Our colleagues from Release interviewed Skinny Puppy regarding the delayed release of their new album "In Solvent See". The band who just completed their "In Solvent See" tour after 30 dates through the USA and Canada, saw the release of the "In Solvent See" album delayed due to internal issues with the German label SPV. The solvency company holds the future release of recordings so says Ogre: "We have been approached by the insolvency company which has been approached by the (German) government which has been approached by SPV. In the summer there was talk about a solution coming by August 22 2009 and it went on and on... We committed to this tour before it all happened. We followed the promise of what it meant to our fans. The show production and finances became a "do it yourself" type thing".

The band's last album was 2007's "Mythmaker". It was released on January 29, 2007, in Europe and on January 30, 2007, in North America. The Canadian industrial band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1982. Initially envisioned as an experimental side project by cEvin Key while he was in the new wave band Images In Vogue, Nivek Ogre soon joined as vocalist and Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project. Over the course of a dozen studio albums and many live tours, Key and Ogre have been the only constant members.

New York's LEVEL 2.0 has signed with Nilaihah Records and is now releasing their label debut. The band merges - and we quote the label - depth, emotion, grit and club-ready beats into their aggressive dance floor style of industrial music. Level 2.0 (pronounced: Level two-point-zero) is an EBM/Industrial band based out of Long Island, New York. Their latest full-length album, "Armageddon", is their first release on Nilaihah Records. Mastered by Ted Phelps of Imperative Reaction. Order your copy right here for 12 US$.

Mike Hoffman (singer/lyrics) & Matt Clennan (synth/programming) formed the band in 2005. In August of the same year, this duo entered the electronic scene with their first (and self-released) album entitled "Dreams of Youth". Their "Betrayal" EP followed in Autumn 2005 and was released by Nemesys Music. In 2007, Alex Matheu (Negative Format / Parallel Project / Sector 9 Studios) helped produce and master Level 2.0's "Intercept" release. More info at www.myspace.com/level2pointzero .

Alfa Matrix has announced the pre-orders for the 2nd album by Unter Null. "Moving on" is the follow-up to her debut album "The Failure Epiphany" which catapulted her instantly to the top of the underground electronic scene. Engineered by Claus Larsen (Leaether Strip), "Moving On" reveals how much Unter Null has matured and broadened her artistic approach since her debut was released in 2005. This comeback album is available now in pre-order in 3 different versions, a normal CD version, a deluxe carton box edition including the exclusive "Moved On" bonus album (featuring some 9 exclusive songs plus 4 remixes from album songs by Acylum, Neikka RPM, Kant Kino and DYM) and a super fanbox edition will also be marketed in very limited quantities including a T-shirt, parts of Unter Null's keyboard that Erica crushed into pieces after composing this new album and the bonus "Mixing On" album with exclusive remixes by Siva Six, Larva, Wynardtage, Implant, Alien Vampires, Esence Of Mind, Dedman, HEX RX, Xyogen, Fraqtured:sound, Freakangel and Detritus.

Sole creation of American artist Erica Dunham, the Unter Null project was initiated in 1998. After years of classical piano training, as well as cello and guitar, the foray into electronic music began. Unter Null's sound could be described as equal parts melody and noise, venom balanced with sentiment, and a blend of sounds influenced by a wide variety of genres spanning from industrial, classical, black metal, and IDM.

Ft. Lauderdale-based electro/industrial artist Miss FD - who recorded two albums ("Reference Version" and "Assimilation Illusion") under the project known as Frightdoll - has officially launched the single "Together Forever". The deliberately light-hearted dance track "Together Forever" is more tongue-in-cheek than most of FD's earlier works, while remaining true to the darkly seductive vibe that helped gain her recognition for her Frightdoll project.

First single for Miss FD, 'Together Forever' available nowThe digital single is available for download from today December 17th on through Amazon.com MP3, Amazon.de MP3 and iTunes. The Belgian Alfa Matrix label (home to Front 242, Ayria, Leaether Strip, ...) has been chosen to release the newest album by Nitzer Ebb, "Industrial Complex", for Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Italy and Luxemburg (in collaboration with Major Records). This special "Belgian" edition released by Alfa Matrix will feature a bunch of exclusive remixes not available on any other version of "Industrial Complex". The list of all featured remixers on this album edition will be revealed in the next days. You can expect many big names from the EBM scene and remixes going from extended versions in the band's best tradition to pure electro rehashes sounding like a mix of Nitzer Ebb, Depeche Mode and Chemical Brothers. The band's 6th studio album to date was once again produced by Flood (Editors, Depeche Mode, ...) and features guest vocals by noone else than Depeche Mode's songwriter Martin L. Gore on the track "Once you say".

On top of that, Alfa Matrix offers a free extra label compilation with each order. Good to know, oldschool ebm fans will be delighted to learn that one of the songs included on this compilation is a brand new track by Pouppee Fabrikk. Alfa Matrix furthermore prepared a special T-shirt to celebrate the old school EBM scene holding the bassline "EBM - my way of life" (available as M - L - XL - Girlie). Below are the various packets you can order now for the new Nitzer Ebb album:

While Erasure are releasing the special "The Phantom Bride Remix EP" and the re-mastered edition of "The Innocents", their biggest selling album ever, the band is also working on a new album in New York so Andy Bell told PinkPaper. Andy Bell: "Well Vince lives in Maine, so rather than me going up there he comes down to New York so we've been writing for the next Erasure record. We're just getting melody ideas together really because usually the lyrics come afterwards. We just get all the tunes together..."

In more related news, Andy Bell completed his 2nd solo album and as it seems, the success of this new album will define whether we'll get to hear and see Erasure earlier than planned: "It just depends on what happens with the solo record. I mean, touch wood, I'm hoping that more people will get to hear about it than the last one. But you never know."

And Bell also revealed that he did a track with Kate Pearson from the B-52's which isn't finished and he also did a duet with Perry Farrell which will be on Bell's new solo record. The rest of the interview is lots of (funny) gay chat, nice read overall though not really all that informative. But who cares, everyone needs a laugh or a smile every now and then.
