Its been almost a year since our last post. You may have noticed a show has been posted on our myspace. This does not mean Kid Innocence is back together, it is simply an invitation for anyone and everyone who supported us, to see what some of us have been up to in the public arena of creative audible expression. On March 6th, 2009 Greg and I will be playing the first show we've played together since June 9th of 2007. Although we may not be performing in the same outfits, we will be sharing the stage for the first time in almost 2 years. The implications of that sentence are slightly dark than I'd hoped, but let me assure you its not as though we haven't spoken since our departure from one another, we're all still friends.

But I digress, my new project, "Via Coma" will be releasing our first record on March 3rd, 2009 and the show is to commemorate the past year or so that we have been working on it. The line up and address for the show is as follows:

At The Helm
Via Coma (Rob)
In Reverent Fear (Greg)
One Dying Secret

500 Saint Mary's Road
Lafayette CA 94549
Here is the Map of where it is located.

The doors are at approximately 6:30 PM and
The show starts around 7:00 PM

So come join us if you're curious about what we've been up to.
Tickets are available here and they're selling out very quickly.
We'd love to see some familiar faces, its been too long.

Love,
Rob

Dear Reader,

Today marks the Nine Month Anniversary of our last show as Kid Innocence.
Nobody knew that Nine months ago today would be the last time the four of us would share the stage. Blogging on myspace seems to be going the way of the dinosaurs, so I will try to keep this brief. We can not thank you enough for the support you've given us over the past three years of our lives. Be it coming to a show, listening to us on myspace, accepting a flier outside of a show, thank you for giving us the time of day to acknowledge what we do and what we love. This band started when we were in high school and it has seen more than we could possibly dream of, and it is all thanks to, reader. Yes, I understand this is breaking the fourth wall, but really, thank YOU, for taking the time out of your nine to five, your doldrums, your homework ridden life, to read this painfully long epilogue. I'm sort of at a loss for words writing this post seeing as its weird to think that a year ago I would have never seen this coming. Anyways, thank you everyone. Every band we had the privilege of sharing the stage with, every fan we made (or didn't make), every engineer we worked with, thank you for everything you contributed to this band. And last but not least, thank you, reader, for reading this post.

Sincerely,

Rob and now dismembered Kid Innocence

We love you. With all of our hearts. Thank you.

Now that I have your attention, let's start this over. As any and all of you who read our blogs, we are notoriously sluggish on posting. We have always said in the past that we would post weekly or daily blogs to keep all of you "in the know". That was a lie. We, as man is naturally, are lazy. So here I am, in the glow of the computer screen, writing a blog, that of which most of you will dismiss. But, if you are reading this, I applaud you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now to get you in the know I will inform you of our happenings:

We have been writing a new record, which is why we have not been performing lately. No, the record does not have a title yet, nor do we know how many songs will be on the record.

What I can tell you is that we have written roughly 10 or 11 songs (of which we are proud of)  so far. Tracklisting? Nope. For those of you who saw us from the months of August (tour) to the present, we have scrapped, reworked, or killed most of the material that we played for you fine folks. For all of you asking, why does it take you so god damn long to write songs, I offer you this answer: get out. No, I am just kidding, but in all seriousness, we want to put out a record that we are proud of. Its simple really.

But Rob, who is recording your new CD? Who is producing it? Can we expect any giraffes? These are all good questions. We, are recording our new record, with some outside help of course (ie: Nick Shively, Michael Romanowski). Producing? Who knows! Giraffes? FUCK YEAH! For all of you who love the internet, we will also be documenting the entire recording process in video form (Thank you Mike Martinez), and it will be posted on the internet! When? I don't know, but it will be.

When is it going to be released? Answer? Spring/Early Summer. Yes there were rumors of a March 17th release date (yes, we did say that) but thats not true (we lied).

So now that I have you filled in on our whattabouts, its time for our whereabouts! We will be going on tour at the end of march through early april! Dates will be posted very soon. I hope that all this mumbo jumbo filled you in and answered some questions. If you have any questions at all (ie what music are you guys listening to? do you have any recommendations? what why does greg stink?) message us or talk to us on our screen name (kidinnocenceband). From all of us to you, we miss you, and will see you soon.

Rob.
