But Bellatrax (the UK’s Chris Dececio) is a current favorite remixer of mine. The Bellatrax sound is very clearly identifiable, and I blogged at one point about whether that’s a good thing or a bad one. It’s good in that you start to recognize and look for the remixes

From musician to video star

A HUMBERSTON School pupil has had another big break in the entertainment industry after appearing in a music video.
Musician Naomi McLernon is appearing in the television promo for Chipmunk's new single Chip Diddy Chip.
As a musician, Naomi (16) specializes in acoustic sounds, and is
influenced by pop and rock acts such as The Veronica s and Taylor Swift
– however, that hasn't stopped her from having a broad repertoire.
She said: "At the moment, I'm working on various projects – I'm getting quite a lot of dance tracks to work on."

As
reported, Naomi has already seen success appearing on Top Of The Pops
Reloaded, and locally at a range of shows including Live At The Lake.
Her passion for acting has taken her to London to appear in an R'n'B video for MTV, Kiss and Q.

Naomi
took part in auditions, before appearing in the video. She said: "I
went for an audition and an interview – then, the following Saturday, I
got an email to say I was in.

"I then went to the video shoot the next Saturday, at a big London high school.

"I'm
first seen in the video walking along with four other girls, in a scene
which has Adam Deacon – who has appeared in films like Kidult hood And
Adulthood – in it.
"He was a really nice guy, very laid back."
She
said there was a mix of the glamour you would assume to be on a film
set – and grim weather to bring things down to earth: "It was freezing,
and we had to do the scene 10 times.
"However,
the whole thing is just like you would expect making a film, with
cameras set up on tracks around us, and photographers on set taking
pictures for the papers.
"I do go to acting auditions quite a lot, its nice to get a break"
For
now, however, it's back to focusing on her music career, which will
include an appearance with Marc at the Mayor's Charity Night at the Grimsby
Auditorium on Friday, February 20 – phone 0844 847 2426 for tickets.
