First off, we'd like to mention that our brand new EP will FINALLY be ready at the end of this month. With some luck, there might be copies available next week at our first show of the new year.

If you're interested in attending the game next Friday, the 25th (vs. the New Jersey Nets), we finally have some new details.

Instead of the standard $77 per ticket (ouch!), you can get them through us at the special rate of $40 each. That's for club level!

To order tickets, call Kenny Keblaitis @ 303.405.7635 or email him @ kkeblaitis@pepsicenter.com

If that's still too rich for your blood, you can still catch us playing after the game ends. Club level will become all access to all ticket holders and everyone is welcome!

Lastly, we've just posted a Facebook fan page for the band. Please check it out here: Chris Webb Band on Facebook

Happy New Year everyone, it's gonna be a great one for CWB, and we're excited to share it with all of you.

Figured it was time for an official update. We just finished the final mixing on our upcoming EP (finally)! We've also been busy training a new drummer.

For those who aren't aware, Ian (our current drummer) will be graduating from the Lamont School of Music @ DU this November. Following graduation, he's moving back home to Los Angeles. We wish him luck & success starting out his career out west. We're gonna miss you, Ian! (Come catch his senior recital on Nov. 19th, 7:30 PM @ the Lamont School of Music in Denver.)

On that note, we'd like to welcome Lucas Clarke to the CWB family. He's been working hard to learn all the CWB material. Lucas will be playing his first live show with us this coming Saturday, November 10th @ the Lazy Dog in Boulder, CO. 10 PM, 21+ FREE!!! We're excited for the future with the new line-up.

After Chris won the regional Virgin Megastores Battle-of-the-Bands, the band went on to compete at the national level. After a grueling & nerveracking two weeks, we ended up coming in 2nd nationally. Thanks to all our friends & fans for showing your support!

Finally, please take a moment to look at our upcoming shows. You might notice that we'll be playing @ the Denver Nuggets game on January 25th. During halftime & again after the game, we will be playing in the Lexus Club inside of the Pepsi Center. If you'd like tickets to the game, we get half-off tix for our fans. Contact us here or at our website for more info.

Hope to see everyone at our show this Saturday! Enjoy the upcoming holiday season.

Hey everyone, we're 1 of 4 bands competing in the Virgin Megastores Battle of the Bands online. For those who don't know, Chris performed 3 songs @ the Denver location this past Friday and ended up winning!

So, now's our chance to compete at the national level. Take a quick moment and vote for us online @ http://www.virginmegamashup.com/battle/battleofthebands.html

We appreciate all the help we can get, so ask your friends to vote too!

We'd just like to take a moment and wish our guitarist, Ryan Cook, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today! Another year has gone by.

Chris & Neil will be playing the Denver 9news NBC Labor Day Weekend morning show this coming Saturday (the 1st of Sept.). Tune in at 7:40 or 8:40 AM (bright & early!) to catch some great live music from half of CWB. Tape it, Tivo it, do what ya gotta do! We'll be sure to post a web link if they post the video online.

We spent many hours into the wee morning @ the studio this past week laying down tracks for our upcoming EP. Many thanks to Scott Griess & Mile High Music studios for getting us in there. The music is sounding great and we're really excited about the sounds we're getting. Everyone out there should be pleasantly surprised with these new tracks. Look for release in late September or early October.

Also, for anyone who hasn't been to a CWB show recently, there are brand new official stickers and t-shirts for sale. The best part: if you sign our email list, you'll get a sticker for free! Nothing wrong with free stuff.

As the Summer winds down, we wish all our friends & fans a happy Fall. We're lining up some great shows all across the front range. We hope to see all of you very soon!

Just wanna take a moment and acknowledge Ian's birth on this day (which was actually yesterday). Many of us joined him in LoDo for some drinking mayhem last night. Not entirely sure, but I don't think I got back until about 5 AM this morning. Who knows when Ian made it home. Let us never have a birthday @ the Chophouse ever again.

Seriously, who created the "@" symbol? Why did someone feel like it was necessary to create a symbol for a two letter word? "Oh yeah, this will really save some time when I'm typing ANYTHING." Don't tell me it was for the internet/email, because I'm pretty sure it existed long before Al Gore took any credit for the information super highway. I bet it was the brain child of that wheel chair guy.

Denver Daily News
Webb catches band
By PETER MARCUS - January 18, 2007
Denver musician Chris Webb just couldn't do it alone.

He said it was fun to be recording and performing solo material, but in the end, he was missing the "band" at the end of his name.

"It came to the point where I realized that I was missing the band, the ability to play back-and-forth and develop as a band," he told the Denver Daily News yesterday in between hitting the slopes at Keystone Ski Resort. "I needed the 'band' at the end of my name."

Ad on CraigsList

So, he did what most yearning musicians do — he posted an ad on CraigsList and found himself two musicians, Ian Tometich on drums and Neil Hebbert on bass.

With Webb on the guitar, writing most of the songs, the trio has become a Colorado homegrown sensation, performing to packed audiences all over the metro area, including the Fox Theatre in Boulder, and the Gothic Theatre in Denver.

At the Lazy Dog

The Chris Webb Band will perform in Boulder tonight at the Lazy Dog.

The self-described Ben Harper-esque band encompasses the Colorado homegrown tradition of combining song-based rock and roll with folk and a little jam.

"We're very focused on everything revolving around the actual song," said Webb.

No-spin songs

He said that the songs he writes are about whatever comes out, though he does not like to take a political spin.

Many of the songs, Webb said without wanting to sound cliche, are about the power of love.

"We try to create songs that tend to focus on a part of your life," he said. "When you try to remember to that one time in your life, often a song will pop into your head, we want it to be our song."

The Chris Webb Band plans on heading into the studio next month to create an album that captures the essence of the band.

"We're looking to get the image that surrounds us, the vibe in the scene, the type of atmosphere at the shows, we want it to be more about the experience we go through than saying something in particular."

True and sincere

Webb would like the music he writes to remain true and sincere even years down the road when people have forgotten about what the President was saying today, or what war was going on at the time the song was written.

Many of his songs are simply about staying positive, or finding the positive in a negative situation.

"So when I say I fall on my face, I'm really saying she broke me down right when I was about to get too high," Webb explained. "I have a very positive outlook on life, it keeps you healthy."
