Moreno: Tell us about Jerell before he was a designer, what were his struggles
and accomplishments?  

Jerell: As I mentioned before, I was a model and at young age I was relocated from the High Desert to New York, which at the time was a major accomplishment.  Some of my struggles I faced included, but are not limited to the following: maintaining clear skin in a grimy urban landscape, eating on a daily basis, couch surfing and keeping a roof over my head, doing my best to maintain a fabulous lifestyle on a budget of nothing, and learning all sorts of new things about my  body; let's not forget I was only 18 at the time.  Until Project Runway the highlight of my life was playing Janet Jackson's boyfriend in the "Son of a Gun" music video.

Moreno: If you were not a designer, you would be doing what?

Suede: I would be an actor.  When I was graduating from High School I wanted to go to NYC to become an actor and my parents said, "Yeah, not so much.. You are NOT moving to NYC at 17 years old."  So I thought what can I do? I knew I loved being creative and knew fashion design seemed like it would be fun.  So I gave it a shot, and look at me now.. .WOW!!! Everything does happen for a reason!

Moreno: I have read so many thank you notes and messages from your fans and readers who have found your book so inspiring.  What has been your reaction to the book's success?

Lehmkuhl: I'm glad that the book has had such success mostly because it's opened so many minds to what our U.S. Armed Forces really does to our LGBT&Q service members and to the U.S. Taxpayer when they put people in our community through court martial proceedings and, ultimately, ruin their lives, careers, and years of hard work and dedication.  I won't stop speaking up about these issues until "Don't Ask Don't Tell" has been abolished.  Once it has been overturned, I will start fighting to have our LGBT&Q service members who were affected by the past policy monetarily compensated by our government for the human rights abuse they underwent under the atrocious policies that hurt them under "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and the ongoing ban on gay people in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Moreno: For those interested in your designs, where should they go?

Sweet P: I am not sure yet and I find this question funny. I was so busy working on my collection I have nothing to show for myself.I guess people don’t understand that the  designs we do on the show are owned by Bravo. After the show we have to make a newcollection. Since I have not worked all year because of the show I don’t have money to  make a sample collection for myself. There are some negotiations in the works though so I will keep you posted.

Gravel: It was initially suggested from a person I know, based on the National Initiative.  The more I thought about it, I realized I could use the celebrity of the campaign to focus the attention on the National Initiative.  Allocating on behalf of the National Initiative is the reason I am running.

Moreno: What was your childhood like?

Vosovic: Very suburban.  I was raised in a fairly conservative city in West Michigan that was beautiful and safe, though lacking in diversity.  I remember running around our neighborhood with my older sister and the other neighborhood kids, playing ding-dong-ditch at the run-down home of the local "witch" (that poor old lady), going under cover late at night to steal the bike of the local bully who used to push my sister and I around, and then leave it to rust deep in the depths of the swamp!  HA!  Man, I had a fun childhood!

Moreno: What did you parents do?

Vosovic: Both are still alive and working.  My mother used to be a surety/bond writer for an insurance company but now works at a radio bible station, my father has always been a genius with cars and has always been a parts-man.
