Hey peeps!

So Vv just did the best show it has played in its small existence on the earth.

We started our BDO experience going to the showground the day before all you punters could get in, to collect our passes for the big day.

Straight up we were starstruck having to collect our passes the same time the living end were getting there's :) we then ran into Ken West, we talked for 5, then he had get back to trying to put together the biggest festival in the country!!

We then went back to our accommodation for the night, a HUGE shout out to esther and guy for organising an awesome night of swimming, beer, noodles and other activities.......

So we arrived at the site around 8.30 am got all our gear together, did some interviews for MTV, and then it was time for Philadelphia Grand Jury to start our stage off! They are the band who play "going to the casino" and they were awesome! Fast catchy tunes and the bass player managed to jump off the drum riser and fall straight on his ass! good times!

Then it was time for Vv to grace the stage. IT WAS AWESOME!! The Stage, The crowd, The sound...... i could go on.

We played a mixture of new and old tunes, and the crowd seemed to really get into everything we did, and it was a great feeling.

Vv Behind The Scenes "Running On Empty" Part 2

Hey guys!

Vaudeville will be entering the recording studio, next Monday the 15th of December.

We will be recording @ Damien Gerard studio in Sydney for a few days, laying down the new Vv single "Running on Empty". This is perfect timing for us, as we will be releasing it around our Big Day Out date.

We will be working with Melbourne based producer Kal Tonuma, we have been working with Kal for the last few months, fine tuning and "cutting the fat" so we can get the best possible song out to you guys!!

We feel very humbled to be working with Kal considering he has worked with the likes of Crowded House, Evermore, The Butterfly Effect, The Living End......the list goes on. 

So we will be releasing this single early next year, then we will be preparing to record and release a new EP by mid 2009.

We will be filming all the studio happenings and posting it @ the end of next week, so keep and eye out for some behind the scenes action!!!

WE ARE ALL VERY EXCITED AND HOPEFULLY YOU ALL LOVE WHAT WE HAVE COME UP WITH!!!

Hallo Vaudevillians!

As most of you would be aware, last night we played at the Grand Final of the uncharTED band competition @ The Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney, and unfortunately lost to Kate Bradley and the Goodbye Horses in what we were told was the closest final ever!

Full kudos to Kate and her band (Marty, Ellie and Tezza!!) who we're certain will make the most of touring with the Australian Big Day Out 09!

We're expecting plenty of rock and roll stories guys!

BUT!!!

In what we believe is a first for uncharTED, Ken West (owner/creator of Big Day Out) spontaneously offered Vaudeville a slot @ The Sydney Big Day Out for coming runners up (something we don't think had even been discussed with anyone else!), which we of course grabbed with both hands!

SO HOLY SHIT VAUDEVILLE ARE PLAYING SYDNEY BIG DAY OUT 2009!!!!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND ALL OF THIS IS OF COURSE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS VOTED OR SUPPORTED US IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM (ESPECIALLY LAST NIGHT!) - WITHOUT ALL OF YOU WE WOULDN'T BE WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW :)

P.S - We're hitting the studio in about 2 weeks time to record our new single "Running On Empty" so keep your eyes posted for mini launch tour set for Feb/March next year!

Well if you have been voting for us in uncharTED and can prove it, come along to our gig at THE BELMORE HOTEL, MAITLAND  this FRIDAY 7th of NOVEMBER for free beer and house wine from around 10:30pm onwards!!!!

We're putting a lot of money on the bar for our voters who we can't thank enough for helping us thus far in uncharTED, and with the grandfinalists being announced on Friday we figure we're going to be getting pretty drunk if
A) we make the Grand Final,
or B) we don't make the Grand Final!

So to reiterate, all you need to do is turn up at The Belmore Hotel this Friday the 7th of November anytime before 10:30pm (we play around 11pm), find a Vaudevillian (trust me you'll be able to find us!), and you will receive your VIP wristband entitling you to free beer and house wine till you've pissed all of our hard earned cash up the wall!

Remember guys, Maitland is still free from curfew and lockdown, so if you're really looking for somewhere to party on Friday night why not come enjoy some free drinks with Vaudeville!

Hey all you Vaudevillians!

We have some great news! For those of you who don't already know, Vaudeville have progressed to the semi-finals of the band competition "uncharTED" - found at http://www.uncharted.com.au

This means we have made the top 8 of more than 1700 registered bands, and are still in the running to win the top prize which includes a slot on the Big Day Out Tour 09 and a record deal with SONY BMG!

NOW:

The semi-finals last for 2 weeks, of which you can still vote for us once every hour - just jump on the web page and hit the vote button next to our name :) - and to progress to the Grand Final we have to finish 1st!

And you know what Ricky Bobby says... If you aint first... You're LAST!

We really need everyones help in this competition, and as you may have noticed we are holding an "uncharTED voters party" at The Belmore Hotel, Maitland, on the last day of semi-final voting (Friday 7th of November). There will of course be free booze for all who have been voting for the ville', so keep an eye on our page and bulletins :)
