Last night I spoke to a younger friend from college who was sharing the news of her engagement (big surprise) and her new life plan which includes many admirable and homely goals such as being a good wife and raising children...then I began to think about where my own life was going and where I wanted to be...growing up, don't you have the Age? The age where you want to be married, want to get pregnant, want to be in a specific financial bracket, want to be acquring your dream home or second home on the beach? The age for marriage for me was 28....let's see I'm about to turn 27 and don't have a boyfriend...I'm in debt from school, don't own a thing in the world...then the other side takes over...I do feel (and I've always felt) that there are two very different sides to me...one is the sweet, southern, modest, reserved, girl....and the other is an independent thinker who wants to be able to change the world...one part of Jocelyn is the one who moves cross-country by herself and takes up running for a cause and opens her eyes/mind and the other part moves close to home and thinks about which side to indulge....
