Saturday night at Taylor Books went very well! A huge thanks to Maya Nye for coming out and sharing some great music with us and the packed house at TB's! Karen and I really appreciate Maya opening the evening with some well delivered covers of Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Neko Case, and many others! We had a blast! Take care and thanks to all those that came out to support the show!

New York based Jupiter One will travel into the Kanawha Valley for a show this Friday night at The Sound Factory on the Kanawha Blvd. beginning around 10pm. Tofujitsu will open. This is date music folks! So, if you need to get closer to the one you love or lust over, this evenings music event should not hinder that need. Great rhythms, layered with tasty vocals, create a mood that makes you want to move your body. It's energy with dynamics and well thought out song arrangements. Check them out on myspace friends page for yourself. I think you will see what I'm getting at... and local Tofujitsu will throw nice harmony vocals at you with layed back, down tempo songs. The rest is up to you! Yes, a small cover will be in place at the door. But nothing too scary! Pony up and bring yourself and a date to The Sound Factory this Friday night!

Huge thank you to Kai, Greg, and Brian for hosting a great Live Mix Valentine's Day party last night! It was so nice to see an overflow crowd, hear different styles of bands and meet new people! One of the best events I've been to in some time! Well, since your last party! Thanks again!

Thanks Nathaniel for coming to Charleston and sharing your songs! Karen and I enjoyed hearing you play very much. A big thank you for inviting us to open for you! It was great getting to hang with you after the show and learn a little about your life and the music you've created. We were unaware you have played Charleston five or six times! Amazing story about your car and you surviving that horrible crash into the semi! Yikes! Hope you had a nice last show on your tour in Newport, Kentucky and have returned safely home to Bloomington, Indiana. We wish you well and hope to see you in Charleston again on a future tour! Really cool to have received an invite to open for Nathaniel Seer @ The Empty Glass Feb. 6th, 2009! This is my first post and I'm looking forward to using this source for better flow of info this year. We'll see how it goes. Must say I have been all too happy to have found Karen Allen and we are so very happy together, making music and in love. It is so nice being able to honestly write those feelings into words. I'm so stoked to try out 09' for all it has to offer! Hope to see you there at The Empty Glass diggin' on Nathaniel's music.
