Current mood:  cheerful
Hey everyone. As you may have noticed, I turned 21 on November 28th. This is exciting for me, because now I don't have to worry about an age limit when I want to go to shows, clubs, etc. Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes!

So here's a big announcement for you: after a lot of bullshit and fighting with hosting/domain people, my brand spanking new website is up for all to check out: www.scarlettpomers.com

Let me know what you think of all the new content! There will be a pre-order button for my EP up within the next week.

Speaking of my EP, I have gotten together a wonderful group of musicians and we just finished our second rehearsal last night! I am so impressed by how quickly these guys have learned my songs, and how good they all sound playing them! Already! I think we just might have to perform very soon....

The holidays are coming up, and I would just like to say this: I know it's "cheesy" to say, but please don't FREAK OUT over gift-giving. People are not going to drop dead if you don't buy them something. Giving gifts shouldn't be an obligation, it should be an act of showing your appreciation for that person. No matter what you celebrate, whether it's Christmas, Yule, Hannukkah, whatever....please remember that the best part about this season is the lights, the hot cocoa, and most of all, showing your family how much you love and appreciate them.

And for pete's sake, please watch A Nightmare Before Christmas and A Christmas Story!

Anyhoo, now what you've all been waiting for(yeah right): the December Playlist!:

http://www.playlist.com/playlist/18612157451

I hope you enjoy it. I think it's a bit more mellow than the last two.

Have a safe, happy, wonderful holiday season,
Scarlett

Greetings all. How was everyone's Halloween? My own was excellent. Some friends and I dressed up like zombies to see the King of Halloween himself, Rob Zombie! This was my 3rd time seeing the man, and I have to say - it was the best show so far. Rob is really on top of his game. What did you guys do?

I've held band auditions and am close to getting started rehearsing. I cannot wait to start doing live shows again. Performing live is my favorite part of doing what I do. I've got some cool surprises for all of you that come and see me play!

As you can see, it is now November. The 28th of this month marks my 21st birthday...yikes! Also, with the coming of this month is your swanky new NOVEMBER PLAYLIST:

Hope you enjoy. More to come later.

Watching the leaves and freedom fall,
Scarlett

PS - I'm listening to a lot of King Diamond lately.

Hey everyone. How are you enjoying the Season of the Witch so far? We had some rainy days this past week, here in LA, which was wonderful while it lasted. At the moment, I am currently putting together a band of musicians to start playing live shows!

Now, for the point of my post. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm always interested in seeing what others are listening to. I love browsing playlists, and finding new artists. So, I thought I'd share what I'm listening to with all of you, in the form of a new playlist each month! And so, without further ado, here is my October playlist. I hope you find something new, that you like!

In other news, I've put up a couple brand new photos for you guys to check out, in my gallery. Hope you like 'em.

Enjoy a teabag filled with blood for me,
Scarlett

Hello everyone! It's Scarlett again, coming to you from Wunderland. I'm sure you're all wondering what's up, and why the album release is taking so long. It's almost here, I swear! I will be announcing the release VERY soon, as the CDs are already being pressed!

If you haven't seen it yet, check out my brand new myspace layout! It features some new photos that you may or may not have seen yet. Also - my website(scarlettpomers.com) is being completely revamped as well, and should be up and ready for you to check out next week! Exciting.

Speaking of photos, I've got a photo shoot with one of my very favorite photographers(as well as close friend), and so I will have some brand new shots to show you all. Once again, thanks for being patient with me. I'm doing everything I can to get you the goods. :]

For now, here is a self-portrait I took earlier this week:

Hello everyone - Scarlett here again. I hope you all had a good weekend - I defenitely did.

On Saturday, I shot some new photos for Retroscope Fashions, and I think they turned out pretty nice.

Then I traveled down to Irvine, CA to see one of my favorite artists play; Niyaz! If you haven't heard of this amazing group, they are an Iranian, modern-folk band. They are AMAZING. I was completely starstruck, watching the incredible Azam Ali(solo artist as well as lead singer of Niyaz) sing her heart out.
Here's a youtube video of Niyaz's song "The Hunt", set to various photos of wolves(my favorite creature in the mundane animal kingdom): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA4HSd0AOBU

I also got to take a quick ride in a tethered hot air balloon....we were 400 feet in the air. The cars and city below looked like tiny faery lights dancing along the ground.

I also attended a small Renaissance Faire in the Inland Empire, where I bought a new toy - a bowed psaltery. It's not too difficult to play - I've already learned "Greensleeves" and "Scarborough Fair".   Just what I need - more hobbies!

I hope you all have a wonderful week. The EP is almost ready for release!

Hey everyone!
Scarlett here. First of all, I want to thank you all for being so patient, (and loyal!) with me. My EP, Insane, will be out VERY soon. Within the next couple of weeks, we'll be announcing the official release date. From there you'll be able to order the CD from my website(scarlettpomers.com, which is being completely revamped and will be up very soon!), or itunes! I can't tell you guys how anxious I am to get this cd out to you, and I'm really happy with the feedback I'm getting on the new song clips.

Another piece of news I'd like to share with you all is the upcoming launch of my photography website, MYWUNDERLAND.COM! Some of you may already know this, but photography is my second love(after music).  Many of you have already seen some of the photos taken by me - right here on myspace, under the "New Photos" album. Yep, that's right; those are self portraits(My Wunderland Photography is me, heheh)! I don't just take shots of myself, though, don't worry. On MyWunderland.com, you'll be able to see my portfolio, and order prints if you like what you see! I'm really excited about this, and I hope you guys will enjoy my work. Also, I've uploaded some brand new shots in the "new photos" gallery for you to check out. :]

Speaking of photography, I've been doing a lot of self portraits for my favorite designers. Some of them are up here on myspace, but you can see more of me modeling these beautiful garments on the designers' websites!:
www.RetroscopeFashions.com
www.Kambriel.com
www.Meschantes.com

And more to come, so stay tuned.

Also, for those who like this sort of thing, I'm on Twitter: twitter.com/spomers

But enough about business, let's get real here: I just have to express my sadness at hearing some bad news about one of my favorite bands, Dimmu Borgir. Two members of the band(Mustis, keyboardist; and ICS Vortex, bassist/clean vocalist) have left the band. Although I understand that sometimes band members have to separate in order for the good of the music, I still can't help but worry that they will no longer sound like themselves! Plus, Vortex's vocals are a brilliant addition to Dimmu's music. Ah, well. I wish both the current members of Dimmu, as well as Mustis and Vortex, the best. I know that both parties will go on to great things!

Anyways, that's a lot for my first blog entry in a while. Now, I've got to go finish my pirate costume for the RenFaire this weekend......

Corset Lace and a Happy Face,
Scarlett
