I took the STOVE tracks out of the player... because we've set up a page purely for STOVE and they belong there! If you want to hear them, check out the first link in my SUPERFRIENDS™... ah wait, it's still not called that is it? Top 8 or whatever. 24. I don't know but you know what I mean.

Thanks for remotely give a sh*t - more new tracks up soon! Don't forget to download the album if you didn't already (check previous blog posts)

"To celebrate the relaunch of Rhythm Incursions in its podcast-and-portal guise, we thought we'd start with a generous opening gambit. So, how's about an entire album, currently for sale on Bleep and iTunes for around £7.99 (or whatever you pay in your country), in 320kbps MP3, with artwork, with additional Buddy Peace promo megamix… absolutely FREE. You like that? Damn right you do!"

EDIT: Moved the STOVE tracks to the STOVE page.

The tracks on there now are all me except for "Zoeller" which features the awesome talents of John Rose from Gaia. If you have the 'Gameface' EP, John provided all the melodic elements for "A Famous Myth" and it's an honour to call him one of my closest friends. Of course, if you don't have the 'Gameface' EP - hit me up and buy one, go download it or whatever. Hear that!

Just a note about sasQwax and the switch from waxfactor etc.

I basically got tired of the hip-hop I've been obsessed with since I was 10 years old. I don't hate hip-hop, nor have I completely stopped buying or listening to hip-hop, however the aspect of hip-hop I'm mostly interested in making these days embraces inspirations such as psych/prog/kraut-rock (as you'll probably hear from the player - if not currently then certainly in coming weeks/months). Hip-hop has changed a lot over the years. Making waxfactor stuff was fun and I'm very proud of the work I did under that name, but it's time to move on. The future is about sasQwax now... and Ambulance Chasers (with Andy Zuk), STOVEPiPE (with Tony Stone), Klo.pek (with Buddy Peace)... and a whole lot more...

sasQwax & Buddy Peace, killin’ it on the MPCs in Sheffield...

If you’re around the Steel City, you might have been to the Daedelus gig at TTC and noticed that the guy behind the decks was distinctly less velvet-jacketed and more Kangol’d... Word, it was me. There was a problem with Daedelus’ visa so I filled in for the man. Hopefully he’ll be back out here soon with no hitches.

If you were anywhere near the BLANK night at The Forum on Thursday you could’ve seen myself and the man like BUDDY PEACE freestyling on the MPCs in some unrehearsed improve action. It’s the first time Buddy and I have had the chance to hook up live since Hip-Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic (BIG UPS all the crew out there!) but it rather than rocking 4 turntables and 2 mixers we opted for 2 turntables, 1 mixer and 2 MPCs (along with a couple of Kaoss pads and an SP303 for good measure...). It was the intial outing of what I hope will become a semi-regular connection... the potential for this stuff is truly mindblowing... can’t wait to flip some more wigs next time out

Zooface vs Waxfactor (Rhythm Incursions special)

this is a 1 hr mix comprising 30mins from zooface followed by 30mins of mine (which is actually an airing of the solid steel set i did years and years ago to promote the superdense child "elvis pig farmer" lp)

-------

The Huston Rockets (Up The Anti off-cut)

this one is a minimix of Prince Paul bits and pieces done for the Up The Anti mix but it didn't really fit

-------

check Battlecake for more Zooface & general Battlecake related downloads (and don't sleep on the Breezeblock mix - it's pure sickness)
