The reunion was amazing! Whether we look a lot different, or look exactly the same -- okay, pretty much the same -- it was wonderful to see everyone!
No one said I looked the same, which believe me, was a high compliment!
I reconnected with some friends I was close to in HS and beyond, and connected with others I hadn't known well at all. And, yes, I will stay in closer touch with many classmates and their spouses. The spouses were so much fun -- women and men I'd be proud to call friends!!
Today is see-the-Mama day, see my bro and sis-in-law, and (I hope) meet with one of the dearest people on the planet -- a former fellow from my teaching days. Tomorrow we're back on the road and computer time may be sketchy. Take good care, everyone!
Light, Nancy

Hiya!
So I didn't have the time to post a blog before I left on Tuesday. Instead, I'm posting tidbits as I can.
FACT. The highest point in Florida is near DeFuniak Springs. We didn't make the pilgrimage to see it -- no time -- but I've put that on my to-see list.
FACT. There's a heck of a lot of cotton grown in southeast Arkansas. And along all the other backroads we've taken from Alabama to Mississippi to Louisiana.
FACT -- and cue the scary music for this one. I went a day plus without a Starbucks. I know, I know. Talk about a nightmare! But we found a Starbucks in Jackson. The sad thing is that there wasn't one in Vicksburg.
Best strange name seen on a road sign. Toad Suck Park. Enough said.
We've dodged the horrible storm outbreak, and hope family and friends stayed safe through them! Also hope Atlanta and other areas that need rain will get the rain without the damage!
Tomorrow we hit Tulsa, and will be busy for most of the weekend. I'll update when I can, and wish all a marvelous weekend!

Wow, my first blog on My Space!
I've been asked to post something about my book, so here goes!
LA VIDA VAMPIRE is my April 1, 2008 debut, a Berkley trade.
Buried for more than 200 years, Cesca Marinelli is unearthed in a time when vampires are a protected species. She embraces life in the 21st century, and is soon a surfer girl/ fiend for bridge/ ghost tour guide in the Oldest City of St. Augustine, FL.
Cesca just wants a normal afterlife, but when a tourist is killed and she's the prime suspect, she's forced to team up with hunky former slayer Deke Saber to solve the murder. Saber wants Cesca to stop trying to pass for mortal and embrace her vamp powers before the killer strikes again.
La Vida Vampire is the first book in a new series, and I had a blast writing it! I also had fun exploring the theme of personal power -- how we give our power away and how we claim it. I'd like to see far more people claiming their true power within!
That's it for my first blog! And now I return to Cesca and Saber in their second adventure featuring moonlight, mystery and magick on the beach!
