"I'm sorry that the news I'm reporting today is devastating. There has been a tragedy as a lot of you already know, our homeboy Tre' Stylez was shot & killed early on December 3rd.
All my prayers, love, & respect go out to his family. Tre' was a good man, he was very loved & highly respected as a person, as well as an artist. Tre' was only 23 years old. The golden rule, the good die young. So light a candle, blaze a blunt, take a shot, whatever you do, it's no mystery that Tre' will be missed. If you were lucky enough to meet him then you know how influential he was. When you spoke to him you would walk away looking at things a lil' different. Tre' had influenced each and every one of us here at AA.
May your presence be felt through our lyrics and your soul find eternal peace. You'll forever be missed & never forgotten. God bless our fallen soldiers.

"I really dunno how to start this so I'ma just come out with it. On December 3rd at 7:30am, a good friend of mine and all of ours here at AA: Tre' Stylez was shot and killed in his hometown Greensboro, NC. I just wanted to take the time and say on behalf of everybody here at Anti-Authority Records, shit on behalf of everyone who knew Tre': "We love you dog and things ain't gonna be the same without you." Crazy amounts of love and respect go out to his entire family and all his trues in the NC like Stitchy C, G-Nut a.k.a. John Young, Jizzy Jock, Matt, Ross, E-Dot, Sherry, and the rest of the Iconoclast Productions crew. I know this is hitting y'all the hardest and I just want y'all to know you ain't alone. The love Tre' had spread a lot further than just NC.
I knew him as a care-free, live day by day performer with knowledge on just about any subject you could imagine. He was always someone I looked up to highly as an artist and performer. I first met him through my homeboy Stitchy C back in 2002 when we was all on the bill for a show up there. After that me n Tre' started talking which eventually lead to us recording "On Your Knees" with Stitchy C for my "Platinum Punk" album. Just this past June, Tre' came down here to Florida to visit some family and hang with the AA crew. Me & Spott had been talking on the low the whole time he was chillin' with us to sign him to Anti-Authority Records. When we finally brought it up to him, we was surprised when he made the decision to join right then and there. We were hoping to release that album by the end of 2006, and well.. in spirit of him signing to the label, we're lookin into releasing a greatest hits/remix album in memory of Tre' under the title he wanted for his album on Anti-Authority with the profit from sales going to some type of non-profit organization. If everything goes right with it, it'll also have a bonus DVD with it so people who didn't know him will get to know him on a more personal level. I'ma keep you posted on that as it unfolds but I just wanted to let you know its goin down and its far from the end of Tre' Stylez.
I also know from all the times I met or talked to him, Tre' wouldn't want us to cry about his death. He would want us to rejoice, kick back with a few brews, and listen to his album. The best thing you can do is remember what he did for all of us. His passion was music and there is no better way to keep that alive than to pass it on and spread the word.
Tre', even though you said "I'll be doin' this shit til I die", we gon make sure your doin this way past your death. I promise you these cats out here won't forget who Tre' Stylez is, and if they never knew, they gon find out. Thanks for all them long ass phone conversations about music back in the day, and I'm grateful to have done those 2 songs with you. You'll always be remembered, dog.

"I neva thought someone I knew so little about would have such a great impact on my life. It was a short time indeed bra. I only got to chill wit ya fa those couple of days when we did that show in G- town and had that bomb ass house party at ya crib, but I feel close to ya bro. i guess it's your music that made me feel so close to ya because I related so much to your lyrics dawg. Thankx fa givin me such a warm welcome to NC too. I'll aslwayz regret never getting to record with ya. That would have been an honor because before I stepped both feet into this game, I was bumpin your album, which I got from Delusional, and ever since then I've looked up to ya man and had the upmost respect for you. I wish I could jam out to ya live just ONE more time like at my first, n well... last show with you. You have so much stamina and skill both live and in the studio and we're making a mission that you do not go unheard and that the world continues to recognize your skill. You could see your love for the mic and for performing shine as you rocked that stage that nite in Greensboro bra. I just hope I can reach your level of confidence both on the stage and in life. You are brave and went out a hero man. Ya lived by da sword and died by the gat just as you wished homie. Thankx again fa opening up my eyes and mind.
