Hey guys. It’s Emma. This is my first blog for Myspace. I’m so excited to be able to communicate with you directly. I am super excited about my new album, UNFABULOUS AND MORE: EMMA ROBERTS coming out on September 27th. Now I know some of you think – she doesn’t sing that great on UNFABULOUS, so why would I do an album. Let me tell you… When I got the job to be on UNFABULOUS, not only did I have to audition a million times, but I had to sing and play the guitar. A lot of people think I was just given the job. Not true. I had to go up against a lot of other girls. I’ve been singing since I was like 8 years old. I used to go to the Farmer’s Market in LA and sing on stage every weekend. In fact, that is where I was spotted by my manager, who still represents me today. I sing on the show as my character, Addie. Addie is not supposed to be perfect. Remember, that’s the title of the show – UNFABULOUS. The point is that she is not fabulous and polished. She is just a girl trying to fit in with other kids. So her singing may be imperfect, but that is me, acting as Addie. You can hear my real voice on my record, coming out September 27th.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble. I am really grateful to be able to work on such a fun show as UNFABULOUS and I look forward to sharing my music with you. I even co-wrote one of the songs. It’s called THIS IS ME. I hope you like it! I want the songs to inspire both boys and girls, to go for their dreams and be happy with whatever they do in life. I know I’m living my dream and I hope you guys get to live yours too.
