Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all keeping warm and looking foward to the Thanksgiving break. I love this time of year as it's an awesome chance to catch up with family and friends and yes, I am very thankful for them!
Anyway just wanted to let you all know that I've posted up some new pictures of Naree!
If you don't already know the band then let me officially introduce then to you:
Tony Song - Lead Guitarist
As comfortable with bossa nova as punk rock, the supremely talented Tony Song gives the band its fire. He is song-writer, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and back-up vocals all rolled into one unstopple Korean music machine. This former Virginian and aspiring emcee is breaking hearts and blowing minds at every Naree show.
Casey Marks - Bass
Having performed in a variety of band on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and woodwinds, Casey has concluded that the bass is the best instrument. He plays his instrument like a bonobo riding a buffalo. He also dabbles in Bach, Buddhism, bicycle racing, and Burning Man. Casey grew up in desert mountains of Southern California but now lives in tropical Providence, Rhode Island.
Carl Harkness - Drums
The hardest-hitting drummer this side of the Mason-Dixon line, Carl Harkness is an experienced studio and live musician with a Bachelor's Degree from Berklee College of Music. He keeps the band rocking hard with his heavy beats and entrances the fans with his New England fashions and winning smile. Phil Collins is not one of his influences.
Jaime Jimenez - Keys & Synth
Do we call him a pianist? A keyboardist? A synth player? Let's just say that if it looks anything like a piano, Puerto Rican heart-throb Jaime Jimenez can coax beautiful sounds from an instrument. Elegant piano lines, lush ambience, and driving melodies all flow from his fingers. He may have a degres in Jazz Studies, but it's his long, curly hair that the ladies can't stop talking about.
These guys are awesome to play with and already they've helped Naree reach a new level of creativity and music. Make sure to check back on the Naree MySpace for new songs and videos to catch us in action!
Anyway back to the pics, two albums have been posted:
One album is from our Jekyll and Hyde themed photoshoot which is in preparation for the release of the upcoming album "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde", out early next year!
The second photo album is full of fun pics which we did for my Pick Life Foundation: Cancer Support Through Music. The website is currently being worked on and will be up very very soon so keep an eye out for that!
Finally, look forward to a new MySpace layout which shall be up over the next couple of weeks! I'm so excited for you to see it!
Thank you for continuing to support Naree and remember we would love to hear from you so post a comment or send a message.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Naree
