Hey Friends,

Hope your Halloween was fun. I’m writing to let you know we’re going on tour next month and we’ll need you’re help promoting the shows. It’s always hard to get the word out that we’re on tour. I’ve heard people complain about not knowing about a show in his/her town. It’s always effective to think of the various ways you’ve heard about a tour coming to your town. Coffee shop windows, indie record stores, college campus, etc. There’s always a good spot for a tour poster. Also, there are lots of ways to make noise online. I’m not hip to all the ways, but things are growing and changing so rapidly, the “DIY” approach is more effective than ever. We’re one of the few bands in this world that has a dedicated fan base who take things to a new level, the street team. Most fans don’t want to go above and beyond and help a band he/she loves. Thank you for helping and being apart of our bands future. We do recognize the work you do for us and appreciate the time you invest. Hopefully, our band will continue to grow and appeal to newer fans and recruit new street team members. Please come and say hello at the shows; it’s nice to connect with you face to face.

POWER POP SUMMIT... July 14th 8:00 p.m.

Tomorrow night at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, Ned, Matt, and Taylor will join Bostonian singer/..songwriter Bleu on the last night of his 3 week residency. The Rooney boys will also be playing alongside the legendary Roger Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Imperial Drag, Beck, Air) and Mike Viola (Candy Butchers, That Thing You Do/The Wonders, Solo record bad assness). The superband known as Mogul will perform songs off some of the aforementioned records so don't miss it! This show will sell out so go to The Hotel Cafe calender website for tickets.

"This just in...Rooney will be playing a special accoustic set at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood Tuesday night!. The set will include songs from the first 2 records as well as some never before played cuts from the upcoming release. In addition, Matt, Ned, and Taylor will also be accompanying Boston transplant and epic power pop troubadour/..songrwriter Bleu, who is hosting the evening in celebration of his new record, "A Watched Pot." It's going to be a great night of entertainment. The show starts at 9 p.m. and is 21 and up...sorry kids."

Though Ned and Louis lost a last minute coin toss to appear in the film, keep you eyes peeled for Matt, Robert, and Tayor. Rumor has it Matt may even have some off the cuff improv. Rooney to Perform at Bleu's 'Record Release Residency'

Los Angeles recording artist Bleu will be playing several shows at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, CA to promote the upcoming release of his album "A Watched Pot." Rooney will be joining Bleu at his June 30 show. For all the show details, visit Bleu's MySpace.

Rooney the final headliner for Dfest

"Rooney, the latest headliner, is a five piece, influenced by bands such as the Beach Boys, Superdrag, ELO, Blur and the group's hometown of L.A. It's toured with acts such as Weezer, Kelly Clarkson and the Vines.

Rooney joins Cake, Mates of State, Ra Ra Riot, Dengue Fever, the Cool Kids, Carney, Ian Moore, Here II Here, Manda Mosher. the Black Crowes, Ozomatli, The Knux, Dub Trio, Blue October, Gogol Bordello, Citizen Cope, Bassnectar, Gringo Star, the Uglysuit, Rachelle Van Zanten, Joe Pug, Gil Mantera's Party Dream, DJ Rekha, Bill Hamel, Delta Spirit and Other Lives, as well as a bumper crop of emerging and local and regional artists.

Dfest music conference and festival is July 24-25 in the Blue Dome District of downtown Tulsa."
