Hi Everyone!

Thought we'd let you know what's going on with us if anyone is actually bothered? Well I'll carry on anyway. We just filmed our First video ever, for 'The Southern Lights' Directed by Carl Shanahan, and we absolutely love it! All we wanted to do was not to have a boring as fuck performance video in an abandoned warehouse and/or mansion with some weird girl walking around looking at dirty bathtubs etc.

You can check it out on http://www.vimeo.com/7150020

We've had some awesome reviews for 'This Is Art' such as:

KKK - Kerrang      4/5 - Punktastic      4/5 - Big cheese
7/10- Rocksound   4/5 - Rockmidgets  4/5 - Alternative Vision

We have been trying to get as many shows as we can now for the new year, and are in the process of writing our full length album. We don't want to be one of those bands that drones on for years playing the same old shit, so expect a few direction changes and progression that is indeed the key word.

Also just had a load of new Merchandise printed, two brand new t-shirt designs, one designed by Tom Lacey (Ghost of a thousand) which will be on our Big cartel and Lockjaw shops soon and at shows.

Please buy our EP it's cost us a lot of money to record and manufacture and people are stealing it off file sharing sites, so please buy the actual CD because it really does suck for us!

Our EP 'This Is Art' is available from: iTunes, Play.com, HMV, amazon, Lockjaw Records and Martian Records

Anyway really looking forward to next year and everything it holds, update again soon!

Yes I am aware this is on the page aswell but I thought posting it as a blog would help get the message out aswell!

HELLO. Just a quick update to what the current goings
on are! were currently in a transistion stage with this band and a new
page, new artwork, new music and also new merch (only currently
available at shows) is shortly coming, so yea in retrospect NEW
EVERYTHING. At the moment were currently writing new music for our new
EP which will be out sometime this year and we can honestly say we
believe its the best stuff we've ever written and are dead excited to
finally start being able to play some of the new stuff at shows and
give you a taster of what is to come!
this is in no way a slowdown we still want to play as many shows as we can and as you can see were doing just that! so yea.... STAY FUCKING TUNED.

If you strip away the rough production values, Rat Attack's 3 track taster cd is an absolute scorcher of a record. While it would be easy to dub the Exeter crew a more melodic version of Gallows, there's a fire in their bellies that is very reminiscent of the energy of Watford's finest. Sonically Comeback Kid and The Bronx are more likely influences; there's some solid guitar riffs and some awesome gang vocals too, so while this record is on the short side, it does leave a lasting impression.

And in more ways than one too, for each song is on the lengthy side and that's something which, while I think the band would be better suited to punchier tracks, doesn't hinder them at all. The first track stretches to over 5 minutes and the second track is longer than 4, yet each still has an anger and a bite which really stands out.

The vocals are angry and aggressive but not overly so, meaning there's more melody here than you could possibly expect. But that's a very good thing. I suspect we'll be hearing plenty more from this band in 2008 - you'd be best served checking them out now... 4/5 stars!!!!!!
