The Foetal Mind



July 2007.

   Lord Trowe decides to found a one-man band after a crossing in different formations.
Being addicted to music and a musician, he gives birth to a project called « The Foetal Mind ».


   Inspired by some bands like Draconian , Burzum , Mayhem, Forgotten Tomb , Nortt , Agalloch ,
 Dissection , Forest of Shadows and Keen of the Crow , then Lord Trowe has captured the self-essence
of its own meaning :
the primary feelings of the human being without any word to explain it…
   That black Metal style, influenced by the norvegian stage, has built some heavy riffs' creation with
slow rythms, letting the listener lost at the middle of several feelings more or less violent within a
deep introspection….
   It will need only a month to Lord Trowe about coming out « Depressive way of Melancholy »,
the band's first record henceforth showing a style adapted to its recognizing :
a heavy Metal, came from roots, but staying centered on a melancholy and Doom metal atmosphere.


Year of disgrace, 2008.

Lord Trowe intensifies its activities.
   Progressively diving into a world from beyond the grave, Lord Trowe is growing up with the
Darkcell (Japan) collaboration, and recording a song with Hole Unveil (Middle-East).He also meets
the one who will be the singer of TFM, the upcoming Lord Dreef.


   During the forth month of the year,  Lord Trowe and Lord Dreef décide to work in parallel upon the
elaboration of this common project. Hammered on his war drums and rocking on in a band called Apoptosys,
 he has stopped the drums so as to profit his voice's working, introducing on The Foetal Mind songs,
some dark and desperate sounds.

 
Concerning Music, The Foetal Mind keeps progressing.
   We mainly will see that the singer's incorporation has got a strong impact on the structure of the tracks.
Those are more complicated than the « One man band », now become a two-men band.
Basically, TFM keeps that "lead wire" , that caracteristic which has always haunted them : a certain atmosphere,
mostly dark and melancholy.
Initiated by a Lord Trowe being seething with excitement, TFM will make birth to three other tracks after
« The depressive way of melancholy(2007) :
-«Severity of Pain » (Janvier 2008)
-«A Bleeding Dream » (Mars2008)
-«True» (Avril 2008)


Fébruary 2009, a new recruit.

The Lords mate are welcoming a new member.
    Lord Vaahl, the drums warrior of his state, is joining the band.


2009, the declining year.

It's on this sad April moments in 2009 that is coming out «Sombre Humanité» (2009)

Like a misfortune never swooping down , Lord Trowe décides to develop the band's concept instead of
those of a "Two man band": Sires Leiden (subterranean rythm guitar) and Warwollfs (névrotic impulses),
find access to the brotherhood in June 2009, lively by the desire to make of The Foetal Mind a unique band.
 
   After some crossings in several bands, like Först, Leiden décides to work in TFM.
Powerful in dull and heavy Lord Trowe riffs, an incisive inspiration supported by the bassist playing's energy
Warwollfs (Nefarius Misericordia, Run to the beers...), the new members bring a new breathe and a unique strenght
for a black Metal style whose our ears cannot ignore.
 
 
   The Foetal Mind, after a hard beginning, finally find what Lord Trowe's musicians make feel :
a heavy and dark black Metal stamped with melancholy and sadness, disconcerting by riffs without any concessions.
 
   To finish the band's likeness off working during the fall of a shaky world, the TFM members are now concentrated
to a long and exciting work: the preparating of the next track, called "Vocifération", the premiss of a more chaotic
and tortured universe although it was the main wish of project from the melancholy Lord Trowe, introduction to a
mental chaos and a human genocide which will keep going...

The Foetal Mind



Juillet 2007.

   Lord Trowe décide de fonder, suite à un passage dans differentes formations, un One man band.
Passionné de musique et lui même musicien, il donne alors naissance au projet qui verra le jour
sous le nom de « The Foetal Mind ».


   Inspiré par des groupes tels que Draconian , Burzum , Mayhem, Forgotten Tomb , Nortt , Agalloch ,
 Dissection , Forest of Shadows ou encore Keen of the Crow , Lord Trowe capture ainsi l’essence
même de ce que signifie le nom du groupe :
les sentiments primaires de l’homme sans aucun mot humain pour les expliquer…
   Ce black métal, influencé par la scène norvégienne, aboutira à la création de riffs pesants
aux rythmes lents, laissant l’auditeur perdu au milieu d’une foultitude de sentiments plus ou moins
violents à une profonde introspection….
   Il n’aura fallut qu’un mois à Lord Trowe pour que sorte sous le nom de « Depressive way of Melancholy »,
la première démo du groupe prédéfinissant d'ores et déjà un style que l'on peut lui  reconnaitre :
un métal lourd, issu des racines, tout en restant très centré sur une ambiance Doom metal mélancolique.


An de disgrâce 2008.

Lord Trowe intensifies ses activités.
   Au fur et a mesure de ses plongées dans un monde d’outre-tombe, Lord Trowe aiguise ses armes
en collaborant avec Darkcell (Japon), et en enregistrant un titre avec Hole Unveil (Moyen-Orient).Il fait aussi
connaissance avec celui qui chantera sur les textes de TFM, le futur Lord Dreef. 
  
   Au quatrième mois de l'année,  les Lords Trowe et Dreef décident de travailler parallèlement à l’élaboration
de ce projet commun. Marteleur des tambours de guerre et agitateur de foules du groupe Apoptosys, il arrête
la batterie au profit du travail de la voix, posant sur les chansons de The Foetal Mind, de sombres et
désespérées lignes de chant.
 
Musicalement, The Foetal Mind continue d'évoluer.
   On notera principalement que l’incorporation du chanteur a un impact direct sur la structure des  morceaux.
Ceux-ci sont plus complexes que lors du « One man band », devenu à ce jour un two man band.
TFM gardes néanmoins ce "fil conducteur" , cette caractéristique qui l’a toujours hanté : une certaine atmosphère,
sombre et mélancolique.
Initié par un Lord Trowe en pleine effervescence musicale, TFM fera naître trois autres opus après
« The depressive way of melancholy(2007) :
-«Severity of Pain » (Janvier 2008)
-«A Bleeding Dream » (Mars2008)
-«True» (Avril 2008)


Février 2009, nouvelle recrue.

Les Lords accueillent un nouveau membre.
    Lord Vaahl, tambour de guerre de son état, rejoint le groupe.


2009, année de décadence.

Ce fût en ce triste mois d’Avril 2009 que sort «Sombre Humanité» (2009)

Comme un malheur ne s’abattant jamais seul, Lord Trowe décide de développer le concept de groupe plutôt que
celui de "Two man band": Les Sires Leiden (subterranean rythm guitar) et Warwollfs (névrotic impulses),
accèdent à la confrérie en Juin 2009, animés par la volonté de faire de The Foetal Mind un groupe unique.
  
   Après des passages dans plusieurs groupes, dont Först, c'est dans TFM que Leiden décide de travailler.
Puisant dans les riffs ternes et lourds de Lord Trowe une inspiration incisive, elle-même appuyée par l'énergie
du jeu du bassiste Warwollfs (Nefarius Misericordia, Run to the beers...), les nouveaux membres apportent
un nouveau souffle et une puissance unique en son genre à un style de black metal dont on ne sorts pas indemne
à l'écoute.
  
  
   The Foetal Mind, après des débuts difficiles, voit enfin s'amorcer ce à quoi les musiciens de Lord Trowe aspirent:
un black lourd, sombre, empreint de mélancolie, de tristesse, déroutant de part des riffs sans concessions.
  
   Parachevant le portrait flétrissant d’un groupe travaillant à la chute d’un monde vacillant, les membres
de TFM s'attèlent maintenant à un travail de longue et fétide haleine: La préparation du prochain opus,
prénommé "Vocifération", prémisse d'un univers plus chaotique et torturé encore que ce que furent les premiers
jets du projet du mélancolique Lord Trowe, en introduction à un chaos cérébral et au génocide humain qui s'ensuivra...
