Current mood:  overstimulated
Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

Hi Everyone,

So Gray Beast is on a bit of a hiatus while Boyd pursues academia. I'm working on new material that may or may not be released as Gray Beast. I'm sure I can pull Boyd away from his dusty books and beakers long enough to lay down a track or two. Like Grandpa always said, "Boyd is one sexy human", so it feels natural that he would rep the set on some tracks.

In other news, I'm rocking (otherwise known as "decoding") the keyboards for Say Hi, formerly Say Hi To Your Mom. You've heard them on the radio extolling the virtues of Northwestern Girls. Originally from Brooklyn, they "recently" (1.5 years ago) relocated to Seattle because they heard about some serious decoder shit going down. I jammed some tunes with them on a recent trip to California with The Long Winters, and at Seattle's Capitol Hill Block Party. We felt so sweet about each other that I'll be joining them on a 5 week tour this fall. We're pretty much hitting up everywhere in the U.S, so if you live anywhere in the greater 48 you really have no excuse to not come out. It's like Grandpa always said, "Coming out is sexy", but that may have been also directed at Boyd. Check out http://www.myspace.com/sayhitoyourmom for all the tour dates and wild tunage. Any Gray Beast paraphernalia brought to the shows will receive a very thorough inspection.

I love you all,

Lucas Spider

Music Emissions:
"On a foundation of electronica and moody, Modest Mouse-esque indie rock, Gray Beast build up atmosphere with breezy R&B grooves and jazzy texturing. The album seems to go by all too fast, and every song offers it's fair share of flair, moody bliss and darker themes. Mature, expressive and progressive without saying so, Gray Beast are a force to be reckoned with."
