Current mood:  full
Hey all-

I had some extra time on my hands this Thanksgiving, so instead of eating that extra helping of cranberries, I decided to write and record four songs over the past two days. I don't really know what to make of them, but it was fun. They're all under two minutes long, so humor me and have a listen if you're interested. The cranberries are still in the fridge if you were wondering. I maxed out on take-out instead...

Happy food comas-

Hey all

So I just finished my latest album "Lonely Little Everything" this morning with the mastering help of Corey Wills. It was going to be called "Hotel Hallways". I changed my mind. It happens. Anyway, I'm also leaving to go on the road with my friend Joe Robinson tonight. I'm really excited! Please send me a message if you'd like a copy of the new cd. It's free as usual. Happy summer everyone.

Jeepers creepers! I'm finishing up another little six song ep called "Hotel Hallways." Two rough cuts of songs are posted currently, and they will hopefully make it onto the cd. These most likely aren't the final versions, but it's all in the name of fun and sharing anyway, right?

I'll be sure to post another blog when everything is done.

Happy myspacing-

Hey guys-

I forgot to write this earlier: at the end of "Theme From A Prescription Drug Advertisement" you can hear the dreamy Andrew Lanthrum playing bass guitar. Swoon! Thanks Andrew.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to write this down somewhere that people can see it.

Anybody with a computer, some instruments, and a little time can record music, and it's wonderful. If you're reading this, you're probably in the Rockford/Dekalb/Chicago area. We are lucky enough to have an amazing music scene around here, but if you don't like what you're hearing at shows, please contribute. I don't mean record some songs that sound like this band or that band, but really add something to the community, make your statement. I don't think I have mastered this, but I'll keep trying. You might be capable of so much more. Who knows what you can do until you record a solid handful of songs.  It will make our scene healthier, and more interesting. Now that myspace allows anybody to post songs, why shouldn't we all have a few tunes up?

Okay, that's it. I usually don't rant like this, so forgive me if it's annoying.

Love

Ben

Hey dudes. I just wanted to mention that on the version I have up now, the wonderful Kara Eubanks plays violin on "Math Saves Lives". Thanks Kara! Roommates are great.

Hey there, I just wanted to mention that the illustrious Kelly Johnson plays the bass guitar on "Math Saves Lives". He sounds real nice-like. Thanks Kelly.
