First of all, I've been such a good girl in 2009 and I think Santa should bring all of the things mentioned in my video posted on here ;)

2010 will be a very exciting year for me. A Country/Americana album is IN THE WORKS (finally) and will focus on acoustic instruments, soulful and powerful lyrics and vocals, and an organic sound.

Even though my tomatoes I was growing this year froze with the first freeze, I am not afraid to put out a good old home grown record that mirrors the music I was brought up listening to. The tunes my parents played like Joni, Dylan, Carole King, and so many others that I grew to love and shaped my music will shape this record as well and it will hopefully be a favorite for all!

BUT I will be starting the year off in Costa Rica! Bringing my mandolin will fulfill my music needs while I'm there and maybe i'll even get some inspiration from the natives for a different sound. Wish me luck and keep checking back for more updates!

Hey, did any of you catch Dave Cook on American Idol last night?   Yea, I like to watch American Idol when I’m not gigging myself or tutoring.   OMG!!!  David Cook’s rendition of  "Billie Jean" was not only flawless and original but was also hauntingly moving.  I knew I was experiencing something really special when I kept getting waves of goosebumps during his performance.   I have not experienced an Idol performance like that one EVER!    Dang, if he can deliver a song like that, I wonder if he ever writes his own stuff?  I declare I am a solid fan!

David "Dave" Cook is from Tulsa, OK and I’m really surprised I had never heard of him before.   Always wanted to go to Tulsa...Webber Root Beer and David Cook.

So...by now, Dave Cook’s performance should be on YouTube.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

On December 31st, it was announced that  Ashlee Rose had been named "Most Requested Artist for 2007" on RadioNC broadcast from North Carolina.  This is a tremendous honor for young Rose.   Her song, "Let It Rain" continues to chart in the Top 10 on their charts.  Ashlee Rose was also "Most Requested Artist for 2006" on RadioNC.
