Wilkes Productions is a full service entertainment company. Meaning we handle all phases of entertainment from producing live shows, providing live entertainment, managing and/or booking artists. We promote two annual signature events. One is an annual banquet for the boxing community. "Salute to Philly Boxers" The second is an annual pageant for plus size women. "Big Beautiful Women Pageant"
We book artist in a variety of roles and venues. We ask that if you get the opportunity to see any of the artist we booked please be open minded and of cause objective and give us your honest opinion as to their performance. We appreciate all feed back. We place dancers, DJ's, models, singers, comedians, actors/actresses and more.
Recently we had one of the winners of our pageant and her daughter (who both are models and actresses) on a national TV show. They did the show so well that we got feed back in reference to them being what people saw on the show. That is a real compliment to their acting abilities. It is really funny because the feed back was that they were really ghetto girls. (Which is the way they acted) The funny thing is that they come from a very well to do family and background. You can even say their family is rich and they were both (mother and daughter) raised in the best neighborhoods. Because the mother was one of our pageant winners, some of the feed back related the acting to the pageant. A lady said she wouldn't want to be in a pageant that allowed that type of woman to participate. I know that sounds small minded but that is how convincing the lady in the show was. We had one comment that said being like that she would put a bad name to our business. Now that was very funny! If anything it shows that we place very good talented artist. If you saw her a few years ago on "The Ricki Lake Show" you would have seen her being sofisticated and poised like she really is. If you think they can act you should see them model... Again thanks for the comments and feedback please keep them coming, whether positive or not so good. We thrive on it...
