Ah, wow, I've finally started a new series surrounding a totally kick ass chick who has the special ability to shift skin like a chameleon. I'm really excited and totally in for the characters and the arcing story line. Here's a little info:

Late Shift by Hannah Beckham

Blurb:
Trinity Staten works as a file clerk by day and a hunter by night. Her
parents were slayers, and until they died when she was sixteen, they’d
raised Trini to do the same. Her unique ability to shift skin color
like a chameleon is an invaluable tool in the fight against the
monsters. Since a one-night stand went bad, Trinity’s been unable to
control her natural camouflage.

Merlin Davitch, super-hot genius and Trinity’s best friend, is trying
to discover why her body is changing. Merl is the only family Trinity
has left, but if she can’t stop going into heat every time he’s near,
she’s afraid she’ll lose him too.

On top of that, suddenly the demons are knocking on her door. The hunter is becoming the hunted.

She seeks help from an unlikely ally, Newton Price, a telepath who
works for the demons. He is buff and beautiful, with scars of his own,
but he won’t stay out of her head, literally.

If she doesn’t get her shifting ability, her raging hormones, and her
life under control, she’s going to become demon bait. As the mystery
unravels, Trinity tries to hold on to her sanity and her men, and she
discovers more about her origins than she ever wanted to know.

Well, I've got a new book, part of a new series, coming out in February. I've been pounding away at the deadline (four days, people!). Any how, I've also been redoing my website (http://www.hannahbeckham.com). With a new blog feature "Diary of a Desperate Housewriter."

I'm fast and furiously working on my next Changeling Press book, part of the Madam Periwinkle series that will be available this summer!

The book is called "Outlook Orgasmic." I suck at summaries/ blurbs, but I'm going to give it a shot. LOL. The book will be out in September!

It's about a thirty-something medical student, Terri Smythe, who has up and moved her life from New York to Missouri after a long divorce. Her best-friends come for a visit, and they visit Madam Periwinkle's, where Terri is given a Magic 8-ball and is knocked over, literally, by the most beautiful man she's ever seen. Unfortunately, he's rude as hell, and doesn't even apologize.

A few days later, after her friends have all left, Terri is back at work as a morgue attendant (paying the bills). A John Doe is brought in on her shift, and it's the man from the shop. She's baffled by how drawn she feels to the very, good-looking, very dead hunka-hunka. She's even more surprised when he gets up and walks out of the morgue, leaving Terri to explain where the missing body has gone.

The only clue she has to the mysterious stranger is a necklace of unknown origin which she's accidentally pocketed while processing his effects. She starts back at the place she first saw him - Madam Periwinkle's Novelty Shop.

The man, Niko Pappas, is a vampire (over four-hundred years old) and he's pissed. Niko is determined to find out who tried to kill him, and he believes the killer has stolen his necklace.

Armed only with a Magic 8-Ball and a necklace, Terri sets out on an erotic adventure into a world she never dreamed existed. Will she die from the sheer rapture of the Greek vampire, or just die.

Hannah

Well, I'm burning the candle at both ends to finish "Packing Up," the third book in the Send 'em Packing series.  LOL. I have an editor who for some reason expects my manuscripts to come in on time. Imagine that. Seriously though, I love her. I wholly and completely need the pressure.

Just got a new review for Packing for Three, which I'm completely stoked about!

5 Stars!! "Hannah Beckham has created a must read series. I am hooked. The characters are hot, hot, hot and the action is intense. There is never a dull moment in this story. This is definitely a book that will be read many, many times." Kimberley Spinney, ecataromance.

So, that's encouraging, lol.

Blurb:
When Matt Brewer, Maya Eddings' werewolf lover, calls her from his hometown in the Ozarks, Maya is fit to be tied. He's in trouble. His were-chick girlfriend Jenny has disappeared, and the clan suspects foul play. And Jenny's den is blaming Matt.

Maya would love to tell Matt to kiss-off, but the stakes are too high. His life could be forfeit if the situation isn't resolved. So, she packs her bags and her 9mm for a road trip with her other lover, Stephen Daniels, riding shotgun. Probably not the best idea, since Stephen's incubic genes seem to have a really strange reaction to lycans.

Between Matt's family, Jenny's disappearance, and Stephen's unusual talent for inciting a sexual riot, Maya has gotten into more trouble than she can shoot her way out of.

I have been getting some wunnerful reviews for my first book Packing Heat, so I feel the compulsive need to share. :)

xxoo,

Hannah

Packing Heat is aptly named, this book is packed with action to romance and the paranormal elements are just icing on the cake. This is Hannah Beckham's début book but reads like a pro, she weaves a tight story with humor, strong characters and a kick-ass heroine that will have you begging her to write more.

Catherine Smith, Paranormal Romance.org

Packing Heat is a sexy paranormal adventure. Readers are swept up in Maya's adventurous life and whisked away on the lust that fills the pages when her men walk through the door. Ms. Beckham builds a fun and action packed world for her characters to work and play in. A tension filled romance with just the right amount of paranormal detail to give this story a delicious edge.

Water Nymphs, Literary Nymphs

Packing Heat is packed with the unusual, but it all works.  Matt must confront the fact that the woman he considers his mate is sleeping with another man, and things that go bump in the night actually inhabit Kansas City (who knew?).  Additionally, Maya must decide how to proceed with two men in her life, each of whom wants her for himself.

This Happy For Now story left me wanting more, which is a good thing, seeing how this is the first in the series.

Eight Ridiculous Questions With Hannah Beckam

Hannah Beckham is ready to be fitted for her own straightjacket and a magical stay in the rubber room. After a stint in the Army, Hannah found writing a great way to escape the insanity that is her life. She likes tough heroines with a sense of humor, and heroes who are hunkishly supernatural and a little damaged. She's always up for email. Readers can write her at hannah@hannahbeckham.com or visit her website at www.hannahbeckham.com.

1. What's the worst thing you've ever eaten? Worst as in disgusting, or worse as in my least favorite regular food....hmmm. Let's see, the most digusting thing I've ever eaten is mud pie, made from actual mud and eggs my sister and I stole from the chicken coop when we were little. My least favorite food would have to be peas. Oh wait! My mother in law made a potato salad once that made me feel like I was going to puke. It was really gross.

2. What's our favourite swear word? Shit. LOL. Although, I think there is something to be said for the word fuck. Lots of uses there.

3. When were you last naked outside? Oh, hell. I can't remember. It's been a very long time, if that tells you anything.

4. What's your karaoke song of choice? White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. Have You Ever Seen the Rain by CCR is a close second.

5. How far is too far? In distance, nothings too far. In other aspects of life, there is definitely such a thing as going too far in my book. :)

6. If they made a movie of your life, who would play you? Oi! This is a tough question. Will I get paid double if I just play myself?

7. You're having an affair with a famous historical figure. Who is it and why? Abraham Lincoln, because he looks like he'd be a fabulous lover. You know what they say about really tall men. hehe.

8. Favourite sex toy? A man
