De Rigueur

FADE IN:

INT. OLD TOWN HOUSE – MORNING

JASON hesitantly enters the living room, his gun resting at his side. Blood stains his clothes, hands and face.

He stops in the doorway and stares at KEVIN, a very skinny and pale young man with long dirty hair. Kevin is sitting on the floor of the living room wearing nothing but sweatpants; he has old scars down his chest and arms, he is holding a gun as well.

KEVIN

Cold. The best way to describe it Jason, I know you came here expecting me to go off on one of our mothers rants… her long stories that I seem to have inherited from her. You thought that I was going to walk into your home and bare my soul to you, in great detail the amount of pain and tears that ran down my face. Brothers, with seemingly only blood tying us together…

Kevin looks up at Jason.

KEVIN

… sometimes I think you truly hate me. Through no fault of my own you have hated me and treated me like I asked to join this family. It was years and years of you trying your best to prove not only your superiority but your difference to step pop; the difference between me and you and why I didn't deserve anything. You ran your life opposite of mine just to show everyone that…

They both turn slightly at a noise coming from the next room. Kevin refocuses on Jason.

KEVIN

… I don't know. Some people would say that the myth of the evil twin is fact; one will always be invariably… wicked. You despised me because everyone knew it was you. So when you walk into your lovely home and find me sitting on the floor, here… holding this gun… even you believe that what I have done was expected of you. I have no details for you, not about my pain… not tonight. Tonight it's about your pain… your pain, and the dead woman lying in your bed. Yes, it felt cold… but that's all you'll get from me tonight.

Jason raises his weapon and fires one shot into Kevin's face, killing him.

Jason doesn't lower his weapon until Kevin's lifeless body slumps over to the ground.

JASON (V.O)

By the time this is all over, you will understand why I had to do a lot of things that are going to make me look bad… Jason takes a deep breath and moves a few inches closer to Kevin's body.

JASON (V.O)

…like killing my brother. He turns and runs into the back room.

JASON (V.O)

You're going to have to keep up with me because I don't have much time.

INT. BEDROOM

There is a dead young woman lying face down, dead on the mattress and the window is wide open, other than that the room is in perfect order.

Jason flips the mattress over, tossing the body onto the ground. Under the mattress is a flattened out medium sized duffle bag and an assortment of handguns, handcuffs, and magazines.

JASON (V.O)

Everything I do is for a reason that I can't get to yet because if I tell you now, you won't understand.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Jason sprints out of the room carrying his now full duffle bag.

JASON (V.O)

Until then… I apologize for everything that's happened and will happen.

INT. POOL HALL – NIGHT

SUPER: TEN HOURS AGO

Jason and two men, PATRICK and PAUL, push the doors of the bar open with great force and push their way through the people. Patrick is a lanky but muscular man with a shaved head and a goatee of red hair. Paul is a stout and muscular man with salt and pepper hair and a thick bushy mustache.

PATRICK

- so fucking bloody that I almost had to turn my back and spit vomit at the walls!

PAUL

Bullshit, I saw the place and the walls was all red and brown with the shit but not that bad.

Patrick shoves a man playing pool out of his way and then threatens to backhand the mans girlfriend when she attempts to protest.

PATRICK

And guts, guts all over the fucking walls!

PAUL

Bullshit.

JASON

Focus boys, spare me the details. I want the details from Yank.

Jason and the two men walk up to the bar, Jason slaps the drink from the hand of the BARTENDER as she is passing it to a patron.

BARTENDER

What the fuck man?

JASON

Yank.

BARTENDER

What?

Patrick pounds the bar with both of his fist repeatedly, prompting the nearest drinker to stand up and move away.

PATRICK

Yank! Yank! Fucking Yank!

JASON

Where the fuck is Yank? The fat bitch who owns this place…

BARTENDER

The Jewish guy?

JASON

Yeah, the fat fucking Jewish bitch guy.

She nods towards the back of the bar where there is a room marked "DO NOT DISTURB" next to the restrooms.

Jason turns and heads in that direction followed by Patrick and Paul. As they pass the last table before the back room a thin black man wearing a bomber jacket exits the bathroom, zipping up his pants. His name is BURGER.

BURGER

About fucking time you showed up Jason. what the fucks going on?

JASON

Jesus Christ… fill his ass in.

Jason kicks the door open and several men inside start to yell, Patrick follows Jason in and makes a sharp left with his foot out as if he's about to drive his boot through something. Paul slaps Burger on the back.

PAUL

Twenty minutes ago me and Patrick walk into Gregory's brothers place –

INT. GREGORY'S BROTHER'S PLACE – NIGHT

Paul and Patrick stand in the doorway of the apartment, the door is hanging halfway off of its hinges. All of the furniture is in disarray and there are dry puddles of blood, and wet puddles of blood in several places. A large knife is on the ground. Both men survey the room for some time.

PATRICK

Holy shit!

INT. POOL HALL – NIGHT

Burger pulls a .45 from his shoulder holster as he locks

eyes with Paul. Behind them in the office Jason and Patrick

are beating people up.

BURGER

Was Gregory dead?

PAUL

That's what we want to fucking know.

BURGER

From Yank?

Behind them in the office Jason punches a man across the face, breaking the man's jaw and sending a few teeth flying. Patrick is stomping on someone.

JASON

Yank!

INT. OFFICE – CONTINUOUS

Burger and Paul enter the office where three slightly overweight Jewish men lay unconscious on the ground, beaten bloody. Jason is facing a bookcase.

JASON

Yank!

He turns to Burger.

JASON

Give me your gun.

BURGER

Fuck you.

Burger turns and fires a shot high into the bookcase.

The bookcase moves and a thin but older Jewish man stumble out of a tiny room that is no bigger than a closet. He has his hands up, he is crying and his name is YANK.

YANK

Fuck! Stop shooting you crazy black –

Burger fires another shot, this one in Yanks thigh. Yank screams out in pain and goes down.

Jason kicks Yank in the back before standing over him.

Patrick and Paul dig through the file cabinets.

JASON

Where the fuck is you're nephew?!

YANK

My fucking leg!

JASON

I'm not asking again.

YANK

What did he do?

Patrick slams one of the cabinet drawers shut and stomps over to Yank.

PATRICK

You don't know what the fuck he did but you're hiding?!

PAUL

Bullshit!

YANK

I had nothing to do with anything!

JASON

Why the fuck are you hiding Yank?

YANK

I heard something bad happened to Gregory!  I figured you'd start looking here first, but I had nothing to do with anything!  I don't know anything!

Paul slams a drawer shut; he is holding a thick manila envelope.

PAUL

Got it.

JASON

Put it in a bag.

YANK

What the fuck is that?

JASON

Las Vegas.

YANK

You son of a bitch!

Jason kicks Yank in the mouth.

JASON

Where the fuck is your nephew?

YANK

Jersey!

INT. CAR – NIGHT

Jason sits shotgun holding a shotgun in the black quad cab 4X4 as they pass the WELCOME TO NEW JERSEY sign. Burger is driving the car and biting down on a Big Mac.

BURGER

What time do you have to be to work?

JASON

Four.

Burger whistles and shakes his head.

JASON

I'll make it.

BURGER

There's a sip in the back if you need the energy.

Jason reaches into the back seat and pulls out a bottle of gin; he opens it and takes two swigs.

BURGER

Country?

JASON

Whatever the fuck you want.

Burger takes a big bite of his sandwich and then he turns on the radio, country music booms from his powerful speakers as they speed down the highway.

After a while Jason turns to Burger while reaching into his pocket.

JASON

Turn that down.

BURGER

What?

Burger turns down the music as Jason pulls out his cell phone.

BURGER

What?

JASON

Nothing.

Jason answers it.

JASON

What?

INT. RESTAURANT KITCHEN

KELLY, a short and cute looking woman in her early twenties wearing a tight skirt, stands by the back exit of the kitchen with the door partly open. She holds her cell phone with one hand while her other arm is outside the door. The kitchen is bustling with orders coming in and going out.

KELLY

Who the fuck are you talking to like that?

PHONE/JASON

Kelly?

KELLY

Didn't you check your caller ID?

PHONE/JASON

I didn't think about it.

KELLY

That's dangerous.

PHONE/JASON

Do you have me on speaker phone?

KELLY

Hold on.

She lowers the phone slightly and looks across the kitchen.

KELLY

Don't spit in that!

MAN (O.S)

The guy's a dick!

PHONE/JASON

Hello?

Kelly returns the phone to her ear, she takes a pull of the cigarette that she was dangling outside and blows the smoke through the crack of the door.

KELLY

I need five thousand dollars.

PHONE/JASON

For what?

PHONE/BURGER

My dick, five thousand dollars!

KELLY

Shut the fuck up Burger, I wasn't talking to you. Take me off speaker… for drugs.

INT. CAR – NIGHT

Jason holds the phone close to his ear while Burger pays more attention to him than he does the road.

JASON

Explain.

BURGER

What's she saying?

JASON

By when?

He flips his phone closed and picks up his shotgun.

JASON

Get off here.

Burger complies while staring at Jason, who's loading shells into his shotgun.

BURGER

Fuck she want?

JASON

Her cousin wants a coke party for her bacherlorette.

BURGER

Strippers?

JASON

Yeah, cake and shit too. We're right here.

EXT. CAR – CONTINUOUS

Parked by the side of the overpass with the rest of his motorcycle riding friends is DAVID. He has four men and one woman with him and they are all looking down at the traffic passing below them.

Burger's 4x4 screeches to a halt and burger opens fire on the group, killing two of David's friends by unloading his clip into their chest and stomachs. Jason exits the vehicle carrying his shotgun, walking around the car as everyone but David runs. David stands with his chin held high.

Jason fires one round into each back of the running men; he pulls a 9mm from his back waistband and fires three shots into the back of the running girl.

He turns around and faces David as Burger lights up a cigarette, remaining in the vehicle.

DAVID

You don't run these streets motherfucker.

JASON

Is that so?

DAVID

I'm not scared of you.

Jason punches David in the stomach and then reaches into the young man's back pocket, stealing his wallet as David doubles over in pain.

Jason grabs David by the neck and tosses him over the overpass.

He opens the wallet and pulls out a card.

He turns to Burger and displays the card.

JASON

This is where they would be keeping it.

BURGER

You want me to call the dumb asses?

JASON

Give them five minutes.

INT. HIP HOP CLUB – NIGHT

A black man with expensive name brand clothes and big diamond jewelry exits the club followed by two of his tough looking friends and a very large breasted woman. They are making their way to some parked cars. The apparently wealthy black man's name is POKE. The woman's name is CANDACE.

Patrick and Paul hop out of an old Jeep Wrangler and sprint across the street.

PATRICK

Poke! Come here!

Poke strains to see across the dark street, when he notices who it is he turns and runs – leaving his entourage.

Paul gives chase to Poke while Patrick runs up and clotheslines the first of Poke's friends, flipping him off his feet.

When the second one of Pokes friend reaches for his weapon Patrick jabs the man in the face with such force that his head snaps back and he falls to the ground unconscious.

Patrick turns to the big breasted woman.

PATRICK

Follow me or I'll break your hip.

INT. STREET – CONTINUOUS

Poke runs as fast as he can down the street followed by Paul, who's gaining.

Poke darts down an alley and tries to jump the high fence.

Paul drives his shoulder into Poke's back, sending him first bouncing against the fence and then off onto the ground.

Paul lifts Poke up by his waist several feet off the ground and then he slams him on the concrete hard.

He does it again as the Jeep pulls to a stop in front of the alley.

Patrick exits the vehicle and pulls the woman out of the car by her hair, they enter the alley.

Poke stirs.

PAUL

Get the fuck up Poke.

POKE

Son of a Bitch.

Paul kicks Poke in his side and the man rolls over on his back.

POKE

You're fucking dead man!

Paul yanks the man's thick chain from his neck and starts to whip it across his face, cutting him with the jewelry as Poke tries to cover up.

POKE

Alright! Stop it!

PAUL

Get the fuck up.

Paul turns to Patrick and Candace.

PAUL

Where were you?

PATRICK

Getting her.

PAUL

Bullshit. Put him in the Jeep.

Patrick grabs Poke by his neck and pulls the man to his feet before dragging him over to the Jeep. Paul locks eyes with Candace.

PAUL

Am I gonna have to kill you?

CANDACE

I'm not talking to any cops if that's what you mean.

PAUL

Bullshit.

CANDACE

I got a brick of coke waiting for me thanks to this limp dicked bastard. I just want to get home to it.

PAUL

Get the fuck in the Jeep.

She turns and struts over to the Jeep, where Patrick is stuffing Poke into the back seat and repeatedly punching him.

She climbs into the passenger seat and Paul takes the wheel. Patrick climbs into the back seat with Poke and continues to beat on the man.

They speed off.

INT. MCDONALDS DRIVE THRU

Jason sits in the passenger seat on his cell phone while Burger pays for food.

JASON

- if that's where it is then one of you better get the shit… find it!

He slams the phone shut and turns to Burger as he is handed a big bag of food.

JASON

They got his happy ass.

BURGER

Wow.

Burger digs into the bag and pulls out some food as he speeds out of the driveway.

JASON

You don't give a fuck do you?

BURGER

Not particularly. Where?

JASON

The crack house.

He takes a big bite of food and makes a sharp left as Jason checks his watch.

BURGER

We visit all the best places.

Jason turns to Burger.

JASON

This is your life, not mine.

Burger lets out a little laugh and then he pulls his gun out, pointing it at Jason's face.

BURGER

Say that shit again motherfucker.

JASON

Pull it.

BURGER

Done.

Burger pulls the trigger just as Jason pushes the gun a few inches away, the bullet grazes his cheek and then shatters the passenger side window.

Jason grabs hold of the gun and forces Burger to aim up as he pulls the trigger two more times, the bullets flying through the roof.

Jason lifts his shotgun slightly off the ground and aims it at Burger with one hand, pulling the trigger. The blast tears through Burger's side and he releases his grip on his weapon.

Jason grabs hold of the steering wheel, dropping the handgun. The car speeds up and makes a sharp right.

EXT. 4X4 – CONTINUOUS

The 4X4 flips onto its side and crashes head first into a brick wall.

Smoke fumes from the engine and the wheels continue to spin for a few moments.

The door pops open and Jason climbs out of the 4X4, groaning in pain but still holding his shotgun. A sports car driving by comes to a screeching halt.

A young MAN with slicked back hair and trendy clothes steps out of the car carrying his cell phone. Jason hits the ground hard and struggles to get up.

MAN

Bro… that's fucked up man. Are you all right?

JASON

Fucking…

A pretty young WOMAN climbs out of the sports car and tries her best to keep her mini-skirt down as she walks over to her boyfriend.

WOMAN

Oh my God.

MAN

Do you need me to call an ambulance?

Jason forces himself up and fires a shotgun blast into the man's stomach. The woman screams and Jason punches her across the face with enough force to spin her around and knock her out.

He limps over to the sports car and leans against it for support as he twists his leg until he hears a pop.

He gets into the car.

INT. SPORTS CAR – CONTINUOUS

Jason restarts the car and places it in drive.

A bullet hits the side of the car and he turns in time to

see Burger sticking halfway out of the 4X4 and aiming his

.45 at him.

BURGER

U runnin, bitch?!

Jason speeds off as Burger fires at him over and over again, most of the bullets missing.

Jason stares at the clock, it say's 2 a.m.

JASON

Fuck!

EXT. SPORTS CAR – CONTINUOUS

The car goes from 60 to 120 mph in a few seconds and speeds down the road.

INT. BOTTOM FLOOR OF CRACK HOUSE

The door is kicked open and Jason walks in holding his shotgun. There are drug addicts laying on old couches and some just on the floor, passed out. Others are having quiet conversations in dark corners.

Jason steps over one of them and then kicks another sleeping on the ground, out of his way. The crack heads name is SMITH, and the kick wakes him up.

JASON

Move.

SMITH

What the hell man?

Jason reaches the set of steps.

SMITH (O.S)

Stevens…?

Jason stops in mid-step and turns back to look at Smith, who's sitting up now.

JASON

Smith…?

SMITH

What are you doing here?

Jason slowly moves back down the steps and walks over to Smith.

JASON

I'm picking something up.

SMITH

Las Vegas?

JASON

What?

Smith stands up and stares at Jason for a few moments.

Jason grips his shotgun.

Smith turns and walks out of the crack house.

Jason closes his eyes.

PAUL (O.S)

Jason!

Jason turns around; Paul stands at the top of the staircase.

PAUL

What's up?

JASON

Nothing, you got it?

PAUL

No, it's fucked up. You're going to have to do it.

JASON

Fuck you.

PAUL

Where's Burger?

Jason walks over to the stair case and starts to climb up.

JASON

He tried to shoot me in the face so I fucked him up.

PAUL

Bullshit.

Jason looks up at him and stops.

JASON

Did Patrick try?

PAUL

He's pussy about shit like this, you know that.

He continues up, as he passes Paul he hands him the shotgun.

JASON

Hold this.

INT. LARGE BEDROOM

Jason walks into the room; Poke is handcuffed to a bedpost naked and gagged with bruises all over, he is crying and Patrick has his back turned to him – smoking a cigarette and shaking his head.

JASON

What the fuck is the problem?

PATRICK

Fuck you and anyone else Jason. I'm not doing this shit.

JASON

This is half your fucking fault Patrick!

PATRICK

Suck my dick it's half my fault. Jason looks down at his watch and Poke weakly struggles with the bedpost.

Jason opens a dresser drawer and pulls out a set of gloves, which he sticks in his pockets.

He turns to Patrick.

JASON

Tie something up, tie it to him, and hang his ass out of the window. Make sure he's unconscious or gagged very well.

We got about ten minutes.

Poke starts to squirm.

INT. BOTTOM FLOOR OF CRACK HOUSE

Three men step through the doors of the crack house, they are all wearing suits. They are all of short but slightly muscular stature, two of them have grey hair and mustaches, the one in the grey suit is PHILLIPS, the one in the pinstripe is JONES and the only one without a mustache and wearing only a loosened tie is NABISCO.

They all run up the steps.

INT. LARGE BEDROOM

The three men enter the bedroom and spread out. Standing by the window smoking a cigarette is Patrick, Paul is sitting on the bed tapping his leg and Jason is standing in the center of the room.

NABISCO

Patrick, you smoking again?

PATRICK

I quit for a solid three weeks, get off my back.

PAUL

Bullshit. Fifteen days.

NABISCO

Paul.

PAUL

What's going on Nabisco?

Nabisco looks over at Phillips and then back to Jason.

NABISCO

So, I'm sitting there with a tall one in my hand… fresh out of the friggin' freezer, already on my third for the night. Right Jones?

JONES

Third one.

NABISCO

Us three, we're heavy into a game of Poker. I'm holding three of a kind but I feel lucky. All of a sudden, I get a call from Smith.

JASON

Phillips, talk to the man… none of this is necessary.

PHILLIPS

I tried the whole way here Jason.

NABISCO

Smith say's he just saw Jason Stevens down at our crack house at…

Nabisco looks at his watch.

He looks up at Jason.

NABISCO

Half hour ago makes 2:42. Say's you woke him up with a kick in the side.

JASON

I –

Jones rushes forward and straight punches Jason in the chest; Jason falls to one knee and tries to catch his breath.

Jones steps back.

NABISCO

That was from Smith.

PHILLIPS

Word is you got Vegas Jason.

JASON

Fucking Yank.

NABISCO

Give me my shit.

JASON

You could have waited two more hours.

Jones runs forward and kicks Jason in his nuts. Jason goes down as Paul stands up.

PAUL

Now you can relax a bit Jones.

Jones slowly walks over to Paul.

JONES

Fuck you, you drunk mick Irish bitch.

Jason holds his hand out, stopping Paul from almost punching Jones.

JASON

Go get the folder.

He lowers his hand and groans in pain as Paul exits the room followed by Jones and Nabisco.

NABISCO

You don't look good Jason, get some sleep.

PHILLIPS

Get the fuck up Jason.

Jason struggles to rise to his knees and eventually his feet as Phillips watches.

PHILLIPS

What the fuck where you doing with Las Vegas Jason?

JASON

I'm not allowed to touch it?

PHILLIPS

First you don't show up to play cards with us, and then you fuck up the Jew… and then you take our papers from Las Vegas?

JASON

I didn't trust him with it anymore, didn't you hear about Gregory?

PHILLIPS

I heard about Gregory.

He steps a little bit closer to Jason and lowers his voice.

PHILLIPS

Right about now, Nabisco is not too sure about you Jason. I'm going to talk to him, but you need to give me something to say.

JASON

When I found out about Gregory I panicked, figured I should run down to Yank's and get any and everything that tied back to us and stash it or destroy it. Same shit, earlier hour.

Phillips stares at Jason for a few moments.

He slowly backs away.

PHILLIPS

Alright Files. Alright.

He exits the room.

Jason turns to Patrick.

JASON

Paul's meat. Get his black us up out that window, now!

Patrick opens the window and slowly pulls up some tied up bed sheets until he gets to the end where Poke is retrained and unconscious.

Jason readies the gloves.

Patrick throws Poke onto the ground and turns him over before looking up at Jason.

PATRICK

Never in my life will I want to tell the story about the time I stuck my fingers up some black guy's ass.

JASON

I won't be telling this story either.

EXT. CRACK HOUSE

Paul pulls the manila envelope from his Jeep as Jones waits.

PAUL

- a matter of respect. That's all it is…

Paul hands Jones the envelope and waits.

PAUL

… you and Jason have your business, that's fine. But me and the kid go way –

Jones pulls out his gun and fires a shot into Paul's face, the man falls to the ground dead. A few feet away from the violence is Nabisco, standing by his car and smoking a cigarette.

Jones turns to Nabisco.

JONES

I hated that motherfucker.

NABISCO

Sure it's in there?

Jones checks the manila envelope; he pulls out several papers and forms of identification.

JONES

Yeah, this is the shit.

NABISCO

Let's roll; I don't want to be late.

Jones walks over to the car as Phillips exits the crack house and Nabisco climbs into the driver's seat.

NABISCO

Hurry the hell up Phillips.

Phillips walks over to the car and gets in, pausing only a second to look at Paul's lifeless body.

PHILLIPS

I need you guys to drop me off somewhere.

The car pulls off.

INT. CRACK HOUSE – NIGHT

Jason checks his watch after he stuffs a shit stained sandwich bag into a pillowcase, inside the sandwich bag is a cassette for a handheld recorder. Patrick is holding Poke up by his underarms but the man is still knocked out.

PATRICK

What the fuck do you want me to do with him?

JASON

Throw his ass in a river or something, I have to go.

PATRICK

What's the rush?

JASON

I have to pick up some drugs for Kelly.

Patrick lets Poke fall to the ground.

PATRICK

From this place?

JASON

No, this place is kept dry most often, nothing heavy. I'm going to have to go cross town.

PATRICK

I know where you can get drugs.

Jason stares at Patrick.

INT. PROJECTS - NIGHT

Jason and Patrick exit the Jeep; Jason is carrying his shotgun and holding his bruised ribs.

PATRICK

So we figured that if the bitch can give us both a blowjob, we could at least be gentlemen enough to let her go.

JASON

Nice.

Jason checks his watch as they walk towards the group of young Spanish men sitting outside the building.

JASON

Fuck.

PATRICK

What time is it?

JASON

Almost four, we need to move.

He pulls out his cell phone and dials a number before placing it to his ear.

JASON

Yeah, I'm going to be a little late… thanks.

He hangs up his cell phone just as they reach the Spanish men.

They notice Jason's shotgun and make a path for him and Patrick.

PATRICK

Tenth floor she said, eight c.

Jason runs forward and kicks open the buzz in door, breaking the cheap lock.

INT. FIRST FLOOR – CONTINUOUS

Jason runs down the hall followed by Patrick, he is running as fast as possible and Patrick is struggling to keep up.

Jason turns right and runs past the elevators to the back stairwell.

INT. BACK STAIRWELL

Jason takes the steps two at a time as he runs up the flights of stairs. He runs at top speed, leaving Patrick behind – all the way up to the tenth floor.

INT. TENTH FLOOR

Jason pushes the stairwell door open and walks down the corridor until he reaches apartment eight c, and then he knocks on the door.

He waits for a few moments, breathing heavily and glaring at the door.

Patrick exits the stairwell and leans against the nearest wall, trying to catch his breath.

PATRICK

Son of a bitch.

VOICE (O.S)

Jason stares at the door and slowly places his free hand on the door knob.

JASON

It's Jason.

VOICE (O.S)

Jason?

JASON

The guy with the smoke.

Patrick coughs up some phlegm and spits it onto the hallway ground as the person behind the door opens the locks.

Jason turns to Patrick and nods at him.

The door opens and inside stands a Spanish man who appears to be a woman, wearing lipstick and a dress. He is frozen in shock when he looks down at the shotgun aimed at him.

JASON

Get the fuck back.

The man shakes his head no and takes a step back, behind him a LARGE MAN comes from around the corner wearing his boxers and carrying a large gun.

LARGE MAN

What the fuck. Tito! Germaine!

Mike!

The large man takes aim at Jason, Jason grabs the transvestite by the back of his neck and pulls him forward, Jason then grabs the doorknob and pulls the door closed on the man's neck as a bullet comes flying through the door

just over his head.

The transvestite struggles to scream with his neck stuck as Jason jabs him in the mouth.

As Patrick runs up Jason aims the shotgun at the door and fires over and over again as screams come from inside the apartment.

He steps back and allows Patrick to rear back and kick the door open with all his might, sending it flying backwards.

Inside the apartment a fat man is lying dead in the hall with a shotgun blast in his chest.

The transvestite falls to the ground, spitting up blood as Jason and Patrick take cover on either side of the wall.

The large man sticks his head out from his cover and empties his clip at them, hitting nothing. Jason tosses the empty shotgun onto the ground and pulls out his handgun.

Jason steps out and fires two shots just as the large man takes cover again.

Jason takes cover and another man, TITO, steps out and fires five shots from his revolver.

TITO

You come over here to fuck with Tito motherfucker? You want to fuck with me?!

JASON

Fuck you!

TITO

Fuck you bitch!

PATRICK

That's your jaw motherfucker.

Jason steps out and fires two more shots just as Tito jumps to the ground, the shots go over him and the large man steps out again. The transvestite cowers on the ground as bullets fly over his head.

TITO

You aint leaving her breathing motherfucker!

The large man empties his entire clip at the doorway and then takes cover again as Tito stands up and takes cover as well.

Jason looks over at Patrick.

JASON

Patrick, I really don't have time for this…

Patrick stares at Jason for a few seconds before nodding.

Jason nods back and then leans out slightly; he fires single shots at a steady pace over the shoulder of Patrick as Patrick runs into the apartment.

Jason returns to his cover to reload as the large man steps out, right into Patrick's hands.

Patrick pulls the man from his hiding spot and snaps his neck before dropping him to the ground.

Tito steps out and takes aim in time to get four bullets in his center mass from Jason's gun. The transvestite screams again, still cowering on the ground.

INT. APARTMENT

Jason rushes into the apartment and grabs the transvestite by his hair; he drags him down the corridor with Patrick taking the lead.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Jason and Patrick enter the living room and Jason releases the transvestite just as Germaine and Mike rush them carrying bats.

Jason fires two shots into Germaine's face and the man goes down, Mike is quick enough to swing his bat and hit Jason's gun out of his hand.

Mike turns and hits Patrick on the arm as Patrick tries to block the blow.

Jason rushes Mike from behind and runs him into the entertainment stand, smashing all the equipment and the television.

As all the electronics fall to the ground Jason pulls Mike from the mess and tosses him into the far wall, Mike hits it head first.

As Mike's head bounces off of the now cracked wall Patrick grabs the back of the man's neck and slams it into the wall three more times, until there is a blood stain and Mike is limp.

Patrick releases the man and turns to Jason.

I'll wait here.

Jason stares at Patrick as the man wipes his eyes, where tears are forming.

Jason darts off towards the bedrooms.

INT. BEDROOM

Jason kicks open the door and Candace screams.

Jason stares at her, she is sitting on the edge of the bed wearing nothing but a man's boxers and there is a pile of coke on the table in front of her. The bed is littered with condoms and dildos.

JASON

Do yourself a favor and tell me that's not what's left of the coke.

She stares at him for a few moments before she starts to laugh.

Jason walks up to her and grabs her by her arm, she stares up at him.

JASON

Listen to me. I don't give a fuck how roasted you are right now, you're going to understand what I'm saying.

He pulls her close to him so that their faces are almost touching.

JASON

Tell me where all the coke is or I'll pour bleach down your twat.

Her smile disappears.

INT. BATHROOM STALL – NIGHT

Kelly flushes the toilet and stands up, pulling up her underwear and rather short skirt.

She pushes open the bathroom stall and walks over to the sinks.

She washes her hands.

Kelly's cellular phone rings in her purse. She picks it up.

KELLY

I didn't know you ran on CP time.

INT. JEEP – CONTINUOUS

Jason holds his phone next to his ear as Patrick drives; Patrick wipes away a tear that's running down his face as they pull up in front of a small restaurant.

JASON

Fuck off, I'm pulling up now.

He slams his phone shut and turns to Patrick.

JASON

Stop fucking crying!

PATRICK

They killed Paul!

JASON

I told you he was already dead didn't I?

Patrick stares at him.

Jason pulls his gun out and checks the clip.

JASON

I'm going to go drop this shit off, what are you doing with her?

Patrick looks into the back seat, where Candace is sleeping, snoring and still wearing nothing but some guy's boxers.

Keep her a little bit, she aint half bad sober or fucked up.

JASON

Jason steps out of the car and slams the door shut; he is carrying a book bag.

He walks over to the restaurant entrance just as two heavyset MEN wearing suits are walking in after tossing away their cigarettes.

They look at Jason.

MAN 1

JASON

Fucking your mother sideways under the bridge. Get the fuck out of my way.

The first man walks over to Jason and spits in his face.

Jason throws all of his weight into shoving the man into and through the glass doors of the restaurant.

He turns and drives his fist into the second man's stomach, the man doubles over in pain and gags for a few moments before vomiting.

Jason stomps the man in the face, smashing his nose.

INT. RESTAURANT

Inside the restaurant all of the tables are empty save one; it is a very long table with enough room to seat ten. Seated at the helm of the table is CARTER, a barrel chest man wearing a very expensive suit with slicked back salt and pepper hair. He is in his late forties and he is enjoying a large steak with several side dishes laid out in front of him. Of the eight other men there are two very tall men at his sides, they are very large and muscular.

Their names are VICTOR and CHEVY; they are both enjoying lobster diners. Everyone at the table has an expensive meal, wearing an expensive suit and sipping expensive wine.

The man from outside is lying on the ground of the restaurant covered in glass from the door, he is unconscious. No one pays him any mind.

Jason walks in and fires two shots into the unconscious man's chest, after that he walks past the table, he looks over at the group of men for a brief moment before pushing the bathroom door open. Carter says something and all the men laugh.

INT. BATHROOM

Inside the bathroom Kelly is applying her makeup, staring at her reflection in the mirror. Jason stands in the doorway.

KELLY

That my shit?

JASON

I need to go.

KELLY

Come over here.

Jason looks back at the door and then walks over to Kelly as she works on her lipstick.

KELLY

You ever do coke?

JASON

Couple of times.

She looks over at him and smiles.

INT. RESTAURANT

Carter swirls around some pasta and scoops it into his mouth while everyone except the two large men around the table laugh and talk loudly.

Jason approaches the table, he is walking with Kelly.

KELLY

I hope no one touched my food.

She walks over to the end opposite Carter and has a seat; Jason stands a few feet away from the table.

CARTER

Took you long enough.

KELLY

I was busy having an orgasm.

She smiles at Carter.

CARTER

He locks eyes with Jason.

CARTER

Kelly reaches into her purse and pulls out Jason's badge, tossing it onto the table.

CARTER

He brings me and my whole family down and they spend the next four years each… at least… locked up like animals. Petty trumped up charges and yes Jason I know that you have seen us with your own eyes… do things that would make the devil blush.

KELLY

But what you see and what you can prove weighs heavy on how much time a pretty girl like me should have to spend in prison.

JASON

Why don't you just kill me Carter?

CARTER

So now he stands here and he wonders why his life has been hell since I've come back from the supposed dead. So now he's running around town with hisenemies, because I am his father… and I say so. Punishment is not something I enjoy Jason, but it is necessary. It is mandatory.

CARTER

But I am not without a heart, as a father I have to feel something. So… Kelly, has Jason been a good boy so far?

KELLY

CARTER

JASON

KELLY

Overall… I think the dog deserved to be thrown a bone.

CARTER

Other than that, you can find Cheryl downstairs.

Jason stands there, clenching and unclenching his jaw and fists, staring at Carter for a few moments before he turns and walks towards the back of the restaurant.

INT. FOOD STORAGE AREA

Jason walks down the steps of the food storage area, he turns a corner and then he is standing amidst several bags of non-perishables. In the center of the room, hanging by the rope she is hogtied to is CHERYL. A six year old little girl with long hair except for the large bald spot on the center of her head, she is unconscious and has bruises on her face.

Jason walks over to her and unhooks her from the roof beam; he gently sets her on the ground and then unties her. She wakes up.

CHERYL

I want my mommy.

Jason picks her up in his arms and takes her up the steps.

INT. RESTAURANT

As the conversation at the table turns into hearty laughter Jason makes his way up the steps carrying Cheryl, he walks past the table and Kelly waves' goodbye to the little girl.

CARTER

Jason…

Jason stops.

CARTER

What do you say?

Jason doesn't move.

KELLY

Boston cried a little bit, when he lost his foot. I think he likes the other one.

Jason stares at the ground.

CARTER

What do you say?

JASON

Thank you.

Carter returns to eating his meal and the conversation at the table continues for a little bit as Jason exits. It turns into hearty laughter by the time he's gone.

EXT. OLD TOWN HOUSE – MORNING/4 A.M

Jason exits the vehicle and walks to the back seat, where Cheryl is sleeping. He stares at her for a few seconds before pulling the gun tucked at the small of his back out and turning towards the house.

INT. OLD TOWN HOUSE

Jason stands in front of his brother.

They both turn slightly at a noise coming from the next room. Kevin refocuses on Jason.

KEVIN

… I don't know. Some people would say that the myth of the evil twin is fact; one will always be invariably… wicked. You despised me because everyone knew it was you. So when you walk into your lovely home and find me sitting on the floor, here… holding this gun… even you believe that what I have done was expected of you. I have no details for you, not about my pain… not tonight. Tonight it's about your pain… your pain, and the dead woman lying in your bed. Yes, it felt cold… but that's all you'll get from me tonight.

Jason raises his weapon and fires one shot into Kevin's face, killing him.

Jason doesn't lower his weapon until Kevin's lifeless body slumps over to the ground.

JASON (V.O)

By the time this is all over, you will understand why I had to do a lot of things that are going to make me look bad…

Jason takes a deep breath and moves a few inches closer to Kevin's body.

JASON (V.O)

…like killing my brother.

He turns and runs into the back room.

JASON (V.O)

You're going to have to keep up with me because I don't have much time.

INT. BEDROOM

There is a dead young woman lying face down, dead on the mattress and the window is wide open, other than that the room is in perfect order.

Jason flips the mattress over, tossing the body onto the ground. Under the mattress is a flattened out medium sized duffle bag and an assortment of handguns, handcuffs, and magazines.

JASON (V.O)

Everything I do is for a reason that I can't get to yet because if I tell you now, you won't understand.

He looks at the body lying on the ground, it is Candace.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Jason sprints out of the room carrying his now full duffle

bag.

EXT. OLD TOWN HOUSE

Jason opens his duffle bag and pulls out his cell phone as he walks towards the car, dialing a number before putting it to his ear.

PHONE/GWEN

Hello?

JASON

Gwen, listen. Before all this is over, you'll understand why I had to do a lot of things that will make me look bad –

INT. GWEN'S APARTMENT

GWEN, a pretty young woman with a short haircut – paces around her apartment holding a small box close to her stomach. She has her cell phone to her ear.

GWEN

Shut the fuck up Jason! Do you have her!?

INT. CAR

Jason sits in the car with the phone on his lap, it is on speaker. He adjusts the rearview so that he can see Cheryl.

JASON

I got her. I just need you to listen.

GWEN/PHONE

Let me talk to her!

JASON

She's sleeping!

GWEN/PHONE

What did they do to her!

JASON

I don't know! You can take her to a hospital when I get there!

The call ends and Jason grips the steering wheel.

INT. GWEN'S APARTMENT

Gwen opens the door and snatches Cheryl from Jason's arms, turning away from him and running to have a seat with the girl.

JASON

I'm sorry.

GWEN

Cheryl!

Jason walks in and checks the hallway twice before closing the door and walking over to Gwen, he stands in the center of the living room as she cradles her sleeping daughter.

JASON

Jason looks down, on the ground is the box Gwen was holding, it is open and fallen from it is a long lock of Cheryl's hair. When he looks up Gwen is staring at him.

JASON

Carter broke Kevin out, sent him to the asylum –

GWEN

Stop calling it that.

JASON

Sent him to our old house to kill you, there was a girl there. I was right; he didn't remember what you looked like.

GWEN

When he's out of site Gwen's cell phone rings, she picks it up and stares at it.

INT. BATHROOM

Jason stands under the hot water with his eyes closed and resting against the wall, letting the water hit his bruises. The water in the tub is slightly red.

INT. DOCKS

It is raining heavily and Jason stands holding an AK-47, he is looking down at the water.

Behind him there is an explosion, one of the warehouses blow up as a large white van pulls up.

Jason shoots down into the water, emptying his whole clip before he turns to the van – reloading his gun.

Jones and Nabisco climb out of the Van; they are both wearing bullet proof vests and carrying guns.

NABISCO

He down there?

JASON

Yeah.

JONES

Fucks wrong with you? Look like you just saw a ghost.

JASON

That motherfucker always spooked me out. He said something to me before I made him meat, he hit a nerve.

NABISCO

Fuck that bitch.

JASON

Speaking of, where's Kelly?

Phillips walks from around the back of the van, he has Kelly draped over his shoulder. She is unconscious and handcuffed.

JASON

Alright.

NABISCO

I still say we drop her ass in there too.

JASON

She won't talk. Her boyfriends gone, she won't fuck with us.

He turns to looks down into the water again. Nabisco turns to Phillips.

We're going to let her breathe, throw her in the back.

As Phillips complies and the two other men walk back to the van, Jason empties his clip into the water again.

CUT TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM

Gwen sits on the couch holding her sleeping daughter when Jason enters the room buttoning a shirt over a bullet proof vest. He has two guns tucked into shoulder holsters. She has her cell phone in her hand and she is staring into space.

Jason stops in front of her and checks his weapons.

JASON

Everything I told you wasn't a complete lie. My name is Jason, but it's not Jason Stevens. It's Jason Files. I am an undercover cop, and when you met me I was undercover. The guys you met? Phillips, Jones and Nabisco? All cops; undercover, except we did things a little differently. We pretended to be dirty cops; they pretended to be my dirty cop crew…

Jason reholsters his guns.

JASON

… I started to act like I was on the take, working for Carter and his girlfriend Kelly. I got in, got their trust… and took them down. The only problem was, we weren't pretending. She looks down at her cell phone.

Jason moves through the main corridor of the police station, walking past other officers and checking in each room he passes.

He makes it to the end of the hall and pushes open the door with the sign that reads "BEASTS".

INT. BEAST ROOM

Jason enters the room. Inside are Nabisco, Jones and Phillips – they are all wearing bullet proof vests and loading up guns.

NABISCO

You're fucking late!

JASON

I had some shit to take care of.

JONES

No shit, rumor is that you tossed the kikes nephew off a bridge.

JASON

What happened to the Las Vegas papers?

Burned. We're almost done; we don't need that shit anymore.

Jason looks around the room, he locks eyes with Phillips.

Nabisco walks towards the exit.

NABISCO

Are you getting ready or should we give you some time to fag it up with Phillips?

PHILLIPS

Fuck you Nabisco.

Nabisco and Jones exit the room, Phillips soon turns to follow them.

JASON

I need to talk to you.

PHILLIPS

Later. We have to hit the showroom in ten minutes.

Jason places a hand on Phillips shoulder.

He turns and stops in the doorway after opening the door.

PHILLIPS

Phillips shakes his head and walks out of the room.

Jason punches the wall so hard that he leaves a hole and then he stomps out of the room.

INT. SHOWROOM

Patrick walks around a Lamborghini, running his fingers along the roof.

PATRICK

Fucking right, this son of a bitch here is what it's all about.

He turns to five other men in the room, they are standing in the center of several expensive cars and there is a table set up behind them. On the table there are several briefcases. One of the men is a heavyset redhead and his name is POOL.

PATRICK

My father came to this country and he made a promise, him and his four brothers… they made a vow to make it rich. To drive the expensive automobiles, to fuck the prettiest whores.

POOL

Fuck happened to Paul?

PATRICK

Paul was skimming from the top so he's meat now.

Patrick walks over to Pool and punches him in the face.

Pool holds his nose and looks up at Patrick.

POOL

All of the men turn around to see Nabisco and Jones walking into the showroom, they are both carrying automatic rifles.

PATRICK

You guys are late.

NABISCO

Blame that on Jason, that bitch likes to run with darkies – makes sense he start to act like them.

Jones starts to laugh.

JONES

Yeah, makes sense.

Nabisco nods towards the table.

NABISCO

That the shit?

PATRICK

Yeah.

Nabisco raises his gun.

NABISCO

Good.

He and Jones open fire on Patrick, tearing him down with gunfire. They shoot down two more men but Pool and two of the others take cover behind the cars and start shooting back without taking good aim.

Nabisco and Jones slowly walk over to another car as the bullets aimed at them miss, then they take cover and reload.

Nabisco looks over at Jones.

NABISCO

So, what the fuck do you think is up with Jason?

I don't know Nabisco; I never trusted that piece of shit or his friend either.

Jones ducks slightly as a bullet flies overhead, the car they are hiding behind is being hit with bullets.

JONES

They always seemed to be into their own thing. Hell, the last two majors have been their idea.

NABISCO

No, I trust Phillips. The whole Carter thing was Jason's jerk off session, he hated that guy.

JONES

Hold on a sec…

Jones leans out and fires half a clip at the cars the three men are hiding behind, and then he concentrates on only one car. After he empties the rest of his clip he takes cover again, a few seconds later one of the men slump to the ground, dead.

Pool and his remaining friend lean out and return fire.

Nabisco checks his watch, it's ..watch mode and the numbers finally tick down to zero.

On the other side of the room, a large and armored expedition crashes through the wall and flattens the last man against his car. Jason hops out and stands over Pool as the man tries to reload his gun with shaky hands.

POOL

Fuck you!

Jason pulls his gun out and fires a shot into the man's eye.

Jason tucks his gun into his waistband and walks over to the briefcases and opens them as Nabisco and Jones step out from behind their cover. Pool rolls around on the ground holding his eye and screaming.

Nabisco and Jones walk over to the cases, inside are several large jewels. Behind Jason Phillips is pouring gasoline onto the ground.

Jason looks up at Nabisco.

JASON

NABISCO

Did you drop Yank?

Jason turns and walks away as Nabisco closes the cases.

Jason adjusts the rearview mirror and lights a cigarette, he looks into the mirror at his own eyes.

EXT. OLD TOWN HOUSE/ASYLUM – NIGHT

Standing far away from the townhouse, next to a parked car is Kelly. She stares at the house for a few moments and then she turns to Chevy, who's carrying two large duffle bags. Duffle bags that are squirming.

You're sure she wasn't in there?

Kelly turns back to the house and picks up her cell phone, dialing a number.

She places the phone to her ear as Chevy tosses the two duffle bags into the back of a van and then runs around to the front to start it.

INT. BEDROOM

Jason lies in his bed wearing only his boxers, he rolls over with the phone next to his ear. On the bed lays a little black box.

EXT. OLD TOWN HOUSE/ASYLUM

Kelly watches as the van pulls away.

KELLY

If you look around long enough, you'll realize that the both of you're children are missing. Now that I have the power, I will play you like a fiddle… first things first… I want you to bring me proof of Las Vegas.

One of the men from the restaurant table walks over and opens her car door for her.

KELLY

She checks her watch before climbing in.

INT. GREGORY'S APARTMENT

Gregory lies asleep in his bed with two very pretty young women.

There is the sound of a door being kicked in. Gregory stirs.

Jason hops up on the bed and stomps down three times on Gregory's face before firing one shot into the chest of each woman.

Jason hops off the bed and points his gun at Gregory, who's shaking and bleeding from the mouth and nose.

JASON

Just in case you don't think this is very serious, I got all of the threats… and the acts thereafter… out of the way. I need to know where Yank would keep any documentation on our plans to have your crew hit the joint in Vegas. I'm not going to say I will kill you're two favorite bitches…

Jason grabs one of the dead women by the hair and lifts her head so that Gregory is very close to it, Gregory backs up a little bit and starts to cry.

JASON

I already killed your two favorite fucking bitches.

GREGORY

Yanks nephew's nuts, he'll kill me. Your crew may run half these streets but the other half is still out there man, and they belong to the kikes.

Jason backs up and takes aim at Gregory's legs before he fires six shots causing the man to scream, and then he grabs him by his arm and drags him out of the bed.

Jason drags Gregory out of the room and drops him in the center of the floor; there is a streak of blood behind the man.

Jason grabs a hold of Gregory's arm and snaps it in half at the elbow very slowly before he walks over to the couch and has a seat.

… I'll paint this apartment with your blood before I kill you. Or, you can tell me what I want to know… and then I'll kill you.

Gregory stops wailing long enough to look up at Jason.

Jason stands up.

EXT. GREGORY'S APARTMENT

Jason pulls the broken door open, he is using his shirt to wipe blood off of his face and he has his cell phone up to his ear.

Fuck! Gwen… it's me Jason. I hate to leave a message likethis but someone has taken the kids. Call me back when you get this.

He hangs up and dials another number before putting it to his ear.

INT. EXPEDITION

Jason exhales smoke through his nose before leaning his head halfway out of the window to look at Nabisco.

JASON

I had one of those feelings, you son's of bitches weren't answering you're phones so I had to jump on it. Shoot me.

Nabisco raises his gun and aims it at the expedition. He waits a few moments before slowly lowering his gun and smiling.

NABISCO

Naw… you just made me half a mill richer, I'll let you live.

Jason places the car in reverse and pulls out.

When he has the car out of the building he places it in drive and speeds down the road beating his head against the steering wheel.

JASON

He stops banging his head when his cell phone rings. He places it on speaker.

JASON

KELLY/PHONE

I tried some of that coke. Its primo, Poke was a good choice.

Jason's expedition pulls up to the warehouse.

He jumps out of the car.

As he runs over to the doors to unlock them by way of key pad three Lincoln navigators pull up.

He turns and pulls out his gun.

Several black men climb out of the navigators carrying submachine guns and pistols.

A last navigator pulls up and Jason watches the men as they stand around doing nothing. The back door to the last car opens and a large man climbs out, he then helps Burger out of the back of the car.

Jason starts off towards his expedition but Burger nods at his remaining men and they get in his way.

Jason grabs the closest man and turns him around to use for a shield as he backs up to his car, the other men open fire and riddle their friend with bullets.

Jason fires back at them, dropping two before he drops his human shield and climbs into his car. Some of the men come running out of the warehouse and open fire on him but the bullets bounce off as he pulls away at top speed.

Burger turns to his friends.

He watches the expedition disappear.

Jason is on his cell phone.

The nightclub is sparsely populated; Jason enters and looks around until he finds Jones standing in the corner of the dance floor near the VIP sections.

Jason moves through the people and they get out of his way as he makes his way over to the VIP section.

Inside the VIP section sits Nabisco and Phillips, Jones has a seat and Jason stares at them.

Nabisco looks at Jason while taking a long drink from his bottle of liquor.

There are three men standing around outside the projects, talking to a couple of Spanish women. One of the women is a little chubbier and her name is SKY.

Jason's expedition pulls up; he hops out and walks towards the entrance of the projects with his gun at his side.

The three men pay him no mind and continue talking to the women as he stops in front of them.

JASON

Excuse me.

One of them looks him up and down and then turns back to the woman he was speaking to.

JASON

Do any of you know Burger?

Sky turns around and smiles at him as the men give him strong stares.

Jason looks over at one of the men who are staring at him.

The man looks down at Jason's gun and takes a step back, diverting his eyes. The rest do the same.

SKY

Jason turns to her.

He steps back and closes his eyes, taking deep breaths.

Jason and Sky enter the almost empty lobby; there is an old black LADY with grocery bags waiting for the elevator.

SKY

You look completely stressed out.

As they reach the elevator he turns to Sky.

Jason looks at the old lady and she stares at his gun for a few moments before turning back to the elevator.

The old lady looks at him and smiles as he puts his gun away, and then he takes his bags from her as the elevator finally shows up. They all board.

INT. ELEVATOR

Sky presses the numbers and Jason stands next to the old lady.

You closed your eyes and said something to yourself.

The elevator doors open and she sticks her hands out before Jason can step off.

The doors close and she turns back to him.

The doors open and he looks down the hall at two black men opening the door to an apartment.

The doors close and Sky hears a gunshot go off, which causes her to jump.

INT. 18TH FLOOR HALLWAY

One of the men backs away with his hands in the air from his dead friend, his name is CHANCE.

CHANCE

INT. APARTMENT

Jason kicks the door open and fires one shot into the chest of a man about to approach the door carrying a pistol.

He looks around; on the table sit several guns and some cocaine.

JASON

Come out.

Three men come from behind a wall with their hands up.

JASON

Those your guns?

They nod.

JASON

You work for Burger?

They nod.

He fires one shot into each of their faces.

He walks over to their guns and takes the clips.

Jason exits the apartment and looks at Chance, who's smoking a cigarette.

JASON

There were only four.

CHANCE

I lied; I tried to scare you off.

Jason shoots Chance in his upper thigh and the young man goes down screaming.

Where the fuck is Burger?

CHANCE

On his way, I was supposed to start today man!

JASON

Fuck you and your bad luck. On his way for what?

CHANCE

He's supposed to be coming to shoot up some of Poke's people.

He's dropping off mad supply and taking over some spots.

Jason shoots Chance in the other leg and walks towards the stairs.

JASON

No he's not.

He stops and turns to look at Chance.

JASON

Does he have any relatives in this building?

CHANCE

Jason raises his gun.

His cousin Shawn runs his spot for him, he's in apartment 5H.

INT. STAIRCASE

Jason pushes the doors open and jogs all the way down to the fifth floor and then he exits.

INT. CORRIDOR

Jason walks over to apt 5H and kicks the door in.

INT. APT 5H

There is a pretty young woman sniffing coke off of a small glass table, she jumps up when Jason enters.

He kicks her in the stomach and fires a shot through the top of her head when doubles over and falls to her knees.

SHAWN comes out of the back room with a gun in his hand but Jason shoots him in the shoulder, causing him to drop it and double over.

Jason tucks his gun and tosses the glass table into Shawn's face, shattering the table; he grabs Shawn by his neck and lifts him up – throwing his back into the wall so hard that the wall cracks.

He tosses Shawn onto the ground near the window and looks at him.

Shawn looks up at him and grips his bloody face.

SHAWN

Do you know who the fuck I am nigga?!

JASON

Shawn?

Shawn nods.

SHAWN

Burger's cousin Shawn motherfucker! You trying to get yourself murked? Fuck with me and mine...

Jason runs up and kicks him in the mouth before stopping to look out of the window to the courtyard below.

Down below there are several navigator's pulling up.

JASON

Alright.

Jason returns to kicking the man in the mouth over and over again, using the window base for leverage.

EXT. MARCY PROJECTS

The large man helps Burger out of the back of a Navigator just some gunshots can be heard up high. Everyone looks up.

Jason kicks out the window of apt 5h and then kicks off the guard. A few seconds later Shawn appears in the window and then he is tossed out.

Burger watches his cousin fall to his death and then he looks back up at the window, where Jason is standing.

BURGER

Motherfucker.

INT. APT 5H

Jason looks down at Burger.

JASON

Come and get me bitch.

He turns and exits the apartment.

INT. CORRIDOR

Jason's cell phone rings as he exits the apartment, he picks it up.

JASON

KELLY/PHONE

What the fuck are you doing Jason?

JASON

Getting you're diamonds.

Jason kicks opens someone else's apartment door and walks in, a woman screams and covers up.

He walks over to her window and opens it.

INT. FIRE ESCAPE

Jason climbs out on the fire escape that is located on the other side of the building, he runs down them all the way to the bottom and then he hops down.

EXT. MARCY PROJECTS

Jason looks both ways and then he walks around the building.

When he gets all the way around he heads over to his expedition, Burger is still standing outside, being held up by his big friend and staring at the apartment entrance.

Jason shoots the big man in the head, causing him to drop Burger as they both hit the ground.

Jason climbs into his expedition and looks out at Burger.

JASON

Nabisco's club. Tonight.

Jason pulls off.

INT. EXPEDITION

Jason dials a number on his cell phone and waits.

INT. EXPEDITION

Jason stops in the middle of the road amidst blaring horns from heavy traffic.

JASON

What the fuck are you doing there Phillips?

KELLY/PHONE

I called him Jason. I thought Cheryl needed a real man around for a bit, someone to protect her.

PHILLIPS/PHONE

I told Nabisco to suck my dick and send me my cut. We're in some deep shit Jason… me and you.

Jason drives off again.

JASON

About fucking time Phillips, I though you forgot about me.

INT. GWEN'S LIVING ROOM

Phillips walks over to where Cheryl is sitting and watching cartoons, she smiles up at him and he smiles at her.

PHILLIPS

I think I started to believe in the whole badge thing for a second Jason. I'm back now.

INT. EXPEDITION

Jason smiles.

JASON

We're going to need ammo.

EXT. CARTER'S MANSION

Carter's large mansion is by the water, it has men walking its grounds and some men with machine guns out on the water in boats.

INT. CARTER'S MUSIC ROOM

Kelly pushes the large doors open and walks into the room; it is filled with musical instruments and audio equipment.

She is soon followed by Victor, who is wheeling Carter in by way of wheelchair.

She walks over to some of the equipment as Victor positions Carter in front of a grand piano.

Kelly turns on some switches.

Kelly pours him some wine and brings it over to him; he takes it from her and takes a sip.

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

She caresses his jaw line.

He begins to play classical music.

INT. APARTMENT – LATE AFTERNOON

Several black men are loading up large guns.

Burger sits in the corner of the room with his crutch under his arm; his dead cousin is lying in his lap.

Burger watches the men intently.

EXT. NABISCO'S CLUB - EVENING

People are filing into the popular club; the line is going around the block.

A couple of police cars are parked outside the club across the street, uniformed officers pace around smoking cigarettes.

INT. NABISCO'S CLUB – TOP FLOOR

Nabisco looks down at the club goers down below through a giant window in place of a fourth wall.

He turns to look at Jones, who's sitting down near the safes with his phone to his ear. Jones looks up at him and shakes his head.

Nabisco turns back to the people down below and mouths the words, "Where the fuck is Poke?"

EXT. STORAGE AREA – NIGHT

Jason's expedition is parked outside the storage area; he is walking over as Phillips pulls open the doors.

When he gets to the entrance he looks inside, it is loaded with guns and ammunition.

He looks at Phillips and they lock eyes.

INT. CARTER'S MUSIC ROOM

Carter stops playing the piano and looks up at Kelly.

CARTER

Do you think I was too rough on him?

KELLY

No… he did a bad thing.

CARTER

I did enjoy walking…

Carter looks down at his piano keys.

CARTER

What would you like to hear?

She smiles at him and lays her head on his shoulder.

KELLY

Something… Original. From you're heart daddy…

Carter stretches his fingers as she smiles at him and then he begins to play an original piece.

INT. BURGER'S NAVIGATOR

Burger sits shotgun in his navigator; behind him all the seats are taken by men carrying large guns.

Burger stares out at traffic.

BURGER

There was this one time, when me and my cousin was coming up in foster care… that some rough niggas tried to run up on me for my new Nike's.

The driver turns to Burger.

BURGER

Me and my cousin got our asses whipped up and down that house man… and we kept getting our asses beat because they never got those sneakers. Don't look at me while I'm getting emotional motherfucker.

He turns to the driver and the driver looks away.

Burger looks out of his side window.

One day I looked at my cousin after spitting out some teeth and I said to him, yo… lets let these motherfuckers just have these shoes man. They already scuffed up from all the brawling. He looked at me and said, nah man… they can kill us but they can't kill our fight.

He nods to himself.

BURGER

Because we fought until we died. After a while those niggas left us alone, and we had our scuffed up fucking shoes. Foster care, and oppression and all this shit… they don't know it makes a nigga go crazy man. It makes a nigga go crazy…

He looks at the driver.

BURGER

And some white motherfucker wants to come up in my fucking building shooting shit up because he think he got fucking problems? He doesn't know man… crazy niggas… they do what they got to do.

EXT. NABISCO'S CLUB – NIGHT

The line outside the club has shortened a bit and several cars are being valet parked outside.

One of the uniformed officers picks up his radio just as Jason's Expedition pulls up. The officers' name is PETRILLO.

PETRILLO

He's here.

JONES/RADIO

Nabisco say's let him up.

Petrillo nods to his men as Jason and Phillips exit the car. They are both carrying duffle bags.

Jason looks over at the uniformed officers and they stare back, he breaks the stare and looks up and down the street.

Jason turns to Phillips.

JASON

That bitch didn't show up.

PHILLIPS

What?

Jason shakes his head.

INT. NABISCO'S CLUB – TOP FLOOR

Nabisco looks down at the entrance as Jason and Phillips enter, behind him sits Jones and a metro-sexual looking man name AXE.

AXE

I don't like you doing business like this in my club Nabisco.

NABISCO

The last time I checked I give you all the funding you need to run this club Axe, I leak in all the fucking E pills…

He turns to Axe.

NABISCO

… and I let your faggot ass breathe on a daily basis. This won't be a ruckus, Jason isn't stupid.

He turns to Jones.

NABISCO

Let's go.

Axe watches both men go leave the room.

He lights up a joint.

INT. CLUB – BOTTOM FLOOR

Jason and Phillips are halfway across the floor, weaving their way through the miasma of dancing people. At the other end of the room Nabisco and Jones are just getting off a glass elevator that moves up and down the two floors of the club.

PHILLIPS

We talking?

Jason stares at Nabisco when he finally makes eye contact but he keeps walking.

Phillips looks over at Jason as he tries to keep up.

PHILLIPS

Are we talking to them first?

Jason turns to Phillips.

JASON

Yeah, but I doubt Nabisco's ever been the type of bitch to be talked out of his panties.

As he and Phillips stop a couple of feet from Nabisco and Jones, Jason locks eyes with Nabisco.

JASON

He's the type of bitch who likes to get slapped around a bit first.

NABISCO

I'm assuming that you assholes came to your senses.

JASON

I need you to seriously reconsider being a team player on this one Nabisco…

Jones tries to get on his tip toes to see over the people as a small commotion can be heard at the entrance of the club.

JASON

… I don't mind beating the shit out of Jones and leaving his ass in a dumpster; but I kind of always had a little bit of respect for you.

Jones turns back to Jason.

JONES

Fuck you Jason.

Nabisco smiles at the ground and shakes his head as Jason locks eyes with Jones. Phillips takes a step back and grips his duffle bag.

NABISCO

The two of you… Jason…

JASON

What'd you say to me motherfucker?

He looks up at Jason.

NABISCO

I suggest you take your personal problems and deal with them on your own. I've never liked you, and I certainly wouldn't start now that I have half a mill worth –

JONES

I said fuck you Jason.

Jason pulls out a large knife and slices Jones across the face as Nabisco backs up and pulls out his guns.

Phillips unzips his duffle bag and pulls out an automatic rifle as Jason tucks his knife and pulls out two desert eagles. Loud arguments and screams can be heard coming from the other end of the club.

Jones holds the deep gash in his face and stares at the entrance.

What the fuck?

At the entrance of the club there stands a group of black men carrying sub-machine guns, some of them are holding the bouncers up against the wall and placing guns in their face. The partygoers at the front of the club that notice the guns are trying to move away but the crowd is very dense. One of the black MEN pulls out his boost mobile.

MAN

Yo.

EXT. NABISCO'S CLUB

Burger sits in his car outside the club with the window rolled down, screaming can be heard as the line outside has dispersed and people are running away. Several black men stand outside the club with submachine guns and the uniformed officers are laying on the ground dead, their chests riddled with bloody bullet holes. Burger picks up his boost mobile.

BURGER

What nigga?

BOOST/MAN

You said to get the white niggas?

BURGER

Yeah motherfucker.

BOOST/MAN

This bitch is packed with white motherfuckers.

Burger looks over at his driver and grits his teeth.

He lights a blunt.

He picks his phone back up.

BURGER

Then I guess you dont gotta worry about aiming...

INT. CLUB ENTRANCE

The black men holding the bouncers all shoot the bouncers in the chest and let them drop to the ground before turning around.

EXT. ELEVATOR

Jason, Phillips, Nabisco, and Jones all stare at entrance of the club as gunfire goes off.

INT. TOP FLOOR

Axe stares down at the entrance with his joint hanging from the corner of his mouth.

INT. CLUB ENTRANCE

All the black men raise their submachine guns and open fire on the dense crowd.

INT. TOP FLOOR

The joint falls from Axes mouth as he stands shocked, watching the people below get cut down by gunfire.

INT. ELEVATOR

Nabisco and Jones jump into a VIP booth for cover.

Phillips jumps over the bar and takes cover.

Jason stares at the crowd as people panic, he strafes right in the direction of the bar and fires a few shots at the black men whenever he gets a break in the crowd – sometimes when the break is not very good as his shots hit a few people too.

He walks over to the end of the bar and takes cover as Nabisco and Jones open fire. The bullets hit the side of the bar.

Phillips pops up slightly and returns fire on Nabisco and Jones as they take cover before turning and firing in the direction of the entrance.

Those not smart enough to take cover are cut down as the black men return fire and run for cover from Phillips automatic weapon. Jones also fires on the black men asNabisco focuses on the bar.

Phillips ducks down as Nabisco's bullets fly overhead, the bullets from the submachine guns hit the bottom of the bar.

Jason pops out and returns fire on Nabisco before turning and shooting over the heads of all the ducking and screaming people. A couple of the black men are cut down but the others have cover. One of them pops out and returns fire on Jones.

Jones gets shot in his arm from the submachine gun and he exposes himself as he screams. Phillips pops up, filling the man's chest with half his clip before Nabisco returns fire.

Phillips ducks down and reloads as bullets hit the bar all around him, smashing bottles and sending glass and liquor flying onto him.

PHILLIPS

Shit Jason! Move!

Jason stands up and opens fire on Nabisco but then jumps for cover near another VIP booth as the black men empty their clips in his direction.

Nabisco pops out and guns down three more of the black men, leaving five more.

He turns and looks at Jason, who's running out of the booth carrying a heavy table that he ripped from the ground.

The black men open fire on Jason but only hit the strong table, not tearing through.

Jason tosses the table in the direction of the black men's gunfire – as it's still in the air he drops to the ground and takes aim underneath. Firing several shots and dropping four of the five men by shooting up their legs.

He rolls into another booth as Nabisco pops out and fires at him. The remaining black man pops out and opens fire on Nabisco and then turns his bullets on the booth after Nabisco takes cover. Jason is already inside.

Phillips pops up and fires six shots into the black man's face and chest before turning to take aim at Nabisco's booth. Whimpering and crying can be heard coming from the survivors lying on the ground as the gunfire subsides for a few seconds.

Laughter can be heard coming from inside Nabisco's booth.

INT. NABISCO'S BOOTH

Nabisco sits on the ground of the booth reloading his guns and shaking his head.

NABISCO

You are one crazy motherfucker Jason, I'll give you that. I should have know something was up when the two of you turned so easy…

He smiles.

NABISCO

… hell man. I'm as crooked as a pig's tale… get it?

INT. ENTRANCE

Burger stumbles in with his driver behind him and fires one shot at Phillips, missing but diverting the man's attention.

Nabisco seizes the opportunity and pops out to fire a shot into Phillips chest, the man drops his weapon and goes down.

Nabisco walks backwards and climbs onto the elevator while firing at Jason's booth and then shooting Burgers Driver. Burger watches his driver die with disinterest.

NABISCO

I'm cutting losses and skipping town Jason, I think you should do the same.

As the elevator rises Burger opens first the doors, causing Nabisco to duck and return fire – and then Burger concentrates his fire on the roof.

The top of the elevator shatters causing it and Nabisco to drop to the ground, the elevator shatters around Nabisco and he lands hard.

Burger opens fire on Nabisco as the man writhes on the ground.

When Nabisco stops moving Burger drops his gun and pulls out another, looking around the club.

BURGER

Where the fuck is Jason?!

JASON (O.S)

You're late!

Burger looks towards the booth as he fires a couple of shots at it.

BURGER

What nigga?

INT. JASON'S BOOTH

Jason sits on the ground of the booth with his guns in hand.

JASON

I said you're late you dumb motherfucker. You're always fucking shit up! First you want coke but you can't control your fucking trigger finger and temper!

Two more shots hit the other side of the booth and Jason shakes his head.

BURGER (O.S)

JASON

You tried to shoot me in the fucking face and now you're pissed! Fuck you!

INT. CLUB ENTRANCE

Burger fires three more shots at the booth.

JASON (CONT'D)

You were supposed to be here earlier when there would be less people and shoot the place up looking for me… and then leave without the fucking rocks!

BURGER

I'm sorry motherfucker… did we have some type of plan?

He fires four shots at the booth.

INT. JASON'S BOOTH

Jason looks over at one of the people cowering on the ground, it is a crying woman.

JASON

You best bet is to make a run for it… I'm sure the cops are outside.

She stares at him with tears running down her face as he pulls a small round device from his pocket and presses down on a button.

JASON

I don't repeat myself.

INT. CLUB ENTRANCE

Burger raises his gun and shoots down the woman as she stands up; the small device flies out of the booth and towards the center of the floor. All the people scream and run for the exit as Burger tries to push through the crowd.

BURGER

Not this time motherfucker.

EXT. NABISCO'S CLUB

The police cars and SWAT vans pull up as several people come running out of the club.

Just as some of the officers exit their vehicles, their vehicles are blown over by an explosion large enough to blow out the bottom floors entire front wall.

INT. BOTTOM FLOOR

Jason lands hard on the ground near the bar as half of

Burger's body hits the far wall.

Jason doesn't move for a few moments before shaking his head.

Jason struggles to relocate his shoulder until it finally pops back into place.

He limps towards the steps, holding one of his desert eagles.

As he reaches the steps he looks back at the bar.

JASON

Phillips…

INT. BEHIND BAR

Phillips lies on the ground with his vest on the floor, he has a red mark on his chest and his eyes are closed.

PHILLIPS

I'm good man… I'm good.

INT. BOTTOM FLOOR

Jason nods and rushes up the steps, groaning from the pain and moving his legs and arms.

Phillips rises from behind the bar and uses it to hold himself up. He turns when the fire exits pop open and a large man walks in, it is Victor.

INT. TOP FLOOR

Jason enters the extravagant room and Axe still stands near the large glass wall – frozen in fear.

Jason walks over to the safes and enters a combination;

opening it he finds the briefcases.

Jason walks over to the man and kicks him in the back with enough force to send him flying through the glass wall, shattering it.

Jason walks over to the edge carrying the briefcases, he looks down at Victor.

JASON

I have the fucking rocks. Where's Boston?

PHILLIPS (O.S)

Probably dead… most likely…

Jason turns around to see Phillips walking up the steps carrying his automatic rifle.

Phillips stops all the way across the room.

PHILLIPS

His foot… ankle… it looked really bad. He was coughing… He shakes his head.

PHILLIPS

Kelly and Carter are without compassion Jason. I told you that shit when you suggested the whole damn… fucking… why would you fuck with people like that Jason?

Jason stares at Phillips.

PHILLIPS

You were always the fearless one, that's why. You don't give a fuck about anyone or anything if it's standing in your way… are they in there?

JASON

Don't do this Phillips.

Phillips raises his gun and fires one shot into Jason's leg, Jason goes down but holds onto the briefcases.

PHILLIPS

Don't do what motherfucker?! He knew I was your right hand man Jason, he knew all that shit and you let him walk right into our homes… with our families… our kids… my son…

Jason looks up at Phillips.

PHILLIPS

Didn't bother to ask me how my kid was doing did you Jason? You never did get sidetracked by the little things, like everyone else's well being.

Jason lunges forward and Phillips only gets one shot off – into the bullet proof briefcase the Jason uses to knock his weapon out of his hands.

Jason drops the cases and tries to get underneath Phillips to take the man down; Phillips centers himself and drives an elbow down onto Jason's back.

Phillips grabs a hold of Jason in a front face lock and knees the man several times in the ribs.

Jason picks Phillips up the ground and turns him, rushing him towards the shattered wall.

INT. BOTTOM FLOOR

Victor watches as both men hit the bar back first after falling from the top floor.

Jason gets the upper hand and proceeds to punch Phillips in his face; Phillips tries to move away from the blows as he connects a few times himself.

Phillips grabs a hold of the back of Jason's head and pulls him forward, he head butts the man three times before Jason nose shoots blood and he rolls off of Phillips and onto the ground outside the bar.

Phillips rolls down to the ground behind the bar and spits out some teeth.

Victor walks up and kicks Jason in the side.

Jason moves to retaliate but the very large man points a sawed off shotgun at him as he makes his way towards the steps.

Jason watches Victor as the man walks up the staircase and disappears.

Jason stares down at the ground.

PHILLIPS (O.S)

It was my son's ear… that I found. When I woke up, all I could do was to keep on keeping on. I went to go play poker… and won.

Jason shakes his head as he listens to Phillips pain filled laugh.

PHILLIPS (O.S)

Four hundred fucking dollars.

JASON

You should have told me. You know I always have your back.

PHILLIPS (O.S)

Yeah…

INT. BAR

Phillips sits with his back to the bar, holding his side.

PHILLIPS

I remember when… I remember the way you looked; when you first came to me with the crazy ass fucking idea.

He laughs a little.

PHILLIPS

You said, Thomas… we're criminals right? I of course… agreed, like always. You said, Thomas – with the shit we try to get away with… we're going to need some back up.

EXT. BAR

Jason watches Victor come down the steps with the briefcases.

PHILLIPS (O.S)

What's the toughest crew we can join… I said that I didn't know… the mob? You're crazy ass looked at me and said…

JASON

The police.

He locks eyes with Victor as the man adjusts his FBI badge before exiting the club.

Jason shakes his head and closes his eyes.

JASON

What makes you think they'll keep you're fucking bastard alive, but not Boston?

He stares at the bar.

JASON

What makes you think that motherfucker? I hope they dipped his little ass in gasoline and burned him alive.

PHILLIPS

You know… Jason…

INT. BAR

Phillips rests the back of his head against the bar.

PHILLIPS

… they had me busy too. I had to go get your brother out of the mental shit house… I had to keep tabs on you… and maybe you're right Jason. Maybe I'm stupid and they killed my kid before they even got to yours…

He looks up at the ceiling.

PHILLIPS

But at least I got something out of this whole living nightmare… they said I had to but I have always wanted to fuck Gwen, and while I had my dick in her asshole – even though I had her bound and gagged… man… brother…

He shakes his head.

PHILLIPS

… I think I heard her moaning… just a little bit.

He closes his eyes.

PHILLIPS

You're daughter on the other hand –

He turns when he hears Jason's laughter.

EXT. BAR

Jason kneels on the ground with his face buried in his hands, he is shaking and laughing.

Phillips rises from behind the bar.

Jason looks up at him.

JASON

Thomas…

PHILLIPS

Yeah Jason…

Tears roll down Phillips face as Jason rises to his feet.

JASON

… how would you like to go?

PHILLIPS

Come one bro… you've asked me that question since we were locked up in Mexico. I don't know.

Jason nods.

JASON

I always told you to consider that shit.

He grabs Phillips by the neck and pulls him over the bar.

When the man hits the ground Jason pulls out his long blade and stabs it down into the man's stomach, and then he begins to carve and very uneven cut as the man screams. He slices his friend open from the belly button to the chest and then lets the man fall to the ground, convulsing.

Jason turns to the fire exit and pushes the doors open as sirens can be heard blaring all around.

The door slowly closes behind him.

INT. CARTER'S MUSIC ROOM

Kelly finally opens her eyes as Carter ends his original piece, she smiles and lightly claps.

He stares down at his piano and sighs.

CARTER

It's always a sad day when you cannot bear to speak to you're children anymore…

He turns to her.

CARTER

… he'll be coming for us you know. He has too.

She takes a small sip of her wine and looks up at the large chandelier.

KELLY

Well… I guess we'll find out what type of man we raised. One way of the other…

FADE IN:

INT. BRONX APT - NIGHT

DAVID jumps up out of his bed at the sound of glass breaking, his wife's sleep is disturbed, and she sits up in panic. David is an average weight black man with a shaved head; his wife is a slightly heavyset and a pretty young woman by the name of LACY. They are both around 35.

LACY

What's wrong?!

DAVID

Shut up! didn't you hear that?

They are both quiet.

Lacy slowly turns to her husband.

LACY

I didn't hear ...

There is another crashing sound and David jumps out of bed, he drops to his knees and reaches under his bed.

DAVID

Call the cops!

Lacy turns over and reaches for the telephone that is usually on the nightstand beside the bed; it is not there anymore.

She turns back to her husband, who's almost halfway under the bed now.

LACY

David! Where's ...

David slides from underneath the bed holding a baseball bat; it has cartoon characters drawn all over it.

DAVID

Where the fuck is my gun?!

HOOPER kicks the bedroom door in and David rushes him with the baseball bat. Hooper is a large man wearing all black including a David mask. He is carrying a shotgun.

DAVID

Not in my home motherfucker!

LACY

David!

HOOPER

Put the shit down!

Hooper takes a hit on the shoulder just to get in close to David, once he is too close for David to get any leverage with the bat Hooper picks the man up and then slams him

down onto the ground.

Hooper turns around and backhands Lacy across the face; she spits blood and falls to the ground.

David rolls to his feet and tries to tackle Hooper but the larger man just steps back as David rushes forward therefore making the take down ineffective.

Hooper drives his elbow down into David's back, David grunts in pain and falls to the ground.

Lacy jumps onto Hooper's back and he drives her backwards until he slams her up against the far wall, smashing her painting of JESUS and the last supper.

She falls to the ground, and he turns around and kicks her in the stomach.

David rushes Hooper again but a bullet flies through his upper thigh; he screams and goes down.

Hooper turns around; another MAN is standing in the doorway to the bedroom holding a gun. He too is wearing a David mask but he is stocky and muscular.

A one year old little girl walks unsteadily past the man.

She is crying.

Lacy blinks away her unconsciousness and reaches out for her daughter.

LACY

Baby!

The man turns around and picks up the little girl, comforting her.

MAN

She's okay.

LACY

Put her down!

The man turns and walks away as Lacy attempts to get to her feet; Hooper places a foot on her back and forces back down to the ground.

MAN

It's alright baby; it's alright.

Hooper turns to David.

HOOPER

We should go into the living room.

INT. LIVING ROOM – MORNING

David sits on the floor of his living room with his shirt wrapped around his bloody leg; his wife sits next to him.

They both stare at the man sitting on the couch with their daughter in his lap, his gun on the cushion beside them.

The little girl is giggling.

MAN

So you think that's funny?

He reaches across the couch and snatches up the little girl, tickling her unmercifully.

MAN

How about this? Is this funny?

He turns and stares at the couple.

The happiness in his eyes turns into hatred and then he is calm.

MAN

What's her name?

DAVID

Nigga, just take what you want and get the fuck out of my house…

MAN

I don't want your shit David, I want to know the little girls name.

LACY

What do you want?!

MAN

I just told you; right now, I'm just curious about the little girl.

They all lock eyes as Hooper exits the kitchen carrying a six pack of beer and a tuna sandwich.

The man slowly raises his gun; locking eyes with the child.

LACY

Her name is Mercedes!

MAN

Are you a child that deserves to live?

MERCEDES

I don't know.

The man fires a shot into David's chest.

David stares down at his chest for a few seconds before falling over dead.

Lacy grabs her dead husband and screams.

LACY

No!

She rocks him back and forth and applies pressure to the wound in his chest as the man turns to Hooper.

Is that tuna?

HOOPER

Yeah, there's a fresh batch in a bowl. Bottom shelf, you want?

MAN

No, I'm good.

The man stands up and walks over to Lacy. He grabs her arm and drags her away from the dead man.

MAN

Come on.

LACY

Get the fuck off of me!

MAN

Leave the bastard alone!

She continues to struggle and the man tosses her to the ground before aiming his gun at her.

LACY

Please don't!

MAN

See that's your fucking problem, you won't leave the right people behind!

LACY

Just leave us alone!

MAN

Would you die for that piece of shit?

The man turns around and fires two more shots into David's chest as Lacy covers her ears and screams.

MAN

Fuck him!

He grabs her hands and forces them away from her ears.

Listen to me!

LACY

Don't hurt me!

The man turns his gun onto the little girl, who's staring at everything while sitting still.

LACY

The man stares at her as he slowly kneels by her side, he removes his mask. He is a handsome man fresh out of his teens.

MAN

LACY

Hooper removes his mask as well; she stares at him in

shock.

MAN

Tears roll down her cheek.

LACY

Hooper walks backwards until he is at the front door.

HOOPER

LACY

The man slowly places his hands around her throat; she looks into his eyes as he does so.

MAN

He applies more and more pressure, squeezing her throat.

The life begins to fade from her eyes.

The man hesitantly releases her neck and stands up.

He locks eyes with Hooper for a short time before Hooper turns and exits the house.

The man turns to the little girl.

He slides his mask back on and solemnly exits.
