Hay guys, wonderful news we have a brand new website.  One of our awesome volunteers for the past few years took it upon herself to do hours and hours of research to make our website very informative about our animals, how to donate, and how to come and see us.  She has dedicated weeks of work to make this website and we cannot tell her enough how much we appreciate her.  There is still many more things to add and to complete but the bulk of the info is there. We are still working hard with her to make the website more interactive and new information will be updated continuously.  Event calendars will be on there, new rescues, our gift shop items and more.  So please bookmark our website and check us out.  So go to www.foreverwildexotics.org as soon as you can and keep on coming back.  Until next time take care and God Bless.

Hi everyone, thanks to our dedication to our amazing animals our family was chosen for the show Extreme Makeover.  Not only was our home life blessed but Ty, Paige, Ed, Michael, Paulie and ABC took on our lifes work, our beloved sanctuary.  We are not kidding when we say that our heart and soul has been put into keeping Forever Wild running through bad and thin times.  It all paid off one morning January 31, 2009 when we heard those amazing words from Ty himself.  Many sacrafices were made to get where we are today so we invite all of you to please come and see us very soon, click here and God Bless

Current mood:  anxious
Hi everyone, well we got a call a few weeks ago someone needing a home for a full grown white tiger out of Vegas so "Diana" will be here tomorrow Tuesday 8/11/09.  We are so excited that we can be here for her and provide peace and comfort for the rest of her life.  We will give her time to settle in and get used to all her new keepers and furry friends.  We are so grateful to everyone that sends in donations to help keep us working for these wonderful animals.  If it weren't for all of those loving caring hearts that send in the finances to keep our doors open where would these guys end up going.  Sanctuary like ours are always filling up to maximum capacity so fast we hope sometime in the very near future we can expand our buildable land so that we can help more animals.  Please keep this in mind that we will need a structural engineer to donate time and effort to help us get our wash revised so that we can help more animals in need.  Remember we are open to the public now so if you are in the area please come by for a tour.  We just got word from the county that we can no longer provide night tours twice a week, they are not approving us to be open at night for the public.  We are looking into creating more great ways to help the animals and be a part of making their lives loved, safe and at peace.  Keep in touch to hear about how you can help us with one of our future projects of a extra large recreational enclosure for the big cats to experience natural exciting behaviors.  Running, jumping, swimming climbing all apart of being a happy big cat.  We appreciate all of your support and look forward to having you all come by to meet Diana soon.  Take care and God Bless,   Chemaine

It is with a very sad heavy heart that we are announcing the passing of our beloved lady tiger Tantra.  She was going on her 21st year but with a struggle.  She was one of the most beautiful vibrant and high spirited tiger we had the joy of knowing.  She had many good times and was very very well loved by everyone.  Our staff and especially Joel and I grew so attached to her over the years that even our biggest toughest looking guys could not help but cry.  Red eyes, lots of sniffels and no waterproof mascara in sight.  We took Tantra into our heart many years ago, she came with a really tuff atitude and some problems with broken k9's and a bad front declaw. We did everything we could to fix the problems with the help of the Paw Project but with her age she was having more and more problems with bad bad arthritis.  I can only hope that she was not in much pain in her last days but I am also comforted with the knowledge that she is at peace and lived many years more than if we did not give her another chance.  Please join us in remembering a true gift in all our lives.  Tantra was a treasure to all.  The Lord's blessing to you all.

It is true we opened our doors July 6, 2009 after a long and stressful adventure with the county of San Bernardino we finally got our day on June 18th and had our public hearing to rally the community together with letters, emails, faxes and actually showing up to support us in getting the road paving requirement waived.  For those of you that were not aware of the requirement left on us after we received the great blessing of having Extreme Makeover and our communtiy come and give us the greatest gift anyone can dream of we were told by the County of San Bernardino that we could not use the Learning Center and Sanctuary for public access for tours because we needed to pave the road 1.3 miles.  The orginal estimate from a paving company was about 1 million dollars a mile and then when the company found out we had a dip in the road which was in a waterway the price tag went up to 5 million dollars.  This was a highly unreachable request and we were still considered to be a home based business and live in a community where almost all roads are unpaved.  So with the help of the community again we were able to state our plea and have over a dozen or so people talk with us on our behave to succeed in getting the road paving requirement waived.  Followed by a call from the county to give us the green light to open our doors.  We are so very excited to have opened this past Monday and have a people showing up to show there excitment, gratitude for our work and financial support to supply a wonderful future to all our wonderful animals.  With improvement still happening as we speak we are glad that everyone that has passed through these doors so far has been nothing but impressed.  We have gotten much posititive feedback and we are so happy that all the hard work that was put into making this happen paid off trifold.  If you would like to know more about how you can book a tour they are by appt a small price to pay for not paving a 5 million dollar road please call us at 760-868-2755.  We will be open for business Mon-Sat 10-5 and Sun 12-5 and flashlight tours on Wed in summertime only 8:30 to 9:30 provided with a goodie bag.  We have different tours available from general tour, guided tour with staff member and VIP tour with a founder a picture and souviner.  We hope to hear from you all very soon.  Spread the exciting word. God has given us many blessing to share, today is a great day.  Take care.

Hi everyone well we are going on our third snow day up here in the High Desert.  There is white for as far as the eye can see.  We have the tortoises inside the house by the wood burning stove and we have constantly checking on the cats to make sure everyone is doing ok.  We are mostly concerned about the older animals.  We normally do not get weather like this.  It was fun the first day ohhhh ahhhh but now we are at about at least 3 feet.  The kids have been in the house for 3 days straight breifly going outside only to discover again that it is very very cold.  The animals have been out and enjoying the snow.  Everytime we go outside to check on the snow level on the roofs we are greeted with chuffs and rubbing.  We are having to sweep and rake the snow off the roofs to make sure we don't get to much load on them.  Isn't this kind of weather supposed to be in the east coast or at least the mountains not in the desert? lol.  So far everyone is doing great.  The smaller cats don't seem to be very happy about the wetness but the leopards, cougars and tigers especially are just full of energy.  We took the cub out for a walk today and she was so happy.  She went to see the other tigers like saying neeeners neeeners I am out and you are not.  But then she started to get just a little to crazy so we put her back.  Our neighbors also came over to help us with getting the snow off the top of the caging and then we had big snowball fights.  We are all thawing out now with what little heat we have from our woodburing stove.  Most of us are wearing two pairs of clothing to keep warm.  We are supposed to have this all through the day and into the night so I am sure we are not going to be able to get out of here for awhile.  If we don't get the chance to later all of us here at Forever Wild would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Please keep us in your prayers also Joel was laid off last Monday and will really need help fast in finding him another job if not only to try to make this Christmas for our children that are so awesome and supportive.  As soon as possible we will try to post some pictures for you all to enjoy seeing the cats have a winter white wonderland.  Until next time guys be safe and be smart.  Chuffs to all,  Chemaine and family
