Christophe Szpajdel has designed logos for some of the black metal movements most notorious bands  and is currently on a run to pioneer the logo designs of the Depressiv Moderne  genre. You can see his art here: www.myspace.com/christopheszpajdel

Thank you for the kind words Christophe!

NINTH MOON BLACK debut album
This
band is amazing and heavily contributed on the developement, shaping
and honing on my now trademarked "Depressiv'Moderne" unique
style....slow down tempo rhythms, floatations, accoustics merging into
distorted, psychedelic at some point guitar riffs. In this case the
guitar riffs are not metalllic but saturated, forming a
"Firewall"....something unique, as every song builds up, from a soft
structure that intensifies with the advancement. On top of it, Ninth
Moon Black added some hypnotic effects like spoken voices, electronics,
FX and effects on the music to give a special feel through each song.
Again i have no title of the song handy but i can recognize some songs,
especially when i witnessed the band performing live at the Twilight
Bar in Portland. The third song is one of my favorites, starting with
twisted keyboards on a down tempo rhythm,,,,then accelerating and going
almost full speed....with that curtain of guitars that dangerously
flirts with metal....but still sounds different, making that band
unique in their style.  www. myspace. com/ninthmoonblack

So after 11 days and 2,500 miles we are home. I would say it was a blast, overall!!! We met some awesome people from germany that I now consider family, (Blackwaves), and some really cool people on the road. Some we knew, some were new friends. My neighbor saved our ass the day before we left with his welding skills. Otherwise we would of lost the trailer within day one. So thank you Andy, Sean and friends in Chico, Little Erin and Ian in Santa Cruz, Bekka/ Andy in SC as well, all the kids at the Pergolesi (sp?) coffee shop in SC, everyone in Woodland, Jason and Monet in fresno, who gave us all matching tattoos and got a lot of people to our show, and put us up for the night, Chris and room mates in S.F., I can’t remember their names, I wonder if it’s important to them?... inside joke, the old guy jerking off on the bus at 3:30 in the a.m. for keeping it interesting, Rachel, Sid and Mars In LA for the use of the kitchen and good conversation, Rich and the rest of Woven, Snow White cafe ( 32oz beers!),  Unknown Theater, everyone who supported us by attending shows and buying our stuff.  and if I forgot you... ease up.. it was a long trip. We will posting a new song from the album soon.. but maybe you should buy it? It comes with free stickers.... I’m sure we will post some stories from our adventures soon.... It was interesting to say the least...

Current mood:  cheerful
Well, we started back in November and I think we are done with our very first album roughly 2 years in the making. By that I mean we have gone through lineup changes and various uncertainties that have delayed us doing an actual album. So after all the revolving members, and playing some of these songs for way too fucking long now, they are finally going to be released to public via compact disc format. For us, it's exciting, for you, hopefully the same. We've put a lot of time and energy into these songs, ( not to mention freezing our asses off at our warehouse space), and we hope it to be the first of many albums to come. I feel personally that our sound is expanding all the time, and the songs we are working on now for the next record will be superior to these. Not to take away from these at all, I love them, but they were written under different circumstances and I feel after this tour with Blackwaves we will lay them to rest for a while and focus on new and more exciting material. I would like to add a cello player, and someone to do video for us. But that remains to be seen. In short we are excited to be finishing this, thank you Josh Alderson @ Dogwood studios, and many friends for their input along the way, Will from Midddian, Matt my brother, Moe my lovely girlfriend, and Jaden my daughter who told me, "daddy your music is really cool". that's all the inspiration I need. Over and out. Keep an eye out for this album soon. Released by Forgotten Empire records, NC

We are slowly working on getting our album done. Should be done by the end of December and out in Feb? We have two shows in Jan. one at Black Forest, and a benefit for a friend of the band who needs a kidney at the WoW hall. More soon...
