It is with a lump in my throat and overwhelming sigh that I announce that Damiera and I have parted ways.  I was asked to leave the band as of Friday due to a difference in direction between myself and the rest of the guys. There is more to it then that, but that is the easiest way to put it.  The split wasn't easy and everyone is upset about it.  Despite that, I think we're all adult enough to understand that it was the best thing to do for both parties.

To make it exceedingly clear, there is NO bad blood.  We're all still friends, and this won't be the last time that myself and members of the band make music together.

With that being said, there is big news in IIOI land.  I've recorded the 4TH town (Westmont, NJ) for the No Sleep Records "No Sleep Till Christmas" & Arbor Records "Christmas Volume 10" compilations.  The song will be a free download for the holidays.  I'll also be announcing new 7" news over the next week, including the status' of the split with Bob Nanna/Lauren Lo and split with Fight Amp.

I'm also selling my bass gear (womp womp) so I can get new guitar gear.  Ampeg SVT Classic w/ matching Emperor Road Case + Ampeg 8X10 cab for $2000.  Available for pickup here in Chicago.  Serious inquiries can message me.

hey guys.  i haven't been online a whole much recently.  lemme bring you up to speed!

1. The songs for the split with Bob Nanna & Lauren Lo are finished and recorded.  My friends Steve Downs (Damiera) and Scott Shellhammer (Ghosts & Vodka / American Heritage) played on the recording.  AWESOME.  Once the songs are mastered, I'll post on here.  Expect the 7" to be out in November.

2. The second set of Twelve Towns songs will be with my friends FIGHT AMP (http://www.myspace.com/fightamp).  I've grown up with these dudes, played in bands with them for years (Mike, their drummer, played on most of 52 Weeks) and I'm stoked to be doing a record with them.  Our friend Harrison will be putting the record out on his label.  Expect a December release for this.

3. I've printed new merch!  I made new IIOI shirts (white/brown/navy/forestgreen).  They are $12 and printed on American Apparel.  I'll try to get some pictures up soon.  I'll have them at shows or you can paypal me at exandoh@hotmail.com.

4. Damiera has been busy writing and playing a few shows here and there in the midwest.  I got a new job and moved into a new place.  It's been a fairly busy and hectic month and I'm glad it's settling down.  You can follow me on twitter if you so desire.  I really just talk about how good movies like ROOKIE OF THE YEAR are.  @intoitoverit.  Heh.

thanks guys!

so i've started my new project.  it's to be called "Twelve Towns".  it will be twelve songs sharing experiences/anecdotes taking place in twelve towns i've visited recently.

these songs will be spread through a series of split 7" records that will be released featuring different close friends as bands and record labels.  they will all be limited to 200 (or less) copies and will be available at shows, from both bands and their cooresponding labels.

are you confused yet?

i'll be announcing these releases gradually, but the first 7" will be with Bob Nanna & Lauren Lo and will be released on Evil Weevil Records sometime in October.  everyone involved is STOKED.

anyway -- i appreciate all of the ongoing support.  the cd is out and is doing very well.  the shows have been a lot of fun and i'm trying to play as many as  can.  i'll be adding august dates this week and trying to post some touring plans for the fall.

THANKS!

ok so here goes. i have a lot to get through.

1. FINALLY 52 Weeks will be released on 2xCD. My buddy Chris over at No Sleep Records approached me about putting out the record and we've worked it out. We're both STOKED.  The layout will be awesome and jam packed because of all the content. Chris and I are both excited to get this out as it's a big step for me as well as his label. Release is June 23rd. I will keep you all informed of the preorder.

That being said... the podcast and website has been taken down. I can assure you however, the remixes sound WAY better. I'll be selling it at shows and on this site for somewhere between 10 and 15 bucks. I think that's fair for 3 hours worth of music.

2. With signing to a new label, we're going to start making some new merch. That means i have to clean house on the old merch. Help me out. Everything is on sale. I'm just trying to get it out of my apartment.  I've posted photos of everything in the photos section of this page.

3. I'm selling off my/The Progress van. It's a 1999 Ford E150. It has 160k miles on it. A cracked windshield and needs glass for a new right mirror. It has newish brakes and tires on it. It runs great. has had regular oil changes and doesn't have any problems with it (aside from what I mentioned earlier) that I know of.

I'm asking $1500 OBO and I want to sell it to a band. Serious inquiries email: evantweiss@gmail.com

THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!
