I reach for it
my mind,saying no
for it is the devils
offerings,
all wrapped
up in gold.
My conscience
won't allow me
to grasp it
in my hand.
And so, I let it go
this time.
Yet,just
as it is offered now!
It is always
sitting on the table
perceiving a moment of
weakness!

It had come,a cold
winter's , day
Angel's , flew down and
swept,you away.
They'd ,grabbed your soul
plain as day,and left your
shell,to fade away!
It crushed my heart ,and
made me cry.
I wish, I'd had a chance
to say,good-bye.
Just until, by any chance
we meet again,
I'll say,farewell
to my best,friend!
Love,from your son. Always!
DAD ,YOU WERE MY LIFE !

MUSIC,PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND. THE AUDIENCE, GROWS, STILL. AND ,JUST ABOVE THE PODIUM ARE PHOTOGRAPH'S,REVEALED. YOU, AS ,A BABY FIRST, THEN, ONE,TWO,AND THREE. UP ,TILL TONIGHT. A SENIOR ,IN YOUR TEENS! AS, YOUR MAKING YOUR JOURNEY YOUR ,HEART BEATS A LITTLE FAST. AS YOU PAUSE,A MOMENT REMEMBERING,THE PAST. THEN,MOVE ON. AS ,YOU REACH THE PODIEUM EXTENDING,YOUR HAND IT FEEL'S LIKE EVERYTHING, YOU'VE,DREAMED OF SO,MANY THINGS ,YOU'VE PLANNED. YOU WALK OFF THE STAGE, AND WAIT. UNTIL,THE LAST NAME IS CALLED. THROW YOUR HAT,UP IN THE AIR! CLOSE,THE DOOR. AND MOVE

In some small, corner of the world
a light flickers, beginning
to fade.
Who's watt's,have been a guide
through,dark times in former,
day's.
I sure will miss,it's
lovely,glow
as this type of bulb, is irreplaceable,
I know.
For, it's beams, were never too high,
nor low.
Yet,how will I see,when it no longer
shines?
What, will I do? When, it leaves's
the,darkness ,
behind ?

I, put you on a pedestal
up so very high.
That, you could have waved
your hand,
and almost touched
the sky!
You ,were the mother of my
dreams. From, the day that we
first met.Treating me with kindness,
understanding,and such
respect!
You've been up there for year's,now.
I see no need, to take you down !
Because, after all, there's no other
Mother,like you ,to be found!
Happy, Mother's Day!

She's had her wings
for three,long years.
Yet,it seems like yesterday!
That,God called her name
aloud.Then, carried her away!
I sometimes wish,I could
be with her.Especially,
on day's like this.
When,the whole wide world
is celebrating,with flower's,
card's,and gift's!
I see them everywhere,
and my heartbreak's, all the more!
Because,I can't say face to face,
what's on my mind, and in my heart!
I could sit by her stone!
And ,reveal myself.But I've
learned,from past experience.
That, it doesn't help!
I suppose,I need the nearness
that, I've always felt.
As, I looked into her eye's.
For,they revealed
an unconditional,love.
So, unlike another!
That's often shared
exculusively,between a
child and mother!

Give, me just an ounce
of hope.Help me let go
of this tightening,
rope.Day after day,
it gets harder
to do.To find myself,
and let go of you.
I once was dependent,
upon myself.
But, then I met you,
and you offered
me help.
With your help,I felt a
little,less scared.
A little more capable
of doing things,that
normally,I hadn't dared.
But, as time went by,I
began to realize,that
the more I did ,with you
at my side. The more of myself
I would begin to hide.
So, here I am ,now !
With this tightening,
rope.Trying to get away,
with something,called, Hope!

I am a single flower
swaying in the breeze.
The grass,my only companion
lest,I count the far off trees.
I arise,to face the sun each day
with dew-drop's,on my leaves.
As,I peer about the plains
to see, if yet another flower
breathes.Upon spying,no sprouts
no bud's,no seeds,that old familiar
feeling,again embraces me!

As, I sit here watching, Landon.
I am overcome,with joy!
For,he is such, a beautiful
and wonderous,tiny
baby, boy.He does not
want,more than he needs.
Some food, his diaper clean,
and, a whole lot of love.
He's sleeping now! Or
somewhere in between,
I suppose!
His eye's kind of open,
then close.
He cracks a little smile,
and, I smile,in wonder too!
Of, just who visits
in his sleep.
Is it angel's ,as I've
been told?
Or, is it just
a dream?
He's sleeping,
soundly now.
His eye's, are still
and he's, not smiling,
just, breathing in and
out.
Almost,want to wake
him! But,why refuse,
myself the pleasure.
Because,I could sit
for hours,staring
at,this sleeping,treasure!
