Why hello!

We've finally managed to get the live recording of our album launch copied on to DVD (oh the technology!).  Anyhoo, you can now see the last song of the evening, "Good Thoughts".  This was an 11 piece, drum and bagpipe-filled extravaganza as we were joined on stage by the very talented Clanan An Drumma.

When we played our launch night, we finished the set with a new song called "Good Thoughts" which was written after the album was recorded.  At the gig, we asked our friends, Clannan An Drumma to play the song with us.  This resulted in us sharing the stage with five drummers and a bagpipe player, and the response from the crowd was phenomenal.  So phenomenal infact that we decided that we should record the song as soon as possible and luckily for us, Clannan An Drumma agreed.

We recorded the track a couple of weekends ago, in one day, at Son Studios in Clydebank with Roddy McIlwraith. 

We're really chuffed wihe results and want to thank Clannan An Drumma and Roddy doing an amazing job.

Anyway, we're so happy with the end result that we decided to make it available for free download, so go on, get yerself a copy of it now and we hope you enjoy it.  You should be able to download it straight from player on our profile page.

Hey Y'all

How the devil are ye?  We're all grand and getting ready for a flurry of gigs we've excitedly booked.  We're especially looking forward to playing the town hall in our very own Clydebank and also our first gig at the infamous Nice N Sleazy with friends; The Zonules of Zinn (see upcoming shows for details).  Suffice to say, we cannae wait.

A quick thanks to everyone who voted for us on the Orange Unsigned thing.  We unfortunately didn't get though.  There'll be no meeting Jo Whiley in the flesh... just yet! 

So, in what appears to be in true Spinal Tap fashion, we have recruited the assistance of ...yes, you've guessed it....yet another drummer!  As recent band recruit Gerry has some other commitments which at times, means he's unavailble.  As such, good friend to the band, Ali Ross, had offered to play the gigs that Gerry can't.  Ali's a nice man, if somewhat unhinged.... he's fitting in perfectly!  In a complete effort to be all 'show-offy', we've already played a gig with the two of them at the same time... yep; check us with the two drummers.  Put that in yer pipe!

Anyway, enough of the self-admiration, we can leave that to others for a mo as our cd has received another review, which you can read for yourselves at:

One final bit of news, our bass player, Craig, shall be playing a rare solo gig of his own material, at the fabulously retro and kitch Rio Cafe, Hyndland St, Partick on Wednesday the 8th of October and would love your support, if you can make it along.

Well, hello there, y'all!  Well, it's like this...  in a vague attempt at TV stardom (and more importantly, the chance to meet Jo Whiley….purrr) we've entered Channel 4's Mobile Act Unsigned competition.  Yep, you remember the one; where each Sunday, bands compete for the first prize of a record deal and suspiciously low advance as they get ridiculed and humiliated on national telly by the Judges.  Sounds like our kind of fun!
