I wrote a story on how you can get free makeup and perfume... the article is in today's Globe. It's pretty crazy...the biggest department stores will be giving away $175 million in high-end perfume, cologne, makeup, and skin care products in January 2009.

Why? They're doing this to settle an anti-trust lawsuit, that accused the stores of conspiring with top designer brands to keep prices really high all the time. The stores and cosmetics companies say they've done nothing wrong, but agreed to this massive giveaway to avoid a lengthy court battle.
