Award-winning singer/songwriter Avery Stafford is scheduled to perform live in concert on December 4, 2009 in Paris, France. This is Stafford's first European concert performance, and the anticipation of his appearance has already begun to create buzz in both the US and Europe. His independently released album in 2005 entitled Undignified (http://www.amazon.com/Avery-Stafford/e/B000APY4PW/ref=ntt_mus_dp_pel) received radio airplay and critical acclaim especially from international Gospel radio and Black radio stations. "How Sweet It Is (2b loved by You!)" received medium to heavy rotation from stations in Germany, Great Britain, and The Netherlands to name a few.

Just Davies headlines the December concert with Avery Stafford as a featured special guest artist. The concert will take place at Temple de Bethel, 26 - 28 rue Arago, Saint-Ouen, Paris, France. For more information about the event, contact The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Paris.

Jon Gibson and I have been friends for a minute.  I have loved his music and ministry, but God allowed me to get to know JG and his family.  Needless to say, doing music together has been a dream.  And now it is a reality!  Check out the latest song called My Friend.  I wrote the music and lyrics and Jon is producing the track.  Plus he is playing on the track and singing background vocals.  PTL for this song.  Would love to you know you think!

Last Fall, I wrote a ballad called Come To You.  I told my producer Eddie M. that I was feelin' a soulful, R&B ballad vibe to this song.  He listened to it for a few days and said that he was hearing something a lil' different out of the song.  Check it out and tell me what you think.  See if anyone catches the play on words in the 2nd verse.  Not everyone gets it ... I hope that YOU do!!!

Well I must admit that I was surprised by the nice response to the first sneak preview.  So if it aint broke, don't fix it ... let's try another sneak peak!  This is a very important song for me personally (not that the first wasn't).  On many levels with many layers, this song is near and dear to my heart.  It is called Love You Like I Do.  I uploaded an unmixed version, as none of the new stuff is mixed yet.  Still I wanted to let you hear it and see what God is doing inside of me these days.

I seem to be writing a lot of love songs.  I pray that they touch your heart as much as they are my own.  This song features the incredible Adam Nitti on bass.  He hangs with an up and coming named Steven Curtis Chapman!!!  Yes, I mean THAT Steven Curtis Chapman.  You can catch Adam's stuff at http://www.myspace.com/adamnittimusic.  He is AMAZING!  Also the B3 guru is Troy Welsted.  He tours regularly with Pink.  Yes, I mean THAT Pink.  Matt Mendoza, my dear brother, is playing the nice guitar stuff.  You can find him on my Top Friends list, so check out his stuff as well.

Feel free to leave comments if you would like.  Peace!

I just posted a new song on AverySpace called I'm Yours.  You can listen to it for the next seven (7) days before it is deleted off of the playlist.  It would be great to hear your comments and feedback regarding this beautiful and intimate song.
I am posting it for two main reasons.  The first is purely promotional  -- getting the buzz of anticipation started for my new album.  Hopefully it is coming out this Fall (have you been praying!!!).  The second is purely spiritual.  This song has ministered to me in ways I could have never imagined.  By far, recording this song was the most difficult experience of my career.  Just the emotion and intimacy of the text and music -- WOW ... it just got to me.  Anyway, I pray that you like it.  But I am not kidding when I say it is out of here in seven (7) days!!!

BTW ... let your friends know that I'm Yours is up and running.  I want as many folks as possible to hear it.  ENJOY!!!
