After much anticipation, the Rasa 9 debut album, The Breeding Ground, is now available for online purchase...

We haven't intentionally been building the anticipation, but it has been increasing nonetheless, and Rasa 9 is pleased to announce the release of their debut full-length album, The Breeding Ground.  The album will be available for purchase online officially on March 17, but for those of you on the mailing list, you'll have the opportunity to purchase it in advance.

The other big news is our album release party, which is coming up very soon.  Details on that are as follows:

**  Everyone, please make every possible effort to arrive before 9:30 pm.  The club is only going to offer a reduced cover until then. 


There will be an hour-long sponsored champagne bar and discs will be available for $7 with paid admission.

We holed ourselves up in the studio last night and forced ourselves through the last few songs that will be on the final LP.  The final tally is not up on the number of songs, but it's definitely going to be somewhere between 12 and 14, so we'll be dropping a number of tunes on everyone that no one outside of the 9 circle has even laid ears upon yet.  We'll be laying down Clayton's drum tracks this weekend, and then over the next two weeks, we'll be laying down additional instruments, some textures, and finishing up vox.  Mixing will probably commence in mid-June, and our cd release and live debut will follow tentatively in early August.  We're all really excited about the music and taking it to the streets.  Thanks to everyone for being supportive and making a choice.

The exhaustive search for a drummer has recently provided Rasa 9 with the entrance of Powerhouse Clayton.  Through an extended period of playing all over the world, Clayton brings a unique style and approach to the total experience.  Currently, the band is recording drums and putting the finishing touches on a handful of songs.  Look for the release of a disc with at least 12 songs within the next two months, along with the live debut of Rasa 9.  More details to follow...
