Alt Dance starlet NADIA ALI writes “FINE PRINT” on the Wall

First solo artist album “Embers” available September 15^th

New York, NY (August 3, 2009) – Following the success of her hit singles “Crash and Burn” and “Love Story,” singing sensation Nadia Ali has just released her gem, “Fine Print” from her album Embers.  In addition, iTunes will feature previously unreleased versions of “Fine Print” remixed by Serge Devant, tyDi, Alex Sayz and Carl Tricks.  Ali’s full length album Embers will be available worldwide on Tuesday, September 15 from her own label, Smile In Bed. 

Though it is the 3^rd single “Fine Print” marks the first song Nadia wrote for Embers.  “The lyrics explore the feeling of bumping into the one that got away but trying to play it cool when you do,” Nadia explains.  The lyrics, combined with the perfect music and beat, take you on a journey that fuses pop, melancholy rock and electronica in a manner reminiscent of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.  

Nadia Ali first burst onto the music scene as the vocalist and songwriter for the electronica group iiO where she earned praise from fans and critics alike for the hit 2001 dance floor anthem “Rapture.”  When Nadia left to pursue a solo career in 2005, other heavyweight names in dance music were quick to pursue collaborations with her including Armin Van Buuren, Starkillers, Tocadisco, Sultan and Ned Shepard to name a few.  In June 2008, Nadia released her first solo single “Crash and Burn” which became an instant club smash, reaching the top 10 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart.  Her follow up single “Love Story” was released earlier this year and topped Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart at #1 in April of 2009.

New music

There is a lot of new stuff in the works for the second half of 2009... look out for collaborations with Starkillers, Tocadisco, Sultan & Ned Shepard and more soon.  My next single, "Fine Print", is at the remix stage right now, and is set to be released in June.  And the long awaited album, is slated to be the next release after that... I promise!

I am excited to announce that my new single, Love Story, will be out on February 10, 2009.   For the first month it will be available exclusively on Beatport.com, and will be available on iTunes and other digital retailers from March 10, 2009.  You will be able to check out the original album mix of Love Story, produced with Sultan & Ned Shepard, here a few days before the release.

The February 10 release will include remixes from Starkillers, Sultan & Ned Shepard and Andy Moor, and will be supported by a new music video that will be posted here very soon!  Further remixes from The Scumfrog and others will follow.

Just days after being premiered, Love Story was the number one breakout on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Chart, was featured on a number of the world's top mix shows, including Armin Van Buuren's "A State Of Trance," and was record of the week on Above & Beyond's "Trance Around The World."

I will be having an official record release party, with my full live show, on March 7, 2009 at Hiro Ballroom in New York City.  Hope to see you all there!
