It’s been a little while since the last update so here’s
what’s been happening in the Sly One vs Jurrane production world recently.
After a busy few months, the first result of recent studio labours
has just been released: the Sly One vs Jurrane remix of Johan Ekman: ‘Shade Of
Your Soul’, which came out in April on Discover Dark Records. Already supported
by Paul van Dyk on his Vonyc Sessions radio show and live set appearances, this
powerful tech-trancer is available at iTunes, Beatport, Audiojelly and all good
paid download sites.
Also due for release very soon is the huge Sly One vs
Jurrane remix of Stowers & Young: ‘Ocean’, forthcoming in May on
Bristol-based Perceptive Recordings. The previous Sly vs Jurrane remix on
Perceptive was supported by world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren and a 2008 Web Vote
Winner on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World radio show, and ‘Ocean’
promises to follow in the same vein: a massive anthem that’s been tearing the
roof off at recent sets prior to release. Look out for this one: it promises to
be huge!
Meanwhile, the finishing touches are being put to the debut Sly
One vs Jurrane EP on Discover Records. A double-header of major new tracks ‘Silicone
Stars’ and ‘Citizen’, this EP will feature both sides of the Sly One vs Jurrane
production split personalities: unique pounding tech and gorgeous uplifting trance.
Both tracks are being road-testing at gigs near you, and look out for a full
release some time in 2009.
Finally, in very special news, ‘This Late Stage EP’, Sly
One's first solo release since ‘House of Muzik’
is also due out this year on Discover, featuring the tracks ‘This Late Stage’ and You, showing two distinct sides
to Sly One's sound: lush uplifting trance and thumping progressive grooves. The
buzz around this release is hard to express in words, but watch out for a very
special remix of ‘This Late Stage’ from a major
trance production name, coming soon. In the meantime the tracks are both being
hammered by Sly One, Jurrane and Discover A&R man John Askew, so look out
for these in forthcoming live sets!
Don’t forget you catch both Sly and Jurrane every month as
part of their regular DJ residencies at the incredible Planet Angel parties in
London. Check out the website at www.planetangel.net for more information – and
