"Wild Ride"is featured on MTV's hot reality series "THE CITY" SEASON 2 Premiere Episode and in the film AND THEN CAME LOLA...

When your song gets picked for a movie, you hope it's a good film...and when 2 of your songs get picked for 2 different movies-it's great to find out that they are BOTH films that not only are more than just good-but they are playing at numerous film festivals- in fact -they are at the same one, at the same time.

So-if you attended The Dinah Shore Weekend or if you have seen any of the pics of my weekend w/GirlBar at The Dinah Shore Weekend-you will have seen "me & the crutches"-NOT "me & the girls". Although that was 2 weeks ago, let it be known that my official upcoming calendar has received quite a shift these days..."I wasn't built to fall apart"; however, I am a bit broken --the least of my worries being- a busted right foot (YES, I WAS TAKING A FITNESS CLASS & I DID ACTUALLY COME DOWN- HARD AND FAST- OFF OF THE BOSU BALL)... And since then, there is a fine line between dedication and stupidity- & I seem to be walking (or rather hopping) COMPLETELY ON THAT LINE... With that being said and with much regret, disappointment, and just simply UGGGGGGGGGGGGGG- very recently- a few of my Reach Out charitable events, dance radio campaign/club dates and performances have been "postponed" (okay, that means TOTALLY NOT HAPPENING for right now). Thank you to those who have actually taken the time to send me such uplifting messages and to those of you who are helping me out -I truly appreciate your kindness and concern. (However, I do feel the need to post this-in THE most public of ways: ATTENTION ALL DANCE SCHOOL MOMS- PLEASE STOP SENDING & BRINGING ME COOKIES!!! Bad enough that I am "hopping" around (when I am not even supposed to be doing THAT) but I am sure that you don't want me to start ROLLING on the stage after this ordeal, do you?????)

"Free"-for you...
I decided to try something different for me-to share with those of you who care to listen (and read). Over the past couple of months, I started songwriting-again...(You might already know that my full length LP "Living My Life Out Loud" has been officially released-not so long ago-and everything that has gone on around the project has been a sort of magical experience for me-putting myself so "hands on" with it all.) It has taught and shown me a lot about people, this business, and especially myself.
I now feel a bit surprisingly compelled to put something out there-in "this" sort of fashion-which brings me to the song now available to listen to on my Myspace. The song is called "Free". I call 'this' type of recording 'very rough'-for many reasons. (Partially-because the vocal and mix are what they are-a sort of "one take" if you will...No frills...no fuss...and also, in part because these types of songs for me to write/perform-are always a bit 'rough' for me to 'feel'. Anyone who knows me-or even has seen me perform these types of songs live-knows what I am talking about and even more so, anyone who has has felt or is 'feeling' something similar or going through something similar right now while reading/listening to the song -will understand...)*If you are truly 'feeling' this song, I would gladly give you one of my kleenex, btw...
I want to thank JamBox Recording Studio in NYC for allowing me to come in for a few short hours and to Drew, my engineer on this session and Lauren for being there at the studio-even though we barely said a word...
