This week in the New Haven Advocate included a whole page promotional photo for the December 27th show which dwarfed the Fergie photo on the opposite page. Here is what they wrote...
Pleasure Principle
How many New Haven bands can claim to have a franchise in Texas? Only one, it seems: Simple Pleasure, who play tonight at Cafe Nine (250 State St., New Haven, 203-789-8281, cafenine.com). "Play" doesn't actually describe it—these folks compel you to get your dance on with their bouncy, intricate electro-funk, Hives-ish guitar riffs and fake plastic hair. Thrill Velocity brings its club electronica sound along. $4.
