Apparently some guy decided to kill a few cops, was put on death row and is now blaming it all on Grand Theft Auto. Interesting. I play Grand Theft Auto all the time, but I haven't killed anyone yet. Seriously though, he should have just tried blaming it on rap music or something, because then the Alabama court might buy it, don't ya think? Pfssh.

The buzz has been going around with the Mobb Deep and Saigon video of the fight. But the video didn't show the end of the fight where Havoc manned up and was trying to calm the crowd down and stay level headed. Of course Havoc is being dissed because of this, as well all would have expected. But I don't think there's anything wrong with what he did, he was acting grown. What ya'll think?

After Katrina, the cost of living has been increasing and the amount of pay for musicians has been decreasing. This is threatening music in New Orleans. Club owners and promoters are not willing to pay reasonable amounts to musicians because there is always someone willing to work for less, because let's face it, a lil something is better than nothing, when you are nickel and diming to survive. According to data from the New Orleans Musicians Clinic, more than nine in 10 households of local musicians live at or below the poverty line. And these numbers have gotten even worse since Katrina. The musicians are trying to unite together and all refuse these low paying jobs, so that they will have to pay more, or there will be silence. That unity would be great, and it would probably be successful, but its going to take time. And honestly, I don't know how well that is going to work out, because there will always be that one person thinking of only themselves and seeing well if I take all these low paying jobs then I will be making something. So much for the 'Big Easy,' huh?

Democrats are criticizing Hillary after her comment the other day. She suggested that a new terrorist attack would help push Republicans ahead in the election. Although that comment may not want to be heard, face it, it's pretty much true. Look at what happened in the Bush vs. Kerry election when Osama's threat tape came out, it pushed Bush right ahead. But hello people, there is always another Democratic candidate, i.e. Barrack.

When people say that there is a war going on within the country, they are correct. And the kids battling deaths in urban neighborhoods are soldiers too! Veteran combat soldiers are known to develop PTSD, post-dramatic-stress-disorder, after witnessing numerous deaths during their jobs. Well, unlike these war veterans, children in our country's urban neighborhoods do not chose to put their life and mental wellness on line. But they are suffering from the same disorders. Children are witnessing their family members and people close to them being killed and mentally suffer from the tragedy. According to recent research and the country's top child trauma experts, as many as one-third of children living in our country's violent urban neighborhoods have PTSD. This is nearly twice the rate reported for troops returning from war zones in Iraq. However, PTSD is generally not diagnosed or treated for this children, and therefore it is not on the policy maker's agendas. Something needs to be done!

So there was talk about a Fugee's reunion, but the talk can stop now after what Pras, a founding of the Fugees, had to say. His words were simply, "Before I work with Lauryn Hill again, you will have a better chance of seeing Osama Bin Laden and [George W.] Bush in Starbucks having a latte, discussing foreign policies, before there will be a Fugees reunion... At this point I really think it will take an act of God to change her, because she is that far out there." Whoa!! That's a mouth full, huh? We all know Lauryn gone a "little" crazy, but yo, thats what usually happens with the best artists. I think it comes with the territory or something. Anywho, Pras is expected to release his album "Experience" later this year. I bet Lauryn will be first in line when the album drops. Hah!
