GOLDEN YEARS" produced so much incredible music! I allowed myself to set up a myspace page due to the continual urgings of associates of mine. They said it would be a great networking tool, which I have to agree it has been. But, I am not interested in a large number of friends just for the sake of numbers. Myspace has way to much "madness" on it as far as I am concerned. So if many requests get turned down, you'll understand why.
