Here is some of my recent art. The colours and sharpness of image are rather poor, but that's life.

First of all here are two pictures from about a year back that I have just finished off. The first is a rather altered persepective picture of Calton Hill, Edinburgh. You can't see all these places at the same time like this and the pillars are radically reduced in number but somehow it reads as the place, even if the background hill is rather pointy.

This one in the end I just decided was finished as it is.

We get amazing light in the winter in Edinburgh. All these pastle peachy skys and people walking inthe semi gloom inthe afternoon. The three spires are St Mary's Cathederal. They just grabbed my attention a year or two ago and i took some photos and only now have I stated painting about them. This first one is quite heavily painted with palet knife

I feel happier with this interpretation of the scene

Now this last one was meant just to be a rather interesting underpainting that dissapeared below the palette knife work, but I rather like it as it is. But I have not painted it at a standard that should be seen as is since it was just underpainting. Where do I go from here?

I have just completed the first really satisfying ceramic piece that I have done. This is teh end of teh second term of nightclass and experiments up to now have paid of in The Cube.
